ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Cathy Scott-Clark and Adrian Levy are the authors of four books, most recently the acclaimed
The Meadow
(Harper Press UK; Penguin India). For eighteen years they worked as foreign correspondents and investigative reporters for the
Sunday Times
and then the
Guardian.
In 2009, the One World Trust named them British Journalists of the Year, having won Foreign Correspondents of the Year in 2004. They coproduce documentaries for British and American television, including in 2010 a film for C4
Dispatches
on Pakistan’s war on terror,
City of Fear
, which was nominated for an award at the Edinburgh International Television Festival. In 2012 they also produced for C4
Kashmir’s Torture Trail
, which has been nominated for the Amnesty International Media Awards 2013, and

, which was long-listed for a BAFTA and nominated for the Monte Carlo Television Awards 2013. Currently they are filming several new projects in South Asia and working on a fifth book in the United States and Gulf States.
