When Clay stopped
in front of me sitting at the table and looked
down at me through his lashes, my breath caught in my throat
as he held out his hand, silently asking me to dance.
I was locked onto his eyes, as
I took his hand tenderly a
nd
he backed up slowly, leading me to the
dance floor.  He pulled me in.  I could hear his heart beat faster against my ear as we began to sway.  The glow of our energy surrounded us, i
nterchanged our
mind, body, and soul, as our light filled the room.  Eyes beg
an to watch us mesmerized by the
power
we emanated, and I felt the
rush to my stomach when Clay teleported us away.  I pulled back to find we were standing in our tree house, and suddenly the stars became brighter through the glass ceiling, lighting the room completely.

“You just did that to show off your new skills, didn’t you?”  I said with a grin
.  With the new abilities we
had a
cquired now that we were bound together, we moved Earth, Air, and
Fire, expanding our kind into an entirely new realm of possibilities.  I wondered what our childr
en would be capable of, born of
our trinity blood, and I immediately blushed at the thought.

“No,
actually I
wanted to be alone when I gave you your present,” Clay said
,
surprisingly shy.  Reaching for his back pocket, his hand emerg
ed holding a small velvet box.

My eyes widened.
I looked at the box and then him, “Well, having you alone was my birthday wish, so the present would just be overkill,” I said, trying to hide my excit
ement at what could be inside.

“It’s not really a birthday present.  It’s something I should have given you a long time ago.  You didn’t get the big Binding Ceremony you wanted, but I thought you’d at least like to have the ring,”
h
e said opening the box, and I gasped.

“Clay,” I breathed,
completely speechless.

“It’s
a blue diamond.  I made it
using
all of
my old skills, thank you very much,” he said playfully.  Taking the ring from the box he slipped it onto my finger… a perfect f
it.  I couldn’t joke back.
I
t was too beautiful
to
mak
e a joke
.  The ring s
himmered against the starlight.
I looked at it closely and all of the intricate detail that went into the platinum band.  Its woven leaves reminded me of the sprawling tree tattoo covering his sculpted back.  I smiled, it felt like Clay, and somehow me too.  The interlaced prongs emerged up the sides delicately holding its centerpiece.  The oval shaped blue diamond shimmered brilliantly, as if the light came from within.  It was so stunning
, it took my breath away.

“It’s your Binding ring, but it’s also supposed to represent what we’ve overcome together,” Clay said sweetly, and I looked up at him with tea
rs of joy in my eyes.  Every time I looked at this
ring and its breathtaking blue diamond, I wouldn’t think of the
Famorii
.  I would think only of Clay’s hypnotic eyes and the light that shined within them, captivating me.

“I love it,” I whispered, touched by his thoughtfulness.  His alluring trance called me near and I leaned into him, brushing his raven bangs from his face to fall deeper into his gaze.  His cheek tugged up when he grinned and he wrapped his arms around me sinking deep into a passionate kiss.  His fragrance of pure, fresh rain filled my senses as sparks of cinnamon washed over me and I lit up with electricity from his warm embrace.  Clay’s unconditional love had repaired my
broken
heart, and he knew I would forever trust it in his hands.  He was my Trinity
Fae
, my Soul Keeper...
My King
