CHAPTER THREE
                                            Like a Boss
MAKAYLA

“Davion, every time you leave the house I can’t do nothing other than worry about you. I love you too damn much to watch you rip and run the streets and get killed or locked up,” Makayla argued.

“Makayla, I can’t have my woman out here busting her ass at some roach infested-ass restaurant or breaking her manicured nails at some warehouse. I’m already mad at myself for getting locked up for two years in that dog pound causing us to lose everything. That shit broke my heart to hear you say that you were working two damn jobs. But now it’s time to get the check right. I have to get my chips up so we can be good. I won’t allow no nigga to say he put me on. I’m making myself a boss,” Davion retorted.

“I’m a grown ass women and I’m always going to have a job; that’s just me. I actually like having a job instead of sitting on my big juicy brown ass waiting on you to take care of me. Davion, you promised me that when you got out of jail you would stop all this foolishness.”

Davion sighed, scratching his chin. “I am gonna stop.”

“You say that you are going to stop, but when Davion? Because every time Jacori or Kortez call, you go running. You stay leaving me high and dry.”

Davion and I were spending quality time and kicking shit like we did every Friday, but today he was trying to cancel our date for the streets. Don’t get me wrong, my man was making hella cash out in the streets, but all I asked of him was to always give me some time on Friday’s; so far, so good…at least until now. He didn’t think I heard him on the phone in the living room telling whoever was on the other end that he would be there in the next five minutes. I normally wasn’t this damn flustered with him going out, but he had been locked up for the last two years and it was difficult as hell for me. However, not once did I cry about it because I knew what the risks were when we first got together. It took some doing, but I hustled my ass off to get him out, paying $10,000 on his $30,000 dollar bond.

Yeah I was about that life when it came to riding from my man. Davion’s ass knew better than to leave me on a Friday. I just wanted the simple things out of life. Like my mom used to tell me before she died,
Do unto others as you want them to do unto you
, so I always tried to treat my man right. But why couldn’t he return the favor and get with the program? Hell, I worked two jobs when he was locked up so that I would be A1 on the outside and he would be straight on the inside. The only thing that helped me out was the fact that when he got indicted, the house and one of the cars was in my mom’s name.

“Makayla, are you even listening to me? I’m talking to you and you spacing off and shit.”

”I’m always listening to you, unlike someone else I know” I replied rolling my eyes.

“Mane, Kay quit tripping. I’ll be back in a few hours. Something major came up and it can’t wait.”

“Ugh. What is so damn important that you have to leave me home alone? Can’t I come with you?” I pleaded.

“No, but I will make it up to you. I promise,” Davion claimed. I had heard those words one too many times.

“I swear Davion, if you leave out of that door, I won’t be here when you come back,” I replied pointing to all of my belongings in the room. “I will take all of my shit and be out. I’m dead ass.”

I was tired of Davion leaving me in the house until the wee hours of the morning. I had been holding my man down and what did I have to show for it other than being married to him? We didn’t have any children, no pets, nothing that said that our union was permanent and I needed a man who would be here for me. It felt like he would never leave the game alone and I wasn’t waiting around on him to get his act together. I refused to let my life pass me by. Oh hell no, not me.

“You bein’ dramatic, Kay. You need to think about what you are saying ‘cause you are turned up right now.”

“Davion Davon Davis! I swear I’m not bullshitting. If you dare walk out that door, you are officially abandoning me and I will treat it as such. So leave if you want to, but just know I’m out for good. Don’t play yourself because you know I’ll do it.”

Davion looked at me with a mixture of love and pain in his sparkling hazel green eyes. I could see the sadness. Shaking his head he grabbed his phone, turned away from me and walked to the front door.

“Bye. I hope that it’s worth you losing me!” I yelled after him. My words must have hit a soft spot in his heart because he closed the door and walked back to me until we were completely face to face.

“Kay, you know that I love you more than anything in this whole entire world.  You also know I never beg or ask anyone for a damn thing, so please don’t leave me or make me beg.”

Davion kissed my lips so passionately that it made me feel bad for putting him on the spot and demanding that he choose me over the streets. He loved me and I knew that he did, but I craved him daily, but he spent so much time in the streets that I was always sound asleep by the time he got home. I deserved to be put first for once. Never had I put him second to anything

“Kay you deserve the world and more. I have to get out here and get it. Nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream. I’m out here every day busting my ass so that I can be able to give you what you deserve. I was self-raised, so all I know is the streets. I can’t see myself doing the nine-to-five thing, but the money I’m seeing out here in these streets will ensure that I keep you laced in the finest shit money can buy. You deserve the lifestyle of a queen; just let me be your king for a while.”

I rolled my eyes to the ceiling, “It’s not about the damn money. I can’t keep doing this shit. It’s too hard not knowing if you going to walk through the door or not. I don’t want to get that call one day that something horrible has happened to you, not to mention that I’m tied up in your shit as well. You think I wanna keep getting my hands dirty too?”

Davion ran his hand down the side of his face in frustration. “Baby you are the one that I married. I am very careful when I’m out here in these streets so stop worrying so much. I come home to my queen every night. Can’t nobody support you like I do. I have to be able to provide for our future kids. I need you to keep holding me down while I’m out here getting to the paper and trust me. I don’t like my lady getting her hands dirty. Please stop crying love.”

Tears were falling down my cheek like I had just lost my best friend; and it kind of felt like I had. I knew that I was being just a little bit selfish, but so was Davion. I pushed away from him gently, “I can't keep holding you down if I'm
always
going to feel second to the streets.”

Davion grabbed my chin forcing me to look into his beautiful eyes. “You are always number one. You don’t come second to anything. I show you how much I love you every day.”

“What is love if it just up and leaves every time a phone call comes in? Every day when you leave me I can't do anything, but worry about you. I used to feel like I was the oxygen that you needed to survive, but you replaced me with money. Am I just a pawn in your game?”

He let go of my face and stood back to look me up and down. “How the fuck do you feel like a pawn in my game?”

“You really want the answer to that? It’s because the only time I feel appreciated by you is when we fuckin and suckin.”

“Is that how you really feel?” Davion asked, grabbing me into his arms. “I appreciate you more than you know.” There was something about Davion that I couldn't resist. But every time we were together, a part of me felt like I was in a danger zone. He was all I wanted, needed and desired.

Davion and I had been in love for the past three years and it took him two years out of the three to marry me. At first he wasn't in the streets as much, but when his big brother Detrick died last year he took over his territory which is when he became distant.

I bit my tongue slightly. I was afraid to hear the answer to what I was about to ask. “Davion would you give it all up for me if I ask you to?” I tried looking into his eyes but he turned away from me.

“I know that you wouldn't ask me that.” I tried to hide my disappointment of his answer but it was written all over my face.

“Well, I’m asking you now. What’s it gonna be; me or the streets?”

“Makayla,” he whined my name. I hated when he did that shit.

“Please do not ‘But Makayla’ me!”

“Baby, what do you want from me? Just tell me and I'll make it happen. I can give you anything your heart desires,” Davion pleaded.

I wanted to punch him square in the mouth because he still didn’t get it.

“You can’t buy me. There's nothing materialistic that will make this pain in my heart go away. Baby I want you to leave this bullshit alone. Feel where I'm coming from for a change. Davion just leave.”

“Leave? What the hell are you talking about?”

“The game, that’s what! Leave the fuckin’ game and make me feel like getting you out wasn’t in vain! Make me feel like you will come back to me every night in one piece!” I felt my emotions hit overdrive as he stood there with his arms folded.

“Please don't make me choose,” Davion pleaded.

“Why not? Is it because you already know who you will choose? The thing that hurts the most to me is that I know it’s not me that you will choose.” Tears rolled down my face onto my dress, and as he stared into my eyes, I knew that Davion felt the pain in my trembling voice.

“I’m tired of this,” Davion commented before lifting me off of my feet and carrying me to our bedroom.

“You think that sexing me is gonna fix this?” I asked. He laid me in the bed and slowly kissed my lips. With every kiss a tear drop fell onto our lips. The planted kisses were salty and soft, and exactly what I needed at this precise moment. Davion unbuttoned my dress without taking his gaze off of me. I guess he feared that if he looked off, even for a split second, he might have lost me along with my attention. He wrapped his big arms around me and my body craved his touch. His hands were grabbing my thick curves, sending a bolt of electricity through my body. His sweet whispers where like music to my ears.

“Kay, I'm sorry, baby. You know, I love you.” Something about the way he said it made me believe him, but in the back of my mind, I knew this shit would happen again, I wasn't going to be naive, but I was enjoying the moment.

Davion flickered his soft, long tongue across my ear just the way he knew I loved it; he knew that it was one of my hotspots. He was about to release his inner sex genie. His hands continued to slide up and down my body as every sex organ on me begin to pulsate. Finally closing my eyes with anticipation, my mouth slightly opened, releasing the oxygen that I didn’t realized that I was holding. Davion lifted both of my legs until they were comfortably behind my head. It was no secret that I was as flexible as hell because I kept myself in the best shape possible for whatever freaky shit he might wanna get into.

I already knew it was about to go down, so I prepared myself by holding onto the rails of our headboard. He was rubbing on my favorite hot spots. He licked and kissed down the length of my body until he reached my clit. He flattened his tongue and began licking me up down and in a circular motion, not missing any spots.

“Oh shit daddy,” I moaned tightening my grip on the rails.

“You like that,” he whispered between moans and licks.

“Pleased don’t stop,” I begged as he opened my lips, exposing my pearl tongue. He ran the tip of his tongue over her as I squirmed under him.

“I told you about trying to run.” He gripped my thighs and sucked my whole clit into his mouth causing my hips to buck wildly. The more I struggled, the harder he sucked.

“Shiiiiiit,” I cried out as I felt my orgasm building. My pearl was pulsating like a drum as he continued to slurp on her. Just when I couldn’t take anymore, Davion slid his tongue inside of my pussy, coating his mouth with my juices. Within five seconds he had me drowning his face with my liquid love. He drunk it up like I was his morning cup of coffee. Releasing my legs from behind my head, he pinned me to the headboard. I tried to catch my breath because I was seeing stars from the intensity of my orgasm.

“Baby girl, I'm not done. Put them legs back up!” Davion demanded. My legs were sore from holding them in position, but I did as I was instructed. He picked me up with my legs still behind my head. My husband was strong as hell and I saluted him daily on working out like he was a personal trainer. As soon as he entered my pussy, my eyes began rolling to the back of my head. He was hitting every wall, making sure that I felt him deep inside of me. “What you got your face balled up for? You can’t take this dick, he whispered taunting me.

It felt like he was giving me a kidney shot so he slowed it down a notch and removed my legs from behind my head. Flipping me over with one of his hands he reentered me slowly.

“Damn this feel like home. I don’t ever wanna leave,” he whispered before kissing me on my neck. He slow-dicked me from the back, pulling all the way out and then slowly grazed my clit before he went back inside my wet snatch. I couldn't fight it anymore.

“Davion!” I screamed. I knew he was smiling because he loved hearing his name called. He knew how nasty and freaky I liked it, so he sucked his index finger before sliding it into the opening of my asshole. The sensation from both of my holes being filled made my hips buck involuntarily.
