But greetings must wait until later. Now she gazed into Gray’s silver eyes. His voice filled the chapel as he vowed to love, honor, and cherish her. Hers remained firm, with nary a stammer as she gave her life into the hands of a man who loved her so much he’d mastered a lifelong weakness because she needed his help.
“I love you,” he whispered as he bent to kiss her.
“Forever.” Her arms crept around his neck.
He made the witnesses wait a long time before leading his wife into the sunshine of their new life.
