For two months, they continued to meet almost every night. Max would always fix her supper, and they would adjourn to his bed chamber and take up the same positions as their first night together. Neenah was gradually coming around and sharing more about herself with each visit. Though she still harbored resentment towards Max for the way he had gone about getting her, she could not think of any other feasible way that he could have done it.
She found herself thinking of him more often during the daytime when they were apart and towards the end of the two months, he had begun to make appearances in her dreams, which never failed to be erotic and sexual, and in her fantasies. She did not know whether it was his personality, his charm, his intelligence, or his decidedly good looks that drew her to him. More likely than not, it was a combination of all of those things, and drawn to him she was. Since she had never experienced love, she was not sure if that is what she was feeling, but she thought it might very well be so.
She found it increasingly difficult to keep what was happening from Keera for she had come to think of her as her best friend. If Max did indeed completely win her over and convince her to marry him, Neenah had every intention of asking him set Keera free.
Keera had noticed that something was going on, and she had kept questioning Neenah about it. Luckily Neenah had so far been able to contain her composure and convince Keera that she was still having problems adjusting to being a slave.
Unfortunately that night had finally come that Neenah had been dreading for so long. Max said they would be making a public appearance at a party on Saturday night. “I am sorry Neenah, but it can’t be helped. This party is being thrown by my biggest client, and I must be there. At this type of party, slave owners always bring their primary slaves. It is a symbol of their status in society. Everyone knows that I bought you. If I show up without you, rumors will start to flow about my authority and that always bleeds over into the business sections. Inside of a month, I would begin to lose clients who would say they were no longer assured of my stability.
“All you will have to do is keep your head bowed and follow me around for the whole night. I will do my best to find a believable reason to cut the night short so you will not be on display any longer than is absolutely necessary. I promise you that this will be the only public appearance you will have to make.”
Neenah silently cursed his reasoning but knew that she could not be the cause of his business down fall just because of her stubborn pride.
“You will even be able to wear clothing because his parties are always held outside. The climate on his planet is quite cool, and you would get way too cold without clothing.”
That made it a little easier to bear; being clothed and led around in front of all those people would not be too bad. “Okay, I see your point, but I am holding you to your promise. It is just this one time!”
Max breathed a huge sigh of relief. He was afraid that this would be the stumbling block that would cause the fragile trust that they had begun to build between them come crashing down.
“I will send a package to your room containing the clothes you are to wear. It will not be the gorgeous ball gown that I would prefer you to wear, but I promise that it will be tasteful. Since you will be clothed, there is no need for you to wear the nipple rings that signify you are my primary, so you can give your nipples a rest for the night. Just make sure the other two girls don’t see you take them off.”

“Ah, you are getting to wear clothes to the party. It must be Tikouri’s party,” Keera said as she walked into the door of Neenah’s room and saw the opened box on her bed.
“Yep, how did you know which party I am going to?”
“Easy, I went to several parties while I was Master’s primary, and Tikouri’s was the only one we attended where I was allowed to wear clothes. He has his parties outside and if you are not wearing clothing, you will get quite cold.” Keera walked over to the bed and inspected the outfit. “I see Master sent you an outfit made out of his Therma material. Looks great and is very warm.
“Make sure that you are extra careful about being respectful and obedient tonight. Master will expect you to be on your best behavior,” Keera added.
“I know that Keera. Master has constantly reminded me of that fact since telling me about the party. Since it is my first public appearance as his primary, he wants to be especially sure that I will behave appropriately.”
“Good, I do not want you to end up like me and cause Master problems. He is likely to have enough difficulty on his hands as it is.”
“Why is that?”
“Well, at some of the parties, there are attendees who do not own slaves. So, those attending who own more than one are requested to bring additional slaves to be used for others’ enjoyment. Since the debacle of my last public appearance, Master refuses to let me attend any more public functions, so he is taking Nylia instead.”
Neenah winced, “Oh my, that can’t be good. What on earth is he thinking? Considering the way Nylia has behaved since he bought her, you would think he would not take her. Surely he must realize that you have learned your lesson and would not dare to make him look bad again?”
“I guess he is not willing to take that chance. If she acts up, people will not necessarily think as badly of him because she is a new slave that he has only had a few months, and he is her first owner. I had been a slave for a few years and was his primary when I acted the way I did. That makes it much worse for him. No one gives it another thought when secondary slaves act out, but when primaries do, it can cause great problems for the Master.”
Master’s deep voice interrupted their conversation as it boomed out over the hidden intercom, “Get a move on it Nylia and Neenah. You have exactly ten minutes to be ready and waiting when I come to the quarters to get you. Do not make me have to wait.”
“Uh oh, guess you had better get dressed. Have fun tonight and remember what I told you.”
“I know, Keera. Thanks, I will see you in the morning.”
Neenah dressed in a hurry, knowing that if she was not ready then Max would have to punish her to keep up appearances in front of Nylia and Keera. There was no way that she was going to give him a reason. With seconds to spare, she skidded to a stop in front of the slave quarter’s entrance just as the door was beginning to slide open. Unsurprisingly, Nylia was nowhere to be seen. Neenah immediately bowed her head, not taking the chance that Keera might be looking and see any special glance pass between her and Max.
She stood there, head bowed, waiting patiently as Max entered the room and cursed under his breath when he found only one slave standing in place instead of two.
“Nylia!” he roared as he strode to her bed chamber door. She came stumbling out of the room, still trying to get her outfit on the correct way.
“Damn it, Nylia. You should have already tried this on so you would have known how to put it on correctly before tonight!” Master reprimanded. “Keera, get over here and help this nit wit get her clothes on!” Master said, frustration drawing his face into a grimace.
Finally, they were ready to leave, and Master led the way to the launch pad so that they could be on their way.
“Once we arrive, you are allowed to look around until we enter the garden area where the party is being held. At that point, you need to keep your eyes downcast,” Max instructed.
Neenah’s eyes widen in awe as they stepped out of the launch. Rich green trees and shrubbery with bright colorful flowers surrounded them. Hanging in the sky were iridescent hover globes that sparkled and shimmered in the glare of the suns. Stone sculptures in various sizes were scattered about haphazardly. There were no marked pathways, so you had to make up your own route to get where you wanted to go. Master led them towards the center of the outside area and Neenah could hear the murmur of voices grow louder as they neared. Before they reached the garden central, Neenah began to hear the roar of water and looked around to find the source.
Above the tops of the small trees that were dispersed about the garden, Neenah could see plumes of water shooting into the air. As they got closer to the garden central, Neenah began to make out the outline of a magnificent fountain located directly in the middle of the main party area. She hung back a little bit so that she could get a good view of the fountain before they reached the garden proper and she would have to lower her eyes.
The fountain was absolutely breath taking. The outer pool was rimmed entirely in iridescent stone and a diameter of at least twenty five feet. The inner pool in which the fountain was perched was also made of iridescent stone that was built up about four feet from the bottom of the outer pool and was about ten feet in diameter. Ringing the outer wall of the inner pool were gorgeous flowers, many of them hybrids that had been cross pollinated to create flowers that would bloom in cooler climates and seasons.
Standing in the middle of the inner pool was the glorious fountain, a regal mermaid whose upper body was cast in gold and her tail in green shimmering jewels. Her full length, from golden hair to glittering tail balanced on the surface, as if just shooting out into the crisp air after ascending from the depths. Her head was thrown back and her arms out from her sides, palms up, as if she was in the throes of ecstasy. Streaming water shot up from her mouth and the golden palms of her hands. Water also shot into the air behind her, shooting into the air from her curled fin.
Neenah had become so mesmerized by the magnificent fountain that she did not realize that she had come to a complete stand still until she was jerked forward by the leash that was attached to her jewel studded collar. It was a good thing that the leash was a long one or she would not have been able to take in the beauty of the fountain. Neenah realized that she was being pulled into the main area of the party, so she quickly dropped her eyes as she hurried to catch up with Max and Nylia so she would not make Max look badly by lagging behind.
Just as she caught up with them, Max stopped suddenly. “Try to keep up a little better Neenah. Nylia let us go see if we can find you a client for the night.”
Neenah followed as Max led them over to an area where the clients who did not have slaves were gathered. As they weaved their way through the crowd, Neenah could hear murmured whispers and tittered laughter and she knew that it was all directed at her, at how far the former Queen of Anthar had fallen.
Max scanned the gathered group of slaveless clients looking for someone he knew he could trust to hand his slave over to for the night. Standing towards the back of the group was a humanoid male that Max had done business with on more than one occasion. He knew that he could trust this man to treat Nylia appropriately, so he approached him and bartered with him for the use of Nylia for the night. Having successfully reached a deal for Nylia’s services, Max handed over her leash to the humanoid and walked away with a parting reminder for Nylia, “You know what is expected of you and you know what will happen if you do not act as you should.”
Neenah followed Max through the garden, walking a few steps behind him with her eyes downcast. Occasionally, he would stop and talk to various business associates and Neenah would try to stand still and wait patiently for him to move on to the next person. As they walked, Neenah realized that the planet’s two suns were beginning to set, and as the sky became darker, the hover globes began to glow. Just as the last rays of the suns disappeared below the horizon, a collective gasp rose from the crowd as the water in the fountain was lit up in bright lights.
Night had fallen, but the party area of the garden was awash in luminosity from the now fiercely glowing hover balls and the spectacular lighted fountain. During the mingling portion of the party, the caterers had been busily setting the food on the bountiful buffet tables, and slaves now began to move along the tables in procession, procuring food for their Masters.
“Neenah, go and fix me a plate. After you have brought it to me, you may fix a plate for yourself and go eat in the slaves’ designated area.” Max unclasped the tether from Neenah’s collar so that she could do as he requested.
Having gotten Max’s food and now her own, Neenah found a quiet spot in the corner of the slave area to settle down and eat her food. Since she was away from the central area of the party, she felt it was safe to look around and study the party goers. There was a varied assortment of alien races attending. She recognized several different races from the videos that she had watched during training.
Suddenly screams rang out among the party goers as black clad troops carrying laser rifles converged on the party. People were forced to the ground as the troops spread out amongst the party goers, ripping jewels and purses from bodies as they pushed them to the grass.
“Round up the slaves and herd them to the cargo ship!” shouted a gruff voice. Midnight figures surrounded the slave area, pulling slaves to their feet and pushing them towards the launch area. Muffled shouts rang out from different owners as they watched their slaves being led toward an unknown fate.
Neenah searched for Nylia as they were ushered into a large holding pen within the cargo ship. Her eyes roamed over the group, but she did not see Nylia
anywhere. The ship lurched and rose into the air and the slaves began to scream as a white gas cloud streamed from vents at the top of the room.
