              Audrey’s black mood lifted immediately.  She felt like celebrating.  “They caught him.  They caught him,” she sang.  “He cannot wriggle out of this one. This time he will go to jail.  Shithead! Rapist! Druggy!  Mister you deserve everything that’s coming to you.”

              Her phone started ringing.   “The Three Suites. Audrey speaking.”

              It was Pearl in tears “Oh Audrey. Did you hear? It was my son who did it’                

“No” said Audrey. “I just watched the news it was a Black Power gang member.”

              “He is my son,” said Pearl. “No one really knew because we haven’t been close for many years.  This is awful. I knew he was into drugs - but murder? I didn’t think he was capable of killing anyone. I wonder if Dolly and Bruce were involved too?” she sobbed.   “I saw their letterbox at Hemi’s house and they are big time druggies.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they dumped the vehicles. I have to go to the police station.  Constable Driver wants to talk to me.” Pearl confided tearfully. “They wont let me talk to Hemi. They said he is in custody and can have no visitors while they are interrogating him. Oh, Audrey can you come with me?” She pleaded.  “I don’t want to go alone.” 

              She lied.  “I am so sorry Pearl, but I have guests checking in any moment now and I can’t leave the chalets.    What about Marge at the pub? I am sure she will go with you.”               

“Ok” said Pearl  “I’ll call her. This is terrible.”  The phone clicked. 

              The town would be buzzing with the news.  Hemi Heke, the Black Power gang member arrested for murder.   Audrey made herself another cup of tea and put a movie into the DVD.   The afternoon was going to be wonderful.   Shame she threw the leg of lamb in the rubbish tin.  A nice lamb sandwich would go down well right now.
