Eyes
at half-mast, his gaze bored into hers, as sweat covered his face. The veins in
his neck stood out with the effort it must require of him to hold still, to
wait for her to adjust and set the pace.

“How
you’re doing there, girl?” He ground the words out through gritted teeth. In
answer, Alex tightened her vaginal muscles around him. Nathanial swore. He dug his
fingers into her hips with enough force to leave bruises, as he nuzzled into
her neck.

“Fuck,
you keep doing that and this will all be over in seconds. I need to fucking
move. I…fuck.”

Digging
her own finger nails into Nathanial’s shoulders, she rose up slightly before
she dropped back down. Darts of need shot across her skin from the sensations
his cock created as it rubbed along every one of her sensitive nerve endings.
Alex panted her arousal.

“Like
this, Sir?”

The
swat to her ass pushed her down again. When he bit her shoulder, Alexandra
almost tumbled over that edge.

“Get
moving, girl. This time I want you to come. In fact I want to hear you scream
my name until you’re hoarse.”

He
reached down between them as he spoke. When he flicked her clit, Alexandra did
scream, as her muscles contracted and her orgasm burst from deep within her
core. She slumped over him, as her bones liquefied. Stars exploded behind her
closed eyelids.

With
a muffled curse, Nat took over. He slammed her up and down on his dick. Every
stroke prolonged the tremors that shook her body, as she splintered time and
time again.

“That’s
it, baby, again.”

She
whimpered when he pulled her up and flung her face first on the bed. Before she
could draw breath, he was back teasing her with his cock, keeping her orgasm
going by finger fucking her. The squelchy sounds of her wet pussy gripping his
fingers should have been embarrassing, but all thought fled her brain when he
pulled out and pushed those slick digits through her anus, while he thrust back
into her pussy with his other hand. The dual sensation proved too much as her
orgasm flared anew. Alexandra screamed her release. This time when he pulled
out and she felt the blunt pressure against the tight ring of muscles guarding
her ass, she could only whimper her agreement. Nathanial thrust into her,
slowly at first, and then with jerky uncoordinated moves.

Pinned
as she was under his bodyweight, with his harsh breaths in her ear, she could
do nothing but absorb the sensations, as her body soared and flew. With one
last powerful thrust into her, Nathanial too found his release. Alex smiled as
he stiffened and grunted, then bit her again. It wrenched another, albeit
smaller set of tremors from her. The world went dark as he collapsed on top of
her.

When
Alexandra became aware of her surroundings again, it was to find Nathanial
slowly withdraw from her. She winced as he pulled out.

“Fuck,
that was intense. Sorry, baby, let me take care of you. Hang on in there.”

The
bed dipped. Alex caught sight of his naked ass walking away, as he pulled the
used condom off his shaft, and headed for the bathroom. A giggle escaped her at
the stiff legged way he walked, while she admired his ability to walk at all.
After the number and intensity of the orgasms he’d given her, she could barely
lift a finger, let alone turn on her back.

In
fact she must have dozed off where she lay, because she woke up with a start
when a warm cloth made contact with her swollen pussy.

“Sorry,
baby, just cleaning you up a bit. Then you can go to sleep. You did so very
well. I’m very proud of my good pet.”

The
praise made her smile. She moaned and winced herself through his gentle
cleaning of her.

By the time he tucked
her back under the covers, she was so very sleepy, she barely felt the kiss.

“I
love you, Alex, now sleep.”

Chapter Eight

Nathanial
woke up with a start at the crack of dawn, not sure what had woken him, other
than the restless dreams he’d had. Once, where Alexandra had laughed at him
when he’d declared his feelings for her. He ran an unsteady hand through his
hair and recalled the moment he’d told her he loved her. He’d frozen as those
words left his mouth, even as he’d breathed a sigh of relief when he’d noticed
her even breathing. What on earth had possessed him to blurt those words out
loud he would never know. With a bit of luck, she had been already asleep. She
might not have heard that. The curious smile playing around her lips in her
sleep had given him pause for thought though.

Maybe
she had heard him. Would that be such a bad thing? He turned over to watch her
sleeping peacefully snuggled on her side. Reaching across, he traced the marks
of his possession on her fair skin. Bruises were already starting to form, and
he frowned. She had been with him in the moment, but how would she feel when
she woke up and saw those in the mirror.

He
had been far harder on her than he had intended to, but she had been so
beautifully responsive to him that his good intentions had gone out of the
window.

After
all, he only had tonight to convince her to stay with him. Far from getting her
out of his system, what they had shared tonight just meant that she had further
inveigled herself into his psyche. This was the woman he loved, had always
loved, and always would love. It was a sobering thought how much power that
gave her over him. It also meant that he would let her go come morning, if
that’s what she wanted.

He
couldn’t keep her against her will, agency agreements be fucked. Besides she
wasn’t even part of the agency. He briefly wondered how different his evening
would have gone had her friend met up with him rather than her.

Fate
had given him another chance at being with her. God willing he hadn’t fucked
this all up, this could be a new start for them. He was painfully aware that he
knew nothing about this grown-up Alex, bar the little she’d told him, and the
limited information he had gleamed over the years from his old man.

Dad
had always had a soft spot for Alex and her mother. With that thought in mind,
the beginnings of a plan formed in his mind. He grinned to himself as he
covered his precious girl back up. He picked up his mobile to phone back his
lawyer. It might be barely five in the morning, but the old coot would be awake
and working on damage control.

Sure
enough when he shut the bathroom door for privacy and hit the speed dial,
Johnson answered on the first ring.

“Yes,
what now?”

“No
need to be so grumpy, Johnson. You get paid a lot of money to fix these things.
How’s it going?”

A
grunt was his answer, and Nathanial laughed.

“Dare
I hope from the fact that you found this so amusing that you’re not ringing me
to add to my work load. Please tell me the
lady
you’re with isn’t going
to run to the papers too, because—”

“Watch
your tone of voice, Johnson. Alex is the woman I intend to marry, God willing,
so…” A muffled sound made him spin around. He yanked open the bathroom door in
time with the groan in his ear from the family lawyer.

“Not
another wife. Might I remind you the last one didn’t work out so well…

He
didn’t catch the rest of the man’s reply, as his attention was taken up by the
expression on Alexandra’s face. Hair hanging around her flushed face in
delightful disarray, she wore nothing bar his abandoned shirt. It hung to
mid-thigh, and gave him tantalizing glimpses of her bare skin. Her fantastic
tits quivered under the force of the breaths she pulled in out of her lungs, as
she worried her bottom lip with her teeth. Nat grew hard at the sight. He
highly doubted she would be up for a repeat performance, but his cock didn’t
care about that. This close to her, with her scent invading his nostrils, he
wanted her again, any which way he could have her.

It
was the desperate hope that shone out of her expressive eyes, though, that got
to him the most, as she blushed a delightful shade of pink. Alex didn’t seem
able to tear his gaze away from his cock.

“Are
you even listening to me, Nat? The woman is a wannabe actress. She will want
the attention to further her career. I really don’t understand what you were
thinking. She’s also not on the books of the agency.

I might add the lady in charge was not best
pleased to be roused from her slumber by me.”

“You
did what?” Alex jumped as he shouted down the phone, the man’s words finally
registering.

“There
is no need to shout at me. I’m merely doing what you’re paying me for, looking
after your interests.”

“My
interests are not served by involving the agency.” Nathanial pinched the bridge
of his nose. He offered a worried looking Alex what he hoped was a reassuring
smile. “This has nothing to do with the agency. Alex is not part of it. You’ll
get back on the phone to them the minute I end this call and assure them that I
have no reason for complaint. They have served me well. While I will not be
needing their services in the future, Marissa, the girl I booked tonight,
should get a raise.”

He
smiled at Alexandra’s sharp intake of breath that matched Johnson’s as he
continued.

“Now,
like I said, there has been a misunderstanding. I would very much appreciate if
you could get a press release out stating that my attendance at the charity
ball was with my
fiancé
.” He glanced at Alexandra to gauge her reaction,
as he said that.

While her eyes grew
wide as saucers, she didn’t look as though she was going to hit him, which had
to be a good sign under the circumstances. Nat turned his attention back to the
phone call.

“Like
I said our attendance was sadly disrupted by a family dispute. I take it the
scum bag is not pressing charges?”

“Of
course not. I’m his lawyer too. I was quick to point out that it wouldn’t be in
anyone’s interests, especially as your firm has just bought out his. If you
were to sell our shares, he would be forced into bankruptcy. Amazing how fast
his demeanor changed. No, your cousin will go along with whatever you put out
there. I can’t say the same for your ex-wife but I’m sure that will blow over
once she’s had her five minutes of fame. However, if Miss Farrington joins
forces with her then—”

Nathanial’s
furious growl into the phone stopped the old man in his tracks.

“There
is no chance in fucking hell that’s going to happen.” Holding the phone away
from his ear, he hit the loudspeaker button. “Tell him that you have no
intention of running to the papers, baby.”

Alex
blinked. She frowned when Johnson’s tinny voice could be heard.

“I
fear your trust may well be misplaced, Nat. After all, that is the same girl
who left under a cloud having been accused of helping herself to your mother’s
jewelry, and—”

“How
dare you?” Alexandra interrupted the lawyer this time, and her voice carried.
It filled Nat with immense pride to see her standing up for herself like this
even if her next words floored him.

“That
wasn’t me. I would never steal anything from Nat’s mother. The maid who was
eventually blamed for it all didn’t do it either. It was Godfrey. I caught him
putting it back, after he’d borrowed them to settle some sort of debt, or
something. I’m not really aware of the particulars. Anyway, being the slimeball
he was he turned the tables on me. Said no one would ever believe my version.
He threatened to tell everyone it was me unless…” Her words faltered.

An
ice cold fist wrapped itself around Nathanial’s heart and squeezed hard. He
took a step toward her, but she shook her head at him. Alex looked so miserable
that he stayed where he was.

“Unless
what, Miss, please do continue as it sounds as though this is information
regarding Godfrey’s character that I need to be aware of as the family lawyer.”

Nat
rolled his eyes at the official tone Johnson used, but the impersonality of it
seemed to help Alex, because she took another deep breath and continued. He put
the phone on the counter and wrapped a towel around his midriff. It didn’t seem
right to have this conversation naked, somehow.

A
wan smile kicked up Alexandra’s lips at his actions, as she continued.

“He
blackmailed me into sleeping with him, okay.”

“Fuck,
I’ll kill him.” Nathanial’s curse bounced around the bathroom. Alex jumped.
Johnson, however, laughed.

“You
will do no such thing, Nat. I really couldn’t get you out of that one. Besides,
with your cousin’s gambling addiction and his predilection of choosing unsavory
company, someone will no doubt kill him sooner rather than later, so there is
no need to get our hands dirty.”

Nat
shook his head at the lawyer’s dry sense of humor.

“Please
continue, Miss. I take it he was successful with his blackmail attempts?”

Johnson’s
simple question hung in the air between them. Nathanial’s muscles ached with
the need to take his girl in his arms, to comfort her, but every cell in her
body literally screamed
don’t touch me
, so he kept his distance.

Eventually,
she replied with just one word.

“Yes.”

Nathanial
bit back another curse while Johnson sighed.

“Thank
you for your honesty, Miss. Now, please forgive me for asking this, but do you
have the intention of taking any of what conspired then or indeed last night to
the papers.”

“Of
course not. I would never do that, I’m not… Well, I mean.”

Nathanial
had heard enough. Snatching the phone back up off its resting place on the
counter, he turned off the loud speaker function and raised it to his ear.

“Enough,
Johnson, deal with this. Make it go away, will you.” He ended the call before
the other man could respond and turned the phone off for good measure. Not
knowing what else to do, he held out his arms to Alex and waited.

Her
heart pounded so hard against her breastbone, Alex felt faint. Talk about one
shock after another. When she had woken up thanks to an urgent need to use the
loo, she had frowned at the empty bed. She could hear Nat talking to someone in
the bathroom. Making her way slowly off the bed, she’d winced as her sore
muscles had protested any movement. Alex had to grin when she caught sight of
herself in her mirror though. Her ass was still red and bruises were forming.
Her nipples looked swollen. Faint fingerprints showed on her breasts.
Nathanial’s bite marks were also clearly visible. Seeing the evidence of his
possession on her body filled her with a warm glow inside. It might be
completely misplaced, but she couldn’t help that bubble of happiness that
threatened to spill up and consume her.

Surely,
he wouldn’t have done all this if he didn’t care? A man in his position had to
be careful. Leaving any mark on the wrong person would have him up on an assault
charge faster than you could say flogging. As far she knew no such rumors had
ever attached to his name.

Hells
bells, he’d managed to keep that marriage under wraps. That thought had shaken
her out of her happy place. Seeing his abandoned shirt, she’d shrugged it on to
cover herself. She hadn’t liked the doubts creeping in, especially when she’d
made out who Nathanial was talking to in the bathroom. He was clearly on the
phone to his lawyer, the very man, who would no doubt ensure no such rumors
would ever attach themselves to the family name.

Hand
raised to knock on the door to announce her presence, she’d stumbled when she
heard Nathanial refer to her as his fiancé. The resulting conversation had made
her head spin. While a huge weight had lifted off her shoulders, now that
everything was out in the open, it also left her feeling vulnerable, exposed.

A
heavy silence descended between them after Nathanial ended that call. When he
held his arms out to her, she froze. Part of her wanted to throw herself at him,
but the other, the desperately-in-love-with-this-man part, held back. If she
allowed herself to think he’d actually meant what he’d said about marrying her…
No, this was a ploy to appease his father, to smooth over the fallout in the
press, that
was all.

“I
can almost see the wheels turning in your head, baby. Please, put me out of my
misery. Let me hold you.”

His
face fell, when she shook her head. Her heart squeezed painfully in her chest.

“What
you said to him about marrying me… That’s just—”

“Not
the most eloquent marriage proposal, I know, but I mean it, baby.” He took a
step toward her, and another, but it was the hesitant way in which he reached
out to her that spoke of his feelings more than anything.

Gone
was the confident, arrogant playboy, the Dom who could make her sink to her
knees with just one raised eyebrow. In its stead was a man who looked as unsure
as she felt.

“You
can’t mean it. You don’t know me. You haven’t seen me in ten years. What we
shared back then, well that’s not a basis for marriage. What we did tonight
isn’t either. It was awesome, but… This is insane. I won’t run to the papers,
so there’s no need to—”

“Fuck
it. Why do you have such a low opinion of me? If I could change the fucking
past I would, but I can’t. Alex, you know me. You’re probably the only one
apart from my mum and dad who ever got to see the real me. We grew up together,
for fuck’s sake. How is that not a solid basis for us now? I know we need to
build on that but…”

When
she just stared up at him with wide eyes, shaking her head, he groaned. Nat
slammed his fist into the tiled wall. The resulting crack made her jump, and
Nathanial swore under his breath.
