ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Kathryn Le Veque is the author of 39 novels
published on Amazon.
Out of the 39, 31
of them are Medieval Romance.
Mathias’ story was truly one of redemption
for a man who had been stripped of everything. Even though he had been reduced
to living as a peasant, he still retained that innate sense of the knighthood,
of battle and passion, so even though he lost his titles, he never lost his
sense of self.
The Battle of Dupplin
Moor really was a massive battle and the details contained within the novel are
historically accurate. Want to read more? It’s a very exciting bit of history –
the best explanation is here:

As for Cathlina, she was a sweet and
level-headed girl most of the time, but she had tendency to let her imagination
run wild.
Still, she was a good match
for Mathias because she believed in him.
More than that, she loved him regardless of if he was a smithy or a
knight. That’s unconditional love.
And
in speaking of unconditional love… don’t forget Midgy!
Want to read a great story about an otter in
Ireland, the inspiration for our Midgy? Read RING OF BRIGHT WATER by Gavin
Maxwell.
Lastly, this novel is related to the
DRAGONBLADE TRILOGY, although it is not ‘officially’ a part of it.
Chronologically, it actually takes places
between the novels DRAGONBLADE and ISLAND OF GLASS.
This novel is pre-Aubrielle (Kenneth St.
Hèver) and Joselyn (Stephen of Pembury).
If you have not yet read that series, then it’s
a must-read.
Will Sebastian and Roxane
get their own story? Probably not. It would be a train-wreck; passionate, I am
sure, but full of selfish and silly people.
