Cray Bailor

My Brother’s Keeper

I
t was nighttime when Cray sat at a community pool with Jason tied to a chair. Devon, Jinx and Vic stood by his side. This meeting was so secret they didn’t even alert Nyzon and the DC crew.

“Cray, please! You have to listen to me! It wasn’t like that!”

“It wasn’t like what, nigga?”

“It wasn’t me who told somebody where we were. You know I’d never do that.”

His face was wet from crying and that alone enraged Cray. Nobody would vouch to keep his punk ass alive after such an awful display of man-hood.

“It’s nothin’ else to talk about, man. You fucked up. Had it not been for my own quick thinkin’ one of us coulda been killed at the mall. You runnin’ around town tellin’ niggas how we get our money, and where we be it and you askin’ me to spare your life? Why shouldn’t I kill yo ass, J?”

What the members didn’t know was that Cray wanted him to say something, just one thing to convince him to spare his life. He was the one dude Cray knew would bend over backwards for him, but he had female tendencies, and Cray hated that about him. He let the money rule his thought process and that was a bad trait to have in the drug game.

“’Cause you know me.”

“You ain’t said nothin’ yet, nigga.”

The men cocked their weapons.

“Okay…Okay. Uh…I know somethin’ that you want to know.”

“Start talkin’.” Cray responded.

“I know somethin’ bout Nyzon and Tiara.” He cried. “They ain’t all the way real wit you man.”

“Fuck this nigga talkin’ bout? Put it too his ass Cray.” Jinx interrupted.

“Man I’m givin’ you a chance to tell me why I should spare your life and you rappin’ to me about Ny and Tiara? You betta come wit somethin’ else man.”

“It’s true. I saw them.”

“Cray, don’t listen to this shit. Scared niggas have no heart,” Jinx replied.

Cray looked at his cousin Devon and he shrugged his shoulders. Because even if it were true, would it be enough to save his life? It could be a reason to kill him considering he waited until his death bed to let him know. Cray decided then that he didn’t believe him.

“You got one more chance to convince me.”

Jason was silent before saying, “You should let me live because I love you. And we been boys since we were kids. Don’t nobody got secrets like us, man. Don’t do this. I made a mistake but it won’t happen again. Please.”

His response did tug at Cray’s sensitive side a little, but it was also
too
soft to be taken seriously especially in front of the men.

“Not good enough.” He told him coldly. “Break his arms and legs and throw him in the pool.”

“You gonna drown me?! Just shoot me, Cray. I’m scared of the water! Please. You know that.”

His pleas were hard for Cray to hear.

“Break his legs and throw him inside!”

“Cray, please! Let me have a better death than this. Give me a soldier’s death, man!”

Devon smiled when the orders were given. It did his heart good to know his cousin was a beast in these streets.

Not wasting time, Jinx grabbed Jason’s right arm while Vic stood over him with the gun to his dome. Devon stood over top of him and cracked his left arm by stomping on it with his boot.

Crack.

“Awwwww shit!” Jason screamed.

Left arm.
Crack.
When Devon was done he cracked both of his legs and Jason continued to scream in pain.

Once all his limbs were broken, they put him on the poolside. Cray walked over to him and stared down at him. It hurt him to do this, but he had to. Jason needed to be the example of what would happen, if he was crossed.

“Since you wanna be a jelly fish, wit no back bone, swim like one.” Cray said. “Throw his ass in.”

With that they threw him in, and watched him fight for his life until he drowned.

Master Plan

B
lunt had a mission and it was simple. He had to send a strong message to Charm courtesy of the Kings. Despite their threats, Charm was still running around town telling people he couldn’t be touched. So he had to show him that he could.

Placing a ski mask over his face, he walked to a cute little brick house in a residential community in Baltimore county. With his identity concealed, he walked to the back of a house, and knelt down next to a window leading to the basement. The lights were out. It was just what he wanted. When he was sure no one was watching, he removed the screen from the window, took a stone off their lawn and smashed the glass. He waited several minutes to be sure no one was coming or that an alarm didn’t sound.

With the coast clear, he pushed his slender frame through the window until he landed on a couch. Then he paused…looked around, and stepped off the couch. Slowly he crept up the steps leading from the basement. When the basement door opened, he moved into the living room cautiously. He hoped Charm’s wife was there so he could kidnap her as planned. Walking further inside, he still hadn’t spotted her. The lights were dim and the television was on but still know signs of her.

But when he bent another hallway, and looked to the left, she was right before him. To be thick she looked sexy in her yellow fitted pajama pants and tight yellow t-shirt. If she acted right, maybe he’d fuck her before they left.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!” she screamed running the opposite way.

“I see I’m in for a long night,” he said out loud.

He could tell the moment he looked into her eyes that she would be up for a fight.

He ran up behind her, caught her and knocked her to the wooden floor pressing his body against hers. She was strong and ready to fight.

“I’ma bout to kick ya ass! You came in the wrong bitch’s house!” she told him.

“You betta calm down for I murder your fuckin’ ass!”

She ignored him and moved vigorously until she was finally able to turn around and look him in the eyes. Face up, she managed to free a hand and she used it to steal the fuck out of his face.

He hit her back like she was a man.
“Is that all you got nigga?” she asked laughing, licking the blood from the corner of her mouth.
She hit him again, this time cracking the cartilage in his nose.
“Ahhhhhhh!!!” he was pissed.

“I’m done playin’ wit your ass.”

He cocked his arm back and hit her so hard, the bottom tooth flew out his mouth.

“I see you aint’ talkin’ shit now.”

Instead of crying, she laughed harder.

“You must be tryin’ to make me mad.” She continued as she tussled with him.

He tried to reach for his gun in his belt and when he did, she smacked him in his right eye, got away and ran toward a closed door. He knew she was going for a weapon and figured if he didn’t catch her, he’d find out what kind it was. There was no way in he could kidnap her now, he had to kill her.

Luckily he caught her right before she turned the knob. Grabbing her by the throat he squeezed tightly from behind her. Her arms swung widely as she tried her hardest to breathe. When she was weak enough, he watched her eyes close and only then did he release her. She fell to the floor. The kidnap plan didn’t go well. And without a stronger message, Charm would remain on their blocks.

He was on his way out the door to consult with Cray when he heard, “Whannnn….Whannnnnn….Whannnn.”

She was going for her baby. He realized then that the baby would be easier to transport and less confrontational. He stepped over her crazy ass, and opened the bedroom door. In the middle of the room he saw a white crib with gold hearts embedded around it. It was a girl. Removing her from the crib, he turned around and was preparing to leave when
she
was standing before him.

I knew I shoulda shot this bitch when I had the chance too!
He thought.

Whop!

Charm’s wife stole Blunt in his face with the baby in his arms.

He knew right then that there was no way he was getting through that front door with her alive. He could see immediately why Charm made her his wife. She was gangster in every sense of the word.

With the baby in his arms and his gun in the other, he fired. She dropped the moment the bullet pierced her throat.

“I bet you won’t get up now.” He said picking his self up.

Placing the baby back in the crib, he wrote a message on a nearby Post-It pad and pinned it to the baby’s jumper.

It read,
‘Stay off our blocks, or your kid could be next. P.S., you’ve been touched.’

Amigos

“I
’m tellin’ you, yo, them niggas was shook!” Cray said as he sat by the poolside, on a lounge chair with Tiara on his lap.

With fake passports in their possession, they bought out suites for all of the lieutenants, and fifty of their best block captains from DC & Baltimore at the Fiesta American Grand Coral Beach. Champagne bottles dressed the outside of the pool and they filled up all of the seats at the wet bar. T.I’s “What You Know”, boomed from the stereo system. And the warm weather was comforting under the night sky.

“Blunt put the murder game down!” Cray continued. “Niggas in B-more shook and Charm moved out of town! Can’t find his ass no where. They know we ain’t fuckin’ around. We run this mothafuckin’ game. Ain’t that right, Ny!”

“Yeah. That’s right.” He responded. Nyzon was out of it. Tiara had his head fucked up.

“That nigga’s bitch was crazy!” Blunt said as he downed ACE champagne right from the bottle. “I had to give it to her though. She was more thorough than a lotta niggas I know. I had to kill her fuckin’ ass!”

“If she was as thorough as you said she was, I coulda gave her ass some work.” Cray laughed palming Tiara’s breasts. There were over sixty people out there and he was treating her like a freak.

“I bet they got the message though.” Royala added lying on the pool bed with her girl Simple. “No doubt they’ll step the fuck off now.”

“That was a good look by grabbin’ yo’s kid.” Cray continued. “That shit was genius!”

As everybody talked about business openly, since they were the only ones in the private pool, Nyzon eyed Tiara. His stomach churned watching another man’s hands all over her.

I’m sorry.
She said with her eyes.

“Hey Ny! Come get in the water man.” Royala said seeing his look. “Nyzon hadn’t told her about them yet, but if anybody could read him, she could.

She knew about their secret romance at Devon’s party. She felt their passion when they were together and hoped that it was all in her mind. It wasn’t.

“Naw…I’m good.” Ny said looking at Tiara. He felt like cracking Cray in his head with a bottle full of champagne.

“You a’ight, man?” Cray asked catching the uncomfortable glance.

Everybody looked in Nyzon’s direction. Cooks, Simon and Blunt turned around from where they sat at the bar.

“Yeah…I got to get somethin’ real quick though. I’ma be back.” He said as Tiara watched him with puppy dog eyes.

She didn’t want to be sitting on Cray’s lap anymore than Nyzon wanted her to. But Nyzon was making it known to her that he couldn’t do the secret lover thing much longer. Something had to give. He had to give her up. She wasn’t his girl and he’d have to deal with the fact.

The Kings resumed their conversation as Nyzon walked toward the beach. The night sky on the blue water appeared to go on forever as he stared at it. How did he get himself into this situation? Once a hater of love, now he wanted nothing more than to be with her all the time. He would’ve given everything up for Tiara and that scared him.
