Sánchez's first novel,
El Anticuario

), has been translated into thirteen languages thus far. His two subsequent books,
La voz de los muertos
(The voice of the dead) and
El rostro de la maldad
(The face of evil), have also begun their international trajectories. His fourth novel, the long-awaited sequel to
The Antiquarian
, will be published in April 2013.

Sánchez is married and has two children. He and his family reside in the wonderful city of San Sebastián, Spain.
