“Why?” Max asked. I shrugged.

“My selfless reason is because you two were in a relationship before me. It would be wrong for me to break a bond that’s already there.”

“And your selfish reason?” Wes asked.

“I enjoy watching you both fuck…especially if I feel like I’m catching you both in the act.”

“Tell me I’m dreaming,” Wes said to Max, his cock already getting hard.

“Concentrate. Not now,” Max said through clenched jaws.

“That night when I saw you with a ball in your mouth, Wes was gripping your waist with one hand while stroking your cock with the other. He fucked you so hard up the ass your body jerked forward. I stopped breathing, Max. My nipples were so hard, it was painful. My pussy was aching…” I whispered, moving closer and closer to his lips before turning away to face Wes, whose eyes were clouded with lust. “Why would I ever want to stop that? I want more. I want to see, feel more. Tell me I can, Wes…please.”

“Temptress,” was all he could whisper.

Smiling, I pulled back in my chair and grabbed my juice. “Call me the lion tamer.”

“And you wanted to start gently with her,” Max finally said as his hands reached into my shirt and grasped my breasts.

“Jane.” Wes pressed his thumb to my lips. “Don’t push us like this because we will fail and you need to rest.”

“I’ve been resting for a year.” Opening my mouth, I took his thumb into my mouth and sucked. “Screw resting and fuck me.”

Whatever will had been holding them back snapped in that moment. Like flipping a switch, Max grabbed on to me, spinning me around as my back pressed up against his chest. His cock was up against my ass with only the cloth of his boxers between us. He lifted up my leg as Wes reached down to free his dick for me and rub the tip to my pussy. I wrapped my arm around Max’s neck.

“Well don’t keep her waiting,” Max said.

“Ahh…fuck!” I hissed out when Wes thrust forward.

“As you wish.” He replied by pulling out only to ram himself back in. Sandwiched between them, I closed my eyes and licked my lips as Max kissed my neck.

I wasn’t a good girl.

I wasn’t a bad girl.

I was their girl.

“Jesus Christ,” I gasped, lying on the kitchen floor. My chest felt as if it was going to explode.

“Blimey,” Wes cried out, breathing in through his nose, his chest rising and falling with each breath.

“You boys all right?”

Lifting up my chin, I saw her nonchalantly drinking her glass of orange juice. Her naked body was coated in thin layer of sweat. Exhausted, I dropped my head back and stared up at my kitchen ceiling.

“She’s…she’s not human,” I told Wes; he tried to laugh but ended up coughing while still trying to catch his breath.

“I must have saved Britain in my past life to deserve this,” he joked, petting my chest before finally sitting up onto his elbows to look at Jane. “I thought you said you were rusty?”

“It’s like riding a bike. Who knew?” she said happily.

Finally, I found the strength to sit up. Jane walked over to us and placed her hands on top of our heads while running her fingers through our hair. I kissed her thigh, and Wes kissed her leg. She was a fucking lion tamer; there was no denying it. In only a day and a half, she had us on our knees with invisible chains around our necks.

“Someone’s phone is ringing,” she said. I’d been so taken with the sound of my heart drumming in my ears, I hadn’t heard it. Pushing myself off the ground, I leaned over the table; our breakfast was forgotten.

“Maxwell Emerson,” I answered, not even checking to see who it was. I was too preoccupied with the scene in front of me. Wes was now on his feet and both of them were naked at the refrigerator door. She pulled out strawberries and he got whipped cream. He sprayed some in his mouth, and she licked the excess off the corner of his lip, causing him to slap her ass so hard she jumped before giggling.

They are trying to kill me.

“Hello, Mr. Emerson.”

“Who is this?” I blinked, trying to refocus.

“Kevin the security guard.”

“What is it, Kevin the security guard?”

“I have a Ms. Scarlet de Burgh here for you. She says it’s urgent and has been trying to contact you for an hour.”

Pulling the phone away from my ear, I checked and sure enough, I had fifteen missed calls and more than forty texts.

“Hold on,” I said, looking across at Jane feeding Wes a strawberry. He bit it in half before looking at me.

“What’s wrong?” He frowned.

“My producer is here, and she knows better than to bother me. It must be important,” I said and he nodded.

“Do we need to hide?” Jane asked.

“I’m going to take a shower and get ready for work,” Wes said. “You should use this as a chance to make her realize there is no chance in hell.”

Before I could reply, he kissed me hard and quick then backed away.

“Jane, stay with him,” he replied, and just like that he went upstairs.

“I’m a little lost.” Jane came toward me. “What is up with your producer?”

“He thinks she’s in love with me.”

She was quiet for a second as she leaned on the island. “And is she?”

“She’s the woman tmy mother would prefer I marry. At work, there are two rumors: either I’m gay or I’m screwing Scarlet de Burgh.”

“De Burgh?” she made a face. “She sounds rich and pretty. Blonde?”

“Brunette.”

“Oh. You do have a thing for brunettes.” She smiled, brushing back a few strands of my hair. “What do you want me to do, Mr. Emerson?”

It was a million-dollar question.

Good thing I could afford to ask.

“Hi.” I smiled when I opened the door, again dressed in only Max’s shirt. It was just like I thought: the woman in front of me was drop dead gorgeous. Prefect C cup boobs, full round hips, and I was sure she had a killer ass too. Her blue eyes widened as she looked me up and down.

“I’m sorry, I’m looking for—”

“Max, yeah? Please come in. He’s getting dressed,” I said, opening the door for her to come in. When she did, her heels clicked against the wood paneling. She took three steps before turning to me.

“Who are you?”

“Jane Chapman, Max’s girlfriend. You are his producer, right?” I extended my hand to shake hers.

“I didn’t know Max had a girlfriend.” She didn’t shake my hand and I instantly remembered Max’s mother…no wonder he didn’t see Scarlet like that. I could already pick up on the similarities.

“Now you do.” I shrugged, putting my hand down. “Do you want anything to drink? Coffee? Water?”

“I’m fine. How long have you two been together?” she asked, walking over to put her purse on the couch.

“Long enough, but I’m not sure why you are asking. Do producers generally ask this type of things?”

“No. However, Max and I have been—”

“Friends for a while,” I finished for her. “I know. I also know you like him, too.”

“So, is that why you decided to face me dressed like that? To put me in my place?” she asked softly, though if looks could kill, I’d have been long dead. “It’s rather desperate, don’t you think?”

“You think I came out like this to prove something?” I laughed, more than annoyed. “Scarlet, if I was going to prove something, I’d do this.”

Opening my shirt, I let her see the hickeys all over my breasts and stomach. Her fists clenched and she tried to keep a straight face.

“You can like him all you want, Scarlet. I’m not threatened by you because you can’t win,” I told her as I buttoned up the shirt. “So please don’t put him in a situation where he may have to let go of a damn good producer.”

“Jane?”

I turned back as Max came down the stairs dressed in dark jeans and a casual shirt. It was the first time I’d seen him out of a tie…well, in a matter of speaking.

“Everything okay?” he asked, putting his hand on my waist.

“I feel a little bit awkward standing here in your shirt. I’m going to take a shower and get dressed.” I kissed his cheek before moving to the stairs. “It was nice to meet you, Scarlet. We should meet again under different circumstances. I would really like to know more about Max’s work.”

“Sure,” she said, but it sounded like a ‘fuck off’.

Nodding, I headed back into the bedroom expecting Wes to be in the shower, but instead he was lying in his clothes in the center of the bed.

“Come here,” he told me while not bothering to open his eyes.

“I didn’t realize you were the jealous type,” I said, crawling into the bed and resting my elbow on his abs.

“What makes you think I’m jealous?” he asked.

“Max asked me to destroy that woman, all because you made one comment. I feel kind of bad.”

His eyes snapped open and his jaws were clenched. “Don’t feel sorry her. I’m actually jealous of you. If I had gone downstairs, she wouldn’t have gotten through the door.”

“What did she do?” He was far too upset for it to just be jealousy.

“Max doesn’t know this, but she was the one who started the damn rumor about his sexuality. She hoped it would prompt him to prove he wasn’t, and since her mother and his mother are friends, I guess she thought she’d end up with Max.”

“What a bitch.”

“You will learn, Jane, I can take a lot of shit, but don’t fuck with the people I care about. If Max didn’t need her, I would have…” He didn’t finish that statement, and I just put my head on his chest.

“Does it bother you that your relationship is kept in the closet?” I asked.

“It’s a pretty nice closet.”

“Wes.”

“A few days ago, he asked for your help in order to make a date for me,” he whispered, placing his hand on my thigh. “It doesn’t bother me as much because it bothers him. He cares enough that it bothers him. When he’s ready, he’ll make a choice. I can wait. In the meantime, we have a beautiful woman to focus on.”

“Don’t focus too much that you realize there isn’t much here,” I whispered. “I give you either a month or two before you’re bored with me, but it’s going to be fun until then.”

He shifted, sitting up against the pillows. “Why do you do that?”

“Do what?”

“Keep one leg out the door at all times. You’ve committed to being here, but you still can’t help but think of running. Why?”

“I’m just being practical.”

“I’m in love with a man who can’t be honest with his family or anyone in his life outside of this penthouse. I desire a woman I barely know but crave more than I can understand. On top of that, the man I love wants her too, and it makes me want her more, if possible. How is any of this practical?”

I didn’t know what to say to that; it was a lie. I did know and there was no point lying about it. “You and Max have each other to fall back on. As shitty as Max’s family might be, he still has family. You have family. It’s always been just me…being practical even in the face of the unpractical is still self-preservation. That isn’t a habit I’m going to break just because of two strangers.”

“Two strangers you have no trouble sleeping with?”

“Sex is different. You know it’s all about attraction.”

“Fine then, tell me about yourself.”

“I’ve told you guys everything.”

“You’ve told me about your circumstances. I want to know who you are.”

“What are the two of you talking about?”

I rolled back to see Max come inside the bedroom, shutting the door behind him. He fell on the bed beside Wes and closed his eyes when his head hit the pillow.

“Is everything okay?” I asked him.

“Ask me tomorrow,” he replied, lifting my legs and placing them over his lap. “So what are we talking about?”

“Jane was about to agree to play forty-seven questions.” Wes grinned.

“Forty-seven? I thought the game was called twenty questions.”

“It is, but I knew you wouldn’t agree to that off the bat. I’d rather negotiate from high to low,” the bastard replied. “We should know the woman we’re sharing a bed with. For all we know, you could be a black widow finding your prey by pretending to be a maid then using seduction before WHAM!”

My mouth dropped open and I looked to Max; he just shook his head. He’d obviously come to expect this craziness from Wes.

“Shouldn’t you have been worried about that before you slept with me?”
