Small piles of blankets and clothing were strewn across the dirt floor. Some of them piled like bedding, places where someone or something slept. Olivia squeezed her eyes shut, taking a hit of pain behind her brows. Her neck hurt, most likely because her head had been bent forward, her chin resting on her chest.

Olivia opened her eyes again and Lindsey stood naked in front of her. Small clamps covered Lindsey’s nipples with fine chains hanging down, dirt smears covered her lower legs and knees and her long red hair hung loosely behind her shoulders.

“Lindsey,” Olivia’s words slurred over her swollen, dry tongue.

Lindsey stared with blank eyes, as if she didn’t recognize Olivia.

“Lindsey, don’t worry, the others are coming for us. Untie me. We need to get out of here.”

Lindsey laughed in Olivia’s face, a nasty, echoing laugh, something Lindsey might have done in a play or drama. Olivia knew of Lindsey’s past reputation in acting. But then, she pinched Olivia’s nipple. Her body jerked in instant shooting pain. Lindsey laughed again.

“What is wrong with you?” Olivia snapped.

Again, Lindsey stared at Olivia as if looking straight through her. Olivia recognized dilated pupils and her friend’s unusual behavior were the effects of some kind of drug. She hoped that was all the monster had done to Lindsey.

“What did he do to you, Lindsey? Snap out of it. You need to untie me so we can get out of here.”

“She’s not going anywhere, and neither are you.” The rogue entered her line of vision from the right and shoved Lindsey aside. His milky eye and glowing amber eye roved over Olivia, leaving her feeling even more violated. He pulled Lindsey to his side and wrapped an arm around her, his hand cupped her breast. Lindsey snuggled against him, arching into his hand. He tugged the fine chain of her nipple clamp, and Lindsey’s lips parted, followed by a breathless whimper.

“What have you done to her, you monster?” Olivia pulled against her bindings, to no avail.

“Not a good way to start our relationship, dear mate. You may address me by my name, Smoke.”

“I’m already mated, you mongrel.”

“Well, I don’t see your mate, so I guess finders, keepers, and I win.” He reached for Olivia’s breast and pinched the same nipple Lindsey had a moment ago, but Olivia fought down the reactive flinch. He applied more pressure, sending a shock of pain through her body, alerting every nerve ending, but again, she held her ground and didn’t respond. His lips stretched across his face, a gruesome look on his deformed face. “I love challenges, my dear Olivia, and you will succumb, because you’ll want to.”

He released her, and another pain struck as blood rushed back into her distended nipple. He dragged his fingers between her breasts and down her belly. Olivia twisted her hips back, but her strapping was so tight, his fingers easily traced down her skin without interruption. His fingers furled through her pubic hair, pulling, she thought he’d yank her curls right off.

Lindsey moved behind him, wrapped her arms around him and buried her hands down the front of his jeans. Olivia watched the up and down motions of Lindsey’s hands. The rogue hauled Lindsey in front of him and forced her down on her knees. She undid his pants, releasing his arousal.

“Lindsey, don’t do it. You don’t need to do this.”

Smoke pushed Lindsey back, so her body was almost underneath Olivia’s splayed legs. Olivia watched Smoke shove his cock inside Lindsey’s mouth, and at the same time he slid his fingers into Olivia’s folds, ramming a finger into her passage.

“Stop, damn you,” she screamed at both Smoke and Lindsey. The whole scene was like a nightmare, not just because she was naked and trussed up like some kind of sacrificial lamb for the big bad wolf, but also because Lindsey wasn’t acting like Lindsey.

“If you want your mate alive, you’ll do exactly as I wish. No more of your harsh mouth or I’ll send the wolves to finish him. You saw how easy we captured him, and he’d be an easy kill in the condition he’s in right now.”

Smoke telling her those things assured her Chance still lived. She knew he wouldn’t give up searching for her.

“You say one more word against me, or if I hear you’ve attempted an escape, I will kill him.” He plunged another finger inside her, and Olivia closed her eyes, afraid she wouldn’t be able to control herself from voicing her abhorrence of him. Hating him for the killer he was, a murderer of people in her village, of Rebel, of her entire herd of goats, of abduction, and now sexual molestation and most likely rape.

But, Chance’s life depended on her. Holding herself together, at least for the moment, she’d play this mad-minded game. She couldn’t risk being drugged like Lindsey, or Chance would never find her. Then Olivia remembered what Chance said, the Alpha called Smoke could read minds, everyone’s mind.

She gazed up at the Monster, softening her eyes into his gaze as his fingers worked inside her, and she realized he couldn’t read her hate. He couldn’t read her. Maybe this wouldn’t be so hard after all.

At that moment, his fingers slid free of her, both of his hands busy holding Lindsey’s head in place. Her friend must have pushed him out of her mouth at his climax, because spurts shot in the air off to the side, raising a little steam when it dropped onto the dirt floor. His roar echoed against the walls, and he glared down at Lindsey.

“What are you doing, you fucking whore? My semen is the elixir for Olivia’s life, not deserving of the floor.” He slapped her face so hard she fell to the ground. “Every time you disobey me your friend will pay. I told you I’d bring Olivia back here, and I can kill her just as easy.”

Lindsey never looked toward Olivia, but rose on her knees in front of his thickening arousal. The monster took the clamps from Lindsey’s nipples and reached over snapping them onto Olivia’s.

Olivia gasped, squeezing her eyes shut. Tears rolled down her face at the excruciating pain. She opened her eyes determined not to react more than she just had. He wouldn’t get to her.

“Lick me like you mean it, slut, clean me with your tongue,” he spoke to Lindsey, but stared at Olivia, while licking the two fingers he’d removed from her. “You, my dear, taste good enough to eat.”

The only thing in Olivia’s mind at that moment was getting Lindsey and herself the hell out of there.

Chapter Eighteen

Jasmine ran ahead in wolf-form scouting the way for Dir and Jase, who took turns carrying Chance back to the trucks parked in Olivia’s driveway. They didn’t want a reoccurrence of the attack on their alpha. Jasmine had a bad feeling about what happened with Olivia. When Chance woke up he’d be brutal about getting back on the search for those rogues, just like Trevor looking for Lindsey. Jasmine understood the need in keeping a primal-mate close. She would never stop searching if Dir ever got stolen from her.

Once they broke free of the tree line into the yard, Jasmine changed into her human-form. They quickly dressed after seat-belting Chance into Jase’s truck, and then she and Dir followed all the way to the club-house. It didn’t take long before Chance was tucked into his own bed. Jasmine picked the lock on the collar, and once off she handed it to Jase so he could check it over for bugs or trackers. They definitely didn’t want the rogue pack finding their facility.

“The collar is free of bugs or trackers,” Jase said. “I checked your goody bag while I was at it, and there was something in the lining. It was a marker, we can only hope whoever’s at the end of the signal, didn’t get an exact location.” He dropped the collar along with the defunct marker on the table in the Ops room. Pill bottles and paperwork were still sorted on the table where Jasmine had emptied her bag. She picked up a bottle.

“I suppose if we looked at the contents of these capsules under the microscope we’d find it contained placebo. I don’t know when the switch would have happened…unless it was when the bag got taken at the airport.” Jasmine stood thoughtful for a moment, replaying the time in the airport back through her head. “It was only gone from my sight for a few moments when those guards turned me to handcuff my wrists behind my back and they started me on that damn walk. I know what I took from Doctor Linden’s lab was the real stuff…and I know the formulas are the real thing. Thankfully the formula took a ride inside my bra and not in the bag, but it won’t help our search right now.”

“Do you have a guess on how long Chance is going to be out?” Dir asked.

“Without knowing the dosage or the kind of tranquilizer used, I can’t be sure. I think he said he was out for like twelve hours last time, maybe even a few hours longer.” Jasmine wished she could give a more detailed answer, because this one left them torn on where they should be concentrating their efforts.

“So, what do we do? Trevor is out there by himself, angry, frustrated, and in sexual need of his mate.” Dir glanced over at Jasmine. “If I know Trevor, he won’t give up until he finds Lindsey. I know I wouldn’t stop.”

“One wolf against the rogue pack would be a slaughter. Do we even know how many wolves are in that pack for sure?” Jase walked over and picked up a couple reports off the stack dedicated to the rogue packs locations and crimes. He tossed a couple at Jasmine and Dir. “These are the latest I printed off. Maybe there’s something in there on how many current members.”

“Well, losing the advantage of scenting them sure didn’t help. Even distinguishing between howls couldn’t give us an accurate head count. Hell, it could be the same wolf running around and howling from different areas in the woods and we’d never know it.” Dir picked up the folder in front of him and thumbed through it. “Nothing here.”

“Look at this.” Jase tossed some intelligence reports from the European Ops across the table. “They mention five. I don’t know if that means five plus the Alpha, or that number includes the Alpha, but it gives us something tangible.”

“So, if the three of us join Trevor it’s four of us against five or six. What do you think? Does that make odds in our favor?” Dir smiled. “We could call Damen in from the field and have him as a back up. It would even up our odds a little.”

“Personally, I hate Damen.” Jasmine tossed her folder back at Jase. “He’d be late anyway.”

“My little flower, all I can say is I’m glad I’m on your good side.” Dir chuckled, slid his arm around Jasmine and kissed her, warm and tender on her lips. She loved him, all of him.

“Okay, before you two get carried away, let’s get out there with Trevor, or are we knocking off for sleep and waiting for Chance?” Jase asked.

“I say we get out there and help Trevor. He’d be there for any of us. We need to be there for him.”

Jasmine knew Dir was right. Trevor wanted his mate, but it took Chance’s mate getting stolen before Trevor decided he wouldn’t stop looking. The Alpha mate required retrieving or they would lose their Alpha. Chance would never be the same after waiting so many years and finally finding his primal-mate. She knew he’d figured it would never happen for him. He’d confided in Dir and, of course, Dir shared everything with her.

“I’m in, but let’s go back with some weapons. Damen shared a few toys with me.” Jasmine opened her bag and dropped some adjustable collar straps with small canvas containers attached, big enough to hold a pair of leather gloves, some star blades made of silver, along with small silver-bladed daggers. “Everybody fill your collar bag. You’ll still shift with this thing on, plus you’ll have everything you need. Just remember, put those gloves on before you touch the silver or you’ll burn yourself, a bad burn. Damen showed me his hand, and it still hadn’t healed after forty-eight hours.”

Jasmine slid a collar on and it looked like a necklace. She knew her neck would shift into it, and a little slack was better than too tight. “I’ll check on Chance and meet you out at the truck in five.”

Dir grabbed her and kissed her long and hard, sparking a fire in her he’d definitely put out later. “Hurry back.”

God she loved that guy. Jasmine ran through the doors and hallways until she reached Chance’s room. She went into his bedroom, and saw him in the same position as she’d left him. “I wish you’d wake up, boss. But, don’t you worry. We’ll bring your mate home to you.”

Chapter Nineteen

Olivia closed her eyes, disgusted. She couldn’t bear watching another minute of Lindsey licking Smoke. She’d never wanted to physically hurt anything or anyone, not even her philandering, deceased husband, like she wanted to hurt this evil beast. Bile burned the back of her throat, and then another shot of pain lashed through her breasts. She looked down and saw both chains stretched over Lindsey’s head, held in Smoke’s fingers. He stared at her and tugged again, another gasp of pain and shock flew from her mouth. He grinned at her, obviously enjoying her pain.

Her nipples were numb until he tugged the chain, and then fresh pain zinged through every nerve in contact with the clamps.

“Lick me clean,” Smoke ordered Lindsey. He stood over her with his legs spread wide. “Make sure you get my balls.”

Olivia wanted nothing more than to cut his balls clean off and shove them down his throat.

“You’re next.” Smoke glared at Olivia.

“What about me?” Lindsey stood in front of him. “You promised.” She turned her backside toward him, making eye contact with Olivia. Lindsey winked, and then crushed her bottom against him.

“Take a lesson Olivia. She wants me, like you will want me.” He grabbed Lindsey around her hips, lifted her, and then carried her the short distance across the room.

Lindsey had come out of her drug stupor, Olivia was sure of it. Lindsey was a hell of an actress, but this was above and beyond. According to Lindsey’s drama professor, she had been his top student in all the years of his teaching.
But, my God, how is she pulling this off?

Smoke dropped Lindsey, belly side down, over a boulder near the wall. He bent over her and kicked her legs apart. Olivia had a side view of Smoke’s erection and the length of it shocked her, so did the length of the tongue he slid up Lindsey’s crack.

He shoved two fingers inside her and she whimpered. His fingers plunged in and out while his other hand pulled at one of her bottom cheeks, opening her crevice to him. His tongue lapped around her back entrance, and again bile surged up Olivia’s throat.
