“Reese baby, I was not even thinking of suggesting such a thing,” he interrupted her.

“Oh, don’t act like it’s not your style. And to tell you the truth, I don’t even know why I didn’t even think about that after you told me about how you had your ex abort her baby.” 

Reese knew she had went too far when she saw the sad expression on Tommy’s face, but validated her words of choice because of the pain she was feeling. 

Reese was the first to break the short awkward silence by walking back to the door and opening it, giving Tommy the signal to leave. 

Tommy silently walked past her without another word. As he began to turn around to say something to not end things so dramatically, the door slammed in his face. 

All he could manage to say after that was, “Damn.”
