This was when they really connected and
re-energized themselves.

Marcus, in reply, pulled her bodily to
him so their mouths could meet.

Their lips and tongues eagerly devoured
each other. Hot, panting, and glistening bodies slid against each
other as their mouths continued to tease and titillate while his
cock rammed into her deeper and faster. Lola moaned as Marcus
sucked her earlobe into his mouth while a hand kneaded and squeezed
one lusciously round breast. Lola moved her hands over his back,
scratching him with her fingernails as her pleasure peaked to
unimaginable heights. This never failed to turn him on. It made him
go completely wild. It was almost as if he lost his mind when he
knew they were both getting out of control, abandoning caution and
leaping over the edge, both knowing they would lose it unless they
held each other.

With a growl, he lifted her from the
table, hands clamped onto her butt and back, and lowered her to the
thick carpet. She protested when his cock left her core but groaned
anew in pleasure when Marcus expertly parted the fleshy petals that
concealed her love bud with an expert tongue and started to use
short, rapid licks to drive Lola insane with need.

She knew how their combined scent of
sex aroused him further. Her lower body bucked against him in
response to the motions of his mouth and tongue. Threading her
fingers through his hair, she ground herself into his fantastic
mouth. Urging him along with little whimpers and whispered words,
she only fueled the flame further.

She knew that he was trying to push her
over the edge into sheer ecstasy again, but she would not let him
this time. She wanted them to jump together. She wanted them to
come together.

Quickly, she pulled him up so that he
would bury his steel-like cock deep inside her again. It was not
like him to pull back because he wanted to be inside her as much as
she did.

So when he did not do so, she laughed
with him in shared happiness.

Nothing was ever better than that
feeling of being joined together. He drove into her over and over
until finally, Lola felt that special sensation start to spread
throughout her body once more. She soared higher and higher until
it completely enveloped her.

However, something was different. When
her eyes closed and her inner eyes opened, she felt a violent
jolt.

There was a face watching
her.

At first she thought it was Marcus, but
then realized that this face was different from Marcus; it seemed
older.

There was an evil glint in his eyes
that was so uncharacteristic of Marcus that she froze.

The face-or rather, its owner-realized
that she could see him.

That was when he smiled at
her.

This smile was more of an unfriendly
leer.

Her eyes flew open and she knew what
she had just witnessed.

Marcus had begun to climb to his own
peak of pleasure while Lola was experiencing her vision. So lost
was he in ecstasy that he did not realize that Lola was slipping
off into another world.

As he was coming back to earth, he
kissed her.

That was when he knew that something
was going on.

"What's wrong, baby?" he whispered,
panting.

"Nothing really," she answered, feeling
the chill down to her core.

The face was gone.

The presence was gone.

But she knew that was not the first
time it had been watching them.

It had been watching them for a long
time.

"That... that was phenomenal as
always."

"Then what is it?" His palm was on her
cheek. He knew she was cold. "Don't try lying to me, Lola. You know
you can't and it's not making me feel any better."

Chapter Four

"OK. I had a vision," she said, after a
gulp.

He frowned deeper. "Another one of our
special visions?"

"Yes, that's right." She paused. "Only
this time, it wasn't so sweet or great. This time, I think I saw
what's threatening the magical community."

He tensed. "Are you serious,
sweetheart?" Marcus gathered her in his arms tightly. "What was it?
What did you see?"

"I think I saw the face of evil," she
whispered as she closed her eyes and let him hold her trembling
body.

THE woman saw me,
Nicholas thought.
She must
be very powerful to have been able to do that.

He sat back, hands folded with his
fingertips at his chin.

That was something unexpected but it
was a bit exciting to him. This Lola was quite a beautiful woman
and he might decide not to destroy her.

He could be very content with this
woman at his side in a ruling capacity.

She would have to be won over to his
side. But he was confident that he could do that easily
enough.

It would mean that he would have to
banish her husband from her mind. He was also certain that it could
be easily done.

Adair had served her
purpose.

But this woman, Lola, would be much
more fitting to serve with him while he turned the magical world on
its ear.

He knew that he was powerful enough to
get the portal open for unleashing the demons of hell on an
unsuspecting world.

He had been commanding them from below
for a very long time. Now they would have more freedom and more
hunting grounds.

They had long since run out of what
they needed below the surface.

Now, they would have an entire planet
to feed upon.

Magic would no longer need to be hidden
under the cloak of invisibility. Practitioners would be able to
come out into the open proudly and show the world what they could
do.

That was his vision and he knew that it
would come to pass.

He and Lola would rule this new
world.

The decision had been made, especially
after seeing her in bed with her husband. She was so beautiful and
so hot, and her moans were an aphrodisiac for him. Just watching
her being taken made his cock very hard and
uncomfortable.

Which meant he needed Adair in here
with him.

Marcus needed to appreciate what he had
while he still could.

Soon, Lola would belong to
Nicholas.

And Marcus would no longer be of this
world.

"ADAIR!" he called out to her in his
head.

Adair appeared in front of him,
cowering in fear. She knew what was to come if she failed him
again.

"Y-Yes, Master?" she asked, looking
down at his cock. His cloak was already open and Adair could see
what he needed.

He was already flicking his hand and a
bed appeared behind Adair's back.

Eager now to do something to lessen her
Master's anger at her, Adair stepped back towards the
bed.

She gasped when rough ropes reached for
her wrists and ankles.

She lay prone on her back, sprawled
spread-eagled and bound in the middle of the cushions.

"M-Master?"

Master flicked a hand. Adair's clothes
disappeared and the woman shivered as the cold hit her skin. "I
need a little more stimulation tonight, Adair," he said, his cock
getting bigger.

Bigger and bigger... and thicker still,
urged on by magick.

The horror on Adair's face was an added
aphrodisiac. He came to the bed. "And Adair?" he said pleasantly as
another flick of his fingers produced a long gash on her chest,
from her neck down towards her stomach.

"I need to hear you
screaming."

"AND YOU'RE positive that his face
looked like mine?" Marcus asked Lola as he passed her a cup of
tea.

"Yes, positive. The only differences
were that he looked much older and I've never seen you with a
completely evil look on your face before. Please hand me one of
those finger sandwiches."

Marcus gave Lola a quizzical look as he
handed her the plate of sandwiches that Amie had made to go with
their tea. Various fillings had been used such as tuna salad,
seafood salad, ham and cheese, among others. She had managed to
finish off four of them.

"Don't look at me like that. It's
nervous eating. I eat when I get nervous. Haven't you noticed
that?" she snapped.

He couldn't help it. He felt his face
pale. "That's fine, sweetheart. I didn't mean to give you any
certain look. If it makes you feel better, here, take as many as
you want."

"I just can't get that face out of my
head," Lola said as she continued to munch on the sandwiches in
between sipping her tea. "It was so frightening!"

"I can imagine, my darling," Marcus
encouraged, not mentioning that she said the face looked similar to
his own features. He knew she was talking about the menace she saw
on the eyes.

He felt a chill enter his heart at the
knowledge that someone had scared his wife that way. He knew how
hard it was to scare Lola. "We must figure out who this man is that
you saw, because I'm fairly certain that he's not me from the
future. I don't want you to start worrying about me becoming
evil."

"No, no, I'm not worried about that,"
she said as she reproachfully looked at him. Marcus felt so
relieved that he almost did not hear what she was saying
next.

"And I do know that it has something to
do with the horrible threat that's coming to the magical
world."

Suddenly, there was a brisk movement in
the air, like a gust of wind, only it was inside the
room.

There in the middle of their bedroom
stood, Sable.

Chapter Five

"HELLO, my darlings!" she exclaimed as
she raced over to engulf each of them in huge hugs. "It's so lovely
to see you both looking so hap-healthy!" The change was elicited by
seeing the biscuit and pastry wrappers her daughter had consumed.
Sable looked positively scandalized.

"Mother, you really have to stop doing
that! You never know what you may be swooping in on," Lola said as
she hugged her mother back, acting as if she had not seen her and
Marcus exchanged meaningful looks.

"Oh, I always sense when the coast is
clear," Sable said, waving her hand dismissively. "So how are
things coming along? Goodness, Lola, can you please stop stuffing
your face like that?"

"Leave me alone, Mother," Lola snapped.
"I'm very nervous and this is what I do to make myself feel
better."

"Well, if you don't calm down soon,
you're going to weigh 300 pounds!" Sable retorted.

Marcus sighed and gave his
mother-in-law another warning look. "Ladies, please, let's all calm
down. We've got some things to work out and, of course, we need to
find out what this enormous evil is that's coming. That's not going
to happen if we're bickering among ourselves."

Both women were properly chastened.
Marcus brought Sable up to speed on what they had discovered about
his biological mother, as well as the vision that Lola had
experienced.

Sable was highly interested in both of
these things.

"May I see the picture of this
Mariana?" Sable asked.

Marcus passed her the entire envelope
containing everything The Council had been able to find out about
his background. Sable opened it and withdrew the sheets of paper,
along with the picture of Marcus's birth mother. She scanned the
typewritten information and then settled her gaze on Mariana's
photograph.

"Why, I've met her!" Sable exclaimed.
"The name didn't ring a bell but I never forget a face. I always
can remember what someone looks like once I've met them, even if I
can't recall names. And I've definitely met this woman, but she was
a bit older than in this picture."

"That's true..." seconded Lola. She
knew of her mother's memory when it comes to faces. "Mother, can
you remember where you met her? Or when?"

Sable didn't waste time answering. "I
met her years ago in New Orleans. It was in 1985 at Mardi Gras. A
group of us had gathered in the French Quarter for the week. This
woman," she pointed at the picture with an index finger, "came into
our hotel suite one night. I only met her briefly. She wasn't quite
as much into the spirit of things as the rest of us. It was like
she was looking for someone, too. I remember that. As I said, I
didn't spend any real time with her. I only met her and then moved
on."

She looked at Marcus. "So this is your
biological mother, Marcus?"

"That's what The Council
believes."

"I see. Well, she was certainly alive
in 1985. You would have been, what? Three years old at that time?
You would have already been adopted by then. Lola, darling, please
tell me more about your coital vision."

"My what?" Lola squeaked.

"Your coital vision," Sable repeated.
"Oh, don't be so prudish! I know all about those visions and I know
when you have yours. We're all adults here."
