It did feel good, though. Cam couldn’t deny that. His hips lifted of their own accord, and he began fucking the slobbery lips as Grant moaned and gagged around his dick.

“Take it. Take it all!” Cam yelled and grabbed the back of Grant’s head, pulling him down on his cock until Grant’s swollen lips met the skin at the base. Grant grunted and gagged, then struggled to get away as Cam shot his load down his throat.

Finally Cam released his grip and flopped back on the sofa in triumph. Grant came up gasping for breath and wiping at his nose and mouth to remove the excess cum that had gurgled out like a slow-flowing volcano eruption.

“Jesus Christ,” Grant whispered between ragged gasps. After catching his breath, he asked, “Got a towel around?”

“Paper towels, on the kitchen counter.” Cam nodded toward the kitchen but otherwise made no move to help. “I should be ready in a few to fuck if you still want more.”

Grant was quiet for a moment, as if considering the proposal, then said, “Okay, I’ll check on Tommasina while you recuperate.”

Cam hadn’t even thought about the cat until that moment and looked over to find the big orange creature perched on the back of the couch, obviously having watched the entire encounter. “What the hell, cat? I didn’t come outside watching your ass get laid.”

Tommasina stared at Cam a moment longer, then glanced toward the kitchen as Grant came back in, still wiping at the drool on his chin.

“Bring one for me? My balls are dripping.” Cam held out his hand, and Grant dropped the wadded paper towel he’d been using into his hand. Cam shrugged and used it to dry off some as Grant headed for Tommasina.

While Grant poked at the cat’s belly, Cam drank the rest of his beer and headed to the kitchen for another, stepping out of his jeans to keep from tripping over them. He was tossing the cap away on his new bottle when he realized his headache wasn’t bothering him anymore. Yeah, he had seriously needed that and would be even better once he plowed Grant over the back of the couch.

When Cam wandered back into the living room, Grant had taken off his shirt and undone the button on his overly tight jeans. At the sight, Cam stopped and jacked himself until he was hard again, then pulled his own shirt off.

“Oh shit. Look at all those tattoos,” Grant groaned out. “You are fuckin’ bad-boy hot.”

Cam grinned and strutted a bit. He knew he looked good. He wasn’t some big muscle-bound weight lifter or anything, but he was tight and well proportioned. It definitely made him feel good to hear someone appreciate it, though.

“You like it? Then get rid of those pants so I can give you some of this.”

To give him credit, Grant did try to hurry while removing his jeans, but they were so tight, he ended up having to sit down on the couch and let Cam pull at the hem of each pant leg before they would come off. Cam frowned at the pants as he dropped them on the floor. Why would anyone want to wear something that hard to get in and out of? When he looked back up, Grant was on his knees on the couch, facing the back, with his ass pushed out in readiness.

“Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about,” Cam praised. He walked up behind Grant and ran his hand along the smooth skin of Grant’s pale, rounded ass. Grant was a little shorter than Cam and about as slim. Still in nice shape, although honestly, he did have a bit of a muffin top in those tight jeans. But to be fair, Cam wasn’t sure he wouldn’t in jeans tight enough to move his organs out of place.

While preparing for the evening’s festivities, Cam had made sure to shove some lubed condoms in the side table drawer, since he’d had no plans to let Grant upstairs to his bedroom. He was glad to see that Grant didn’t seem to have any interest in that either. Having a guy in the bedroom hinted at an intimacy Cam didn’t feel with Grant, and he definitely didn’t want to give the guy the wrong impression.

Cam grabbed a condom and rolled it down his hard cock, then stepped closer to tease Grant’s hole with the lubricated end. “You good with just going in, or do you need prep?” Cam asked, hoping Grant didn’t need lots of stretching before the act. That was something else Cam equated with intimacy, and it felt totally wrong with Grant.

“Nah, I keep myself stretched for occasions such as this,” Grant answered, and Cam let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding. That was one good thing about Grant: he understood his place and was accommodating to his sex partners. Cam appreciated that in a fuck.

Cam curled himself over Grant’s body and canted his hips forward to push slowly and evenly into Grant’s hole. “Oh yeah, nice and easy. You know how to welcome a guy.” Cam wrapped his arms around Grant’s chest and held him in place as he pulled out, then shoved back in harder.

“Shit! Good!” Grant cried out, and Cam began a steady rhythm. The couch made noises in protest of the rocking and soon Tommasina decided it was time to give up her perch for another that didn’t move quite so much. Cam was relieved to see her go, since having the cat as an audience to his fucking was causing severe damage to his mojo.

Cam pounded into Grant until he was sure the couch was going to give under the stress. He wasn’t that worried about it since he’d only paid twenty dollars for the thing and this stress relief was worth three twenty-dollar couches at least.

Cam screamed out his orgasm to the stained ceiling with Grant right behind him. He took a minute to get his heart rate back under control, then pulled out of Grant’s hole and peeled off the full condom.

He patted Grant on the back and said, “Thanks, buddy. That’ll do me.” Then Cam padded off, naked, to the kitchen to toss out the condom and get a glass of water. When he came back, Grant was in the downstairs bathroom, if the running water was any indication. He tapped on the door. “Is everything okay?”

When Grant grunted an affirmative, Cam wandered back into the living room and poked at the cum stain on the couch cushion with the wadded paper towel, then dropped it on the coffee table before lying down and covering his eyes with his arm. Shuffling sounds announced Grant’s exit from the bathroom and his efforts to dress. Cam didn’t move his arm from his eyes or strike up any unneeded conversation as Grant got ready to leave.

It got quiet for a moment and Cam almost peeked, but then Grant said, “So… I guess I’ll be getting home. Maybe some other time?”

“Yeah,” Cam said. “We can do that again, maybe.” He didn’t add any more, and after another pause, the door opened and closed. Cam stayed where he was until he heard a car starting, then he climbed off the couch and went about cleaning up the living room and locking up for the night. The doc had known just the right prescription for his sleeplessness, that was for sure!
I’m going to sleep like a baby tonight!

Chapter 13

TRUE TO
his prediction, Cam had had no trouble falling asleep. He slept like the dead for most of the night, but something—he wasn’t sure what—woke him up at about two in the morning, and after that, he tossed and turned. It was at around four that he finally threw off the covers and shoved himself out of bed, upsetting Tommasina, who left the room with a loud protest.

“Fine! I’ll give back the wallet. Okay? Jesus!” Cam screamed at no one and everyone, then stomped into the bathroom and slammed the door. He’d slept in the nude again to enjoy the feel of the soft sheets against his skin, so he had nothing to strip off before stepping into the shower, where he simply stood under the spray and grumbled until the water started to cool.

After drying off, Cam sat on the side of his bed and stared out the window into the night. This was just a onetime thing, right? It wasn’t like he was going soft or nothin’. He just wanted to help an old couple out; that was it. He tossed himself back on the bed and closed his eyes, sighing in frustration.

The next time Cam opened his eyes, it was to the pale light of morning and a chorus of birds. With a yawn and a scrub to his eyes, he sat up and checked the time to find it was a little before seven. After stretching, he made his bed and got dressed, then headed downstairs for some coffee.

When Officer Rhodes and the kids knocked on the door, Cam was at the kitchen table with his coffee, the radio set to an Atlanta station that played a mix of alternative and rock.

“Coffee’s made. Glasses of chocolate milk are on the counter,” Cam said as they filed by.

“Gonna be another hot one today,” Rhodes greeted as they all clambered in.

“And I plan on working in here with the AC because of it,” Cam declared.

“Won’t you lose business if you aren’t out at the garage?” Rhodes asked.

Cam shrugged. “Nah. I can put a sign up to come around to the house. Plus, not much business to miss, really.” There were only so many cars in the small town and not many others were going to use a mechanic so far off the beaten path. Cam wasn’t too worried about it, though. There weren’t many bills without a house or car payment, plus he could walk to work.

“And the kids?”

“I want y’all to start on the back today. Just picking up the trash is all right now. But if you get too hot, you come on in. We’re gonna order some pizza for lunch.”

All three kids perked up at that news. “Like in the movies, where a guy brings it right up to the door?” Tony asked.

Cam and Jackson chuckled. “Just like that,” Cam assured.

“Can I answer the door when it comes?” Galen asked.

“No, me!” Tony argued.

The two went back and forth with Luanne trying to calm them down, until Cam assured them that they all three could go to the door and pay when the pizza man came. That got a round of cheers, then all three kids put their glasses in the sink and headed out the back door to start their day.

It got quiet once they were by themselves, and Cam caught Rhodes glancing around as if unsure of himself or what to say.

Rhodes took another sip of his coffee and stood up quickly, almost knocking his chair over and appearing suddenly a bit nervous at being alone with Cam. “I, umm… I better get going too,” he said as he placed the mug in the sink.

“Yeah, I got walls to get ready for painting.” Cam stood and frowned as he watched Rhodes almost drop his cup into the sink, then fidget toward the front door.
What the hell?

“You, uh… have a nice day,” Rhodes said before turning and hurrying out.

JACKSON SLID
behind the steering wheel of his cruiser and sighed. He had just made a fool of himself. He had no doubt about it. He looked up to see Cam staring at him from the front door, a frown still on his face. Yep, a fool.

But as he’d been sitting in the kitchen, a sudden image of Cam and Grant going to town on top of the kitchen table had come to mind. The exact same table where he had been sitting at the moment. Finding himself overwhelmed with disgust… and desire—and what a weird combo that was—he’d known he had to get out of there immediately.

Was it possible they’d had sex last night? What a stupid question! Of course they’d had sex. This was Grant he was talking about. And didn’t that do odd things to his innards? For some reason, Jackson felt angry at both of them. And disgusted. And jealous. Only it wasn’t so much that he was jealous of Cam. He found he was more jealous of Grant for getting with Cam.

Well, isn’t that just fantastic.

IT WAS
inching up on noon when he heard the back door open and close. Cam had been busy all morning, prepping the walls and ceiling of the living room for painting. He’d covered all the furniture with a tarp and then used a sealant on all the water spots and spray paint.

Cam turned as he heard footsteps coming through the kitchen and toward him. Galen led the others and had something in his hand. At first Cam thought it was an old muddy rock, but as the boy got closer, it became all too clear what was in Galen’s hand.

“Look what we found, Mr. Sanders.” Galen opened up the muddy wallet to show all the cards and ID inside, with pictures that left no doubt who the ruined billfold belonged to. “Mrs. Evans lost this last week. And we found it! We’re going to give it back to her. Won’t she be happy?”

Dammit!
Why? Why did they have to find that? Could life get any more irritating? He was pretty sure it couldn’t.

Before Cam could even think of what he was doing, he tossed down the brush he’d been using and rushed toward Galen. “Give me that fuckin’ wallet!”

As Cam’s hand came up to snatch the sodden item from Galen’s grasp, a strange thing happened. Galen flinched, his body curling in on itself and his arm lifting to shield his face. Tony and Luanne both gasped, Tony backing away and Luanne stepping forward as if she would jump between the two.

Cam froze and the kids did the same. His gaze flicking between the three children, eyes widening as he read what was clear on their faces. He knew that reaction well, and what caused it. There was suddenly a much deeper connection between himself and these three scraggly kids. With extreme care, Cam withdrew his hand and took a step back.

“Hey, buddy,” Cam said as if speaking to a spooked animal. “Giving it back is a great idea, but I was just going to suggest we clean it up some first. Mrs. Evans wouldn’t even recognize that nasty thing, right?”

Tony and Luanne seemed to relax, but Galen didn’t respond so Cam stepped forward cautiously and placed a gentle hand on Galen’s shoulder. “Hey. Sorry for cussing at you, okay? You don’t ever need to be scared of me.” Cam lifted the hand and patted Galen’s arm several times, then took the wallet from his hand. “Come on, let’s see what we can do to clean this up, and we have a pizza to order, too.”

Cam headed off toward the kitchen, and after a moment, he heard the sound of three sets of feet following him. After putting the wallet on the counter, he searched under the sink for a scrub brush and the dish soap.

He filled the sink with warm water and one squirt of the soap, then pointed over at Luanne. “Pull out all the cards and papers. Everything but the fabric itself, then shove it down in here.” He ruffled Galen’s hair as he passed him. The boy still seemed a little shaken, and Cam got angry just thinking about why that might be. Except showing anger right then was the worst thing he could do, so he shoved the emotion down to consider later.
