Panting from my exertions, I stood back and watched as, with a deep groan, he slowly melted before my eyes. First, his clothes melted into his body, exposing the tough green hide of his chest and shoulders, the thickly roped arms with little pointed protrusions that ran down the length of them. The colour of his body and the textures of his skin slowly receded until he was that swirling silver colour all over. Then his body just collapsed, turning to liquid silver in the tub, swirling and moving, rolling on itself before slowly quieting down.
I stared down at the beautiful mass of silver, fascinated despite my misgivings about this man, not to mention about what he was. It wasn’t that he was completely alien to anything I’d come across before in my life. It wasn’t that he could change forms and become something else. It was the fact that he stole for a living. He took what other people had worked hard for and made it his with no thought for the lives he might be affecting.
How could I reconcile our differences? What he did went against everything I’d been raised to believe, everything my parents and then my aunt had taught me about what was right and good in the universe.
I sat down on the edge of the tub feeling more confused and alone than I had in years. My initial alarm at seeing him hurt had given way to worry. Was he going to be okay? What had happened on the other ship for him to return so badly hurt? If he was hurt this badly, how must the rest of his crew have fared?
Time seemed to stand still as I sat watching over him. Nobody came to check on him. The ship was silent, even the engines. I didn’t know how much time passed before I started to wonder what that swirling silver liquid felt like. Would it be warm or cool? Would he feel it if I dipped my hand in and swirled it around?
My hand was reaching towards him before I realised it. I snatched it back and held my tight fist against my breast. Jumping up, I moved away from the temptation he presented.
I didn’t understand all the things I felt for this man. My emotions where he was concerned had me confused.
I moved about his quarters looking at the little things that made it his space. I was sneaking glances every few minutes back at the tub and the swirling silver liquid inside. He drew me like metal shavings to a magnet. I tried hard to study my surroundings, but my gaze kept being drawn back to him.
That was, until a small sculpture drew my attention on a shelf near the lounge area. It was the most extraordinary thing I’d ever seen. It seemed to be a small statue of a shifter caught between shifts. Parts of the body were smooth silver, other parts of the body fully realised flesh. The details were incredible—individual strands of hair, tiny little fingers and toes. All crafted in a heavy silver metal that reminded me of the man in the tub a few feet away.
The statue brought my thoughts back around to the man resting in that tub. Moving towards him, I stopped beside the oval vessel, my legs pressed against the metal sides. I stared down at the man inside, my thoughts focusing on one thing. I wanted to know what he felt like.
Before I could stop myself or second-guess what I was about to do, I sat down on the edge of the tub and slipped my fingers into that swirling, silver liquid.
Chapter Six
Warmth closed over my fingers. It was just like what I imagined a bath would feel like while immersed in water. The swirling stopped as I trailed my fingers through the warm silver fluid made of the man who had kidnapped me.
Slowly, so slowly, the silver crept up my hand, the warmth surrounding me up over my wrist and under the cuff of my uniform blouse. I straightened up, unsure what Tor’Arr was doing as the silver liquid continued to creep up my arm, surrounding me in warmth.
I started to become a little alarmed when my whole arm wound up covered in him, the warmth of him continuing to surround me, slipping over my shoulder, down my back and chest, over my breasts, slipping beneath my clothes and underwear to hug against my skin.
I slowly stood as he continued to cover me, a living, warm blanket wrapped around me, cupping me in intimate places, moulding to my body, learning my dips and hollows. There was nothing of him left in the tub. He completely surrounded me from ankle to neck, down my arms, the heavy warmth of him caressing me.
As slowly as he had crept across my body, he slowly started to recede, forming on the floor at my feet until a silver man was standing right in front of me. Shaped like a human, he had a smooth rounded head and defined brow ridges over deep-set eyes and a strong straight nose. He looked like the human he had been when he had kidnapped me from the station, but all in silver with no hair. He had no eyebrows, no body hair, just smooth silver from head to toe.
“Who would you like me to be, Tarnee? I can take any form you like.”
His deep voice sent shivers down my spine. It was much deeper than when he was human.
“I don’t understand,” I replied.
The beautiful silver of his body started to change and become the pale colour of his human form, dark hair covering his head.
“This? Or maybe you’d prefer this.” He started to change again, his skin lightening more, ridges forming on his brow, the skin of his lips turning a pale shade of purple. “Or maybe this.”
His features started to mould and change into a form I’d never seen before, his skin darkening to a beautiful warm shade of red. His hair receded and two little horns emerged on the sides of his forehead. Something wrapped around my leg and, gasping at the sudden shock I looked down to see a tail curled around my lower leg.
“Or maybe this.” His body started to change again, taking on the form he’d been in when he’d returned hurt. Mottled green skin that looked almost scaled covered him. Larger plates covered his chest, smaller plates on his arms and legs. His head changed shape, with almost no forehead, and those strange slitted eyes stared down at me.
“You,” I whispered, “Just be you.”
His gaze burned into mine before he changed back into that beautiful silver form, smooth as the liquid he could become. He reached for me and pulled me forward, lowering his head, his lips brushing mine, before he took my mouth in a searing kiss.
I expected him to taste different in this form, metallic like his colour, but he tasted the same as he had the last time he’d kissed me. Infinitely masculine, he swept his tongue into my mouth and stroked it against mine, sending tingles racing through my body to land with a throb between my legs.
I moaned into his mouth at what he was making me feel, the pleasure racing through my body. He dragged me up against the hard muscle of his body and kissed me harder, barely giving me time to think, time to breathe, pushing my desire higher and higher, until there was only him and what he was making me feel.
He dragged his lips from mine and I whimpered in protest.
“Let me love you, Tarnee.”
I stared up into his eyes, desire pulsing through me, my insides liquid with the heat he’d built.
Could I give myself to this man? Could I set everything aside that had happened between us and let him make love to me?
He’d kidnapped me, taken me away from everything I knew, and was effectively keeping me a prisoner on his ship. On the other hand, there was the connection we seemed to have and the way he made me feel.
Indecision and confusion coursed through me. I stared up into the swirling silver of his eyes, undecided as to what I should do.
“You’re thinking too hard, Tarnee.” He pulled me up against him and kissed me again. A slow move of his soft lips against mine and the wet slide of his tongue filled me with his taste. Heat spiralled through me and landed with a throb at my core.
He was stripping away all my doubts with his kiss, but there was something holding me back. I still felt hesitant to give him what he wanted. I was struggling to get past the fact that he’d kidnapped me, taking away my choice.
He drew back from the kiss, the gaze of his molten eyes burning into mine.
“What’s wrong, Tarnee?”
How could I tell him everything that was in my head? How could I make him understand?
“You kidnapped me, and I’m your prisoner.”
“And this disturbs you. I’d do it again if it got me even a moment with you, Tarnee. You are everything I could have wanted, and more.”
I stared up at him in shock, my lips still tingling from his kiss. “You barely know me.”
“Your actions speak for you, Tarnee. You helped me when I was hurt and vulnerable, and you haven’t given up on your missing parents. These things tell me the kind of person you are, and I’m proud to call you mine.”
He claimed that I was his and the connection we had led me to believe he was right. Was I over-thinking things? Making the decision harder than it should be?
However, if I went through with this, I’d be giving him something I could never get back. Was he the man I would let take my virginity? No other man had made me feel the way he made me feel. He sent desire spiralling through me, heating me up until I throbbed for him.
Looking up into the intense burn of his molten silver eyes, I decided I was making it more complicated than it needed to be. I wanted him, and there was no crime against me experiencing what he was offering.
He delved a hand into my hair and drew me forward for another deep kiss, sending my desire pulsing through me.
“Say yes, Tarnee. Let me love you.”
Another soft slide of lips and tongue had me grasping at his shoulders. His soft kisses washed away the last of my resistance. I was going to let this happen and worry about consequences later. I’d worry about the future later.
I nodded up at him, giving him what he wanted.
He reached for me, grasping the small buttons on the front of my blouse. With slow methodical movements and gentle strokes of his hands against the parts of me he exposed, I was soon standing before him naked, my long hair cascading down my back and my clothes in a pile at our feet.
I looked into his eyes shyly. No man had ever seen me so exposed. No man had ever touched me the way he’d touched me, stroking his long, warm fingers along my bare skin. He’d been naked all along, and I’d snuck glances at him as he’d undressed me. He had the physique of a human man, muscular arms and legs in all the right places, along with ridges of muscle across his stomach, the plates of his chest muscles defining him as masculine. He looked strong and fit. His muscles bunched and flexed as he moved, the silver sheen of his skin glowing faintly in the soft lighting of his quarters. Still... there was one thing missing. He didn’t have the essential male parts for us to join as a man and a woman.
“Tor’Arr, how is this going to work?” I asked hesitantly.
A deep masculine chuckle rumbled up from his chest.
“You’ll just have to trust me,” he replied, smiling down at me, his warm hands on my shoulders.
I studied his smiling face, looking for the reassurance I needed. When I didn’t respond, he drew me towards him with one hand around my upper arm and one hand in the back of my hair.
“Stop worrying, Tarnee, I know what I’m doing,” he told me before he kissed me.
He slowly teased with lips and tongue, his warm body pressed against mine in the cool air of his quarters.
I kissed him back, caught up in what he was making me feel, the problem of how this was going to happen slipping away. I’d have to trust him that he did, in fact, know what he was doing.
He bent low and picked me up, never breaking the kiss, never letting his lips part from mine, and turned to lay me out on the bed. The soft cover felt delicious against my skin, smooth and silky as it slid against me, caressing me as he looked over my naked form. His eyes skimmed heat through me as his gaze travelled down my body and back up.
“You are beautiful,” he told me before he lowered himself to his knees at the end of the bed and pulled me towards him.
I slid down the covers until I could feel his warm breath blowing across the sensitive skin of my stomach. My legs spread on either side of his wide shoulders, exposing my feminine core to him. My hands fisted in the covers, expectation running rampant through me over what I thought he was going to do. The position we were in left little doubt in my mind as to what he planned.
He didn’t make me wait. He gathered my hips up with strong hands under my bottom and raised me up to his mouth. The first touch of his hot mouth against my sensitive core ripped a whimper from me, the pleasure of his hot mouth and tongue against me shocking in its intensity.
He teased my sensitive flesh with his tongue the way he’d teased me with his kiss, pushing my desire higher and higher, turning me liquid with need. Heat spiralled through my body, igniting an inferno inside me, building pleasure, tightening my core. I whimpered, the muscles of my thighs and stomach tensing with the pleasure he was forcing into me.
I’d never known that sharing this with someone could be all-consuming, and that another person could make me feel so much. I wanted it to go on forever. I wanted him to look at me as if I was the most beautiful person in the universe every time. He made me feel special, desired, and above all wanted.
The pleasure built until I was gasping, driving me towards something. I was poised on the edge of an abyss, ready to fall at any minute, but before I could hurtle over the edge, he drew his mouth away, leaving me, cool air washing over the damp flesh between my legs.
My eyes flew open to stare down my body at him. He couldn’t just leave me like this with want and need slamming through me. He had to finish it—he
had
to. He stood before I could say anything and I saw that he was indeed right. He
did
know what he was doing. He had all the necessary parts to fill me, the straining length of his erection standing proud.
My eyes widened as trepidation shot through me. I’d never seen a man in a state of arousal before, and he was larger than I’d expected. His cock was long and thick.
He stepped between my legs. My hips still lifted in the air in his strong hands and he pressed the blunt head of his hard cock against my sensitive entrance, a tease of what was to come, the sensation causing my core to ripple in pleasure.
