I want to celebrate a milestone with my
readers—15 years ago, in October, 2000,
The Fairy Tale Bride
, was published
by Kensington Books.
When I thought about how
to celebrate this anniversary, I wondered if some of my readers —
you, maybe — might want to see a manuscript no one else has seen —
one I still have tucked under my bed.
Galatea’s Revenge
is the historical romance I wrote after my agent
began to submit
The Fairy Tale
Bride
. When editor Kate Duffy
bought
The Fairy Tale
Bride
, she wanted me to follow that book
with the tales of the other six very improper Victorian Fenster
siblings in the
Once Upon a Wedding
series.
By the time I finished
my
Once Upon a Wedding
series, I was ready to publish
Galatea’s Revenge
, so that Elspeth’s
story could finally be told. Unfortunately, the story broke a few
too many rules for the editors, so it went back under the bed while
I wrote an entirely new series, my lighthearted
Salem Witch
series for
teens.
In 2015, I’m juggling two
series: my cozy Secret Shopper Mom Mystery series, and a fantasy
serial that will debut in the fall. So Galatea’s Revenge will have
to wait until at least 2016 for me to revise and polish.
But that doesn’t
mean
you
have to
wait. If you’d like a sneak peek at my as yet under-the-bed book,

And thank you for helping
me celebrate 15 wonderful years as a published author.
