Michelle laughed and wiggled her butt again. This time she got a response. “And that brings us to the sex. Will it always be a threesome thing?”

“Nope.” Jack slid his stiffening cock up and down. “It’s entirely up to you. If you want just one of us, or both of us, or something in between, just say.”

His cock was fully erect now, and only inches from her pussy. She reached back and batted at it until Jack rolled away with a laugh. He climbed off the bed and gestured to his rock-hard shaft.

“Now what am I going to do with it?”

Michelle fluttered her eyelashes. “I’m sure I don’t know.”

He grinned and bent to collect his clothes. “Methinks a cold shower will kill it. You owe me one now, though.”

“Maybe if you’re a very good boy I’ll come play later.”

“Oh, I hope so.”

He headed out of the room in a comical strut that had Michelle giggling. She turned back to Craig and kissed him on the lips.

“Last night was incredible.”

“I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was pretty damn good for me, too.”

“Oh, I know.” She glanced to the door. “Jack’s a good guy.”

“The best. I’d trust him with my life. Have done, in fact.”

Michelle shot him a questioning glance. “Much call for that in your line of work?”

Craig grinned. “More than you’d think.” He rolled off the bed and stretched. “I’d like you to get to know him better.”

“I’d like that, too. He’s going to help me out with my freelance research, for one thing.”

“That’s great.” He seemed genuinely happy about it. “What are you doing tonight?”

“Nothing much. Some working out I guess.”

“Well, I was thinking. I’ve got an appointment that I can’t get out of tonight, but Jack is free. You and he could hang out?”

She nodded. “Sure, that’s sounds like a good idea. He can show me some freelance stuff on his PC or something while we get to know each other.” She grinned. “Maybe I’ll sit on his cock while we work.”

Her attempt to get a hint of jealousy out of Craig fell flat as he grinned and shook his head, then leant down and kissed her on the forehead. “Perfect girlfriend.”

She fluttered her eyelashes again as he turned to leave for his bathroom.

“Perfect boyfriends,” she said under her breath.

Jack decided upon a warm shower instead. Cool water might dampen his urges, but he hated being cold. Probably part of the cat thing, he thought as he lathered up his shoulders.

The shower cubicle door opened, and Michelle stepped inside. Her gaze flitted straight to his cock.

“Aw, it went down again.”

Jack grinned and pulled her close, her nipples brushing against his chest. “Changed your mind?”

“Actually, this is a business call. That, and I needed to shower.”

He let her go again, somewhat unwillingly. “Welcome to my office.”

She stepped under the spray and looked up into the water, her eyes closed. Jack squeezed some body wash into his hands and gently massaged her shoulders, kneading the muscles with his thumbs.

“So, what can I do for you?” he asked.

“Mmm, exactly what you’re doing right now.”

He chuckled and adjusted his footing so that his now-hard cock didn’t nudge her back. She wasn’t in there for that, after all.

“I meant other than my magic fingers.”

“Oh. Right.” She turned to face him, and he switched to lathering up one of her arms. “It’s hard to focus when you’re being all subservient like this.”

He grinned. “Cleaning is important. Now, come on. You said it was business, not pleasure. Focus, woman.”

She laughed. “Craig said he has a meeting or something tonight, but that you’re free.”

“That’s true.”

The meeting was actually a scouting of the church. Tate and Stefan said to stay away, but Jack and Craig had decided between themselves to take it in turns watching the place. They had rented a room in a nearby slum that overlooked the building, and for the next few nights would alternate shifts. Jack would have been there last night if the landlord had cleared the room in time.

Still, amazing sex with a gorgeous woman came a close second to eight hours in a room that stank of piss and sweat.

“Craig suggested that we spent the evening together,” Michelle continued. “To get to know each other.”

“That sounds like fun.” He switched to her other arm. “Beats sitting on the couch, whacking off to porn.”

“Yeah.” She waggled her eyebrows. “Now you’ll have an audience.”

He slid his hands up her arm, over her shoulder, and onto her breasts, working the soap in circles around her pert nipples.

“Sure I can’t persuade you to face the wall and spread your legs?”

She bit her lip, then shook her head. “God, I want that. But I need to get to work.”

“Another time, then.” He leant in and kissed her softly.

To his surprise, she blushed. He raised an eyebrow, then slapped his own forehead, splatting soap everywhere.

“Of course,” he said. “That was our first kiss.”

She nodded. “It was good.”

Jack leant in and brushed his lips against hers. “I can do better.”

Michelle spent the first five hours at work in a haze of fussy clients, bad coffee, and unrealistic deadlines set by her boss. None of it managed to remove the smile from her face. It seemed to have had an effect on the office, too, as a good number of colleagues were smiling, too. Happiness really is contagious, she decided as she dumped her coffee into the small kitchen’s sink.

“Water instead, methinks.”

She rinsed her mug under the sink and then filled it with water and made her way back to the desk. She would miss the caffeine, but it’s not like she really
needed
it. She hadn’t had a better night’s sleep in years.

According to the office clock, it was already four, which meant it was around a quarter past. She was sure the manager left it wrong to eke out a few free minutes of work from those not paying attention. Regardless, it meant that she was only a couple of hours from Jack’s arrival.

She arrived back at her cubicle and nudged the desk chair into position with her knee and sat down. She wasn’t sure how the evening would go, but she was a good judge of character, and Jack had hit all the right checkboxes.
Obviously, or I wouldn’t have slept with him.
She smirked into her mug.
In both senses of the term.

Alison had swung by earlier to ask about last night, but she’d left without much information, other than it having been a great night. She interpreted Michelle’s grin as meaning her and Craig had had some fun, and Michelle hadn’t corrected her. She’d tell her eventually, she was sure, but for the moment Michelle was happy with it being her little secret. Very happy.

The last two hours sped by, thankfully. Alison reappeared as Michelle was getting ready and waited for her.

“So, is Craig picking you up again?”

“No, Jack is. He’s helping me work out this whole freelance thing.”

“Typical.” Alison shook her head with a smirk. “Not only do you snag a great guy, his friend is willing to go out of his way to be nice to you. And he’s not getting anything for it!”

“Mmm hmm.” Michelle glanced away, hoping her blush wasn’t noticeable.

They set off toward the parking lot, arms linked. Alison wasn’t done with the questions, but they’d at least changed topic.

“So, anyway, I thought you started off freelance?”

Michelle nodded. “I did, but that was years ago. I came straight out of college, somehow managed to score a few gigs, then got hired on, and that was that. I was clueless and very lucky. If I’m going to do this, I want to make sure I do it right.”

“Makes sense. Trust you to be thinking about quitting as soon as I start working at the same place as you, though.”

“Oh!” She stopped still. “I hadn’t even thought of that. I’m sorry, hun.”

Alison grinned and shook her head. “I’m only kidding around. I’m all for you expanding your horizons and whatnot. Besides, I don’t know how long I can stick this job out.” She leaned in close. “The bitch is treating me more like a slave than a secretary.”

“That sucks, Ally.”

“Tell me about it.”

A familiar-looking SUV pulled into the parking lot. Jack climbed out of the driver door and waved, then walked over, a big smile on his face.

“Wow.” Alison nudged Michelle. “This is the friend?”

“Yup. I’ll introduce you.”

“Please do.” She pouted. “Such a pity he’s not available.”

If only you knew…
They watched as Jack came across the lot, dodging an impatient driver on the way and only smiling and shaking his head at the blaring horn and screech of tires. She imagined Craig would have had something to say to the guy, rather than shrugging it off. Odd that the two were so close.

Before Michelle could speak, Jack crushed her into a big hug and kissed her on the cheek as they separated. Alison merely raised an eyebrow in response.

“Doesn’t Craig mind you attacking his girlfriend like that?”

Jack flashed a smile. “I do it to all my friends.”

“Then I’d better become your friend fast.” She thrust out her hand. “Alison.”

“Ah, Michelle’s talked about you.” He took her hand and brushed his lips across her knuckles. “A pleasure.”

Michelle rolled her eyes at the pair while she tried to remember if she
had
actually mentioned Alison to Jack. She’d told Craig, and that was probably enough. She had a feeling that they shared every detail of their lives.
They certainly share me.

Alison and Michelle parted with a hug of their own, though this one involved Alison whispering exactly what she’d do to Jack given the chance, and then parted. Jack led her to the SUV and opened the passenger door for her.

“Milady.”

“Why thank you, kind sir.” She poked her tongue out at him. “Let’s get out of here.”

Jack climbed into the driver side and pulled out onto the road. “So, Alison wants to ride my chiseled face till I beg for mercy, huh?”

“You heard that?” Michelle turned to the window as she blushed hard. “You must have crazy hearing.”

He shrugged. “I do. I can hold my breath for a long time, too. Alison doesn’t know what she’s missing.”

“That she doesn’t. But tonight’s about business. You’re the teacher, I’m the student.”

Jack smirked, his eyes on the road. “You realize that’s conjured about a dozen various sexual fantasies, right?”

She punched him on the arm. “Just drive, horndog.”

Craig arrived at the slum building opposite the church just as the sun was beginning to set. He had parked his truck a few blocks over and jogged the rest of the way, sticking to alleys where he could. By the time he arrived at the apartment block the landlord had just arrived in his car. Craig introduced himself and handed over the security deposit in cash, much to the man’s approval. He was even more pleased when Craig said he didn’t need a receipt.

“You, uh, need anything, you call, okay?”

Craig nodded, his attention on the church opposite. “I won’t be here much, so I doubt I’ll need to.”

“My favorite kind of tenant,” the man said with a toothy grin. “Here’s the key. Remember where your room is?”

“Yeah, no worries.”

“Good.”

With that, the man climbed back into his car and drove off. Craig had the feeling that even if he did have an issue with the place, calling the landlord would get him nowhere whatsoever. With a smirk he tossed and caught the key then headed inside.

The stairwell could have been the worst thing he’d ever smelled, and he’d smelled some damn bad things in his years as a wolf. He climbed as quickly as he could and located his room. Inside wasn’t much better.

The place was part furnished—by the looks of it with the stuff that the last tenant couldn’t be bothered carrying back down the stairs. An old sofa and coffee table, a decrepit-looking oven and fridge, and a bed that looked older than the church. Thankfully he wasn’t sleeping there.

He eyed the lock on the door. It was the kind of lock you bought for ten bucks at a cheap hardware store. One kick, even from a human, and the door would swing open. He wasn’t expecting any unwelcome visitors, but he certainly wasn’t going to take any chances, either.

“Sofa?” He gave the piece of furniture a kick, breaking a leg. “Guess not.”

The fridge caught his attention.
Heavy, large, should do.
He cracked his neck to the side, then wrenched the hunk of rusted white metal away from the wall and dragged it into the front room and shunted it up against the door.

The room had a small balcony behind a large sliding window. It had seen better days, but Craig didn’t need to stand on it much. For the most part he’d let his other senses do the work from the safety of the room. For that to work, though, he’d need to be in his wolf form.
