Standing, he pulled her to a sitting position. “You taste great.” His voice was thick and heavy. He took her mouth and her last remaining senses. Coaxing her tongue into his mouth, he groaned in satisfaction.

She treated him to the same rhythm—in and out—that he’d just thrilled her with. He grabbed a foil packet she hadn’t seen on the photo album. In seconds, he was sheathed. His eyes, dark and heavy-lidded, smoldered.

“Ready?” he rasped.

“Don’t stop now.”

She leaned back as he lifted her legs over his shoulders and rubbed his cock between her folds. Leaning closer, he breached the threshold of her pussy and entered where no man had been in more than a year.

His thrusts filled her with fire. He ground against her, enflaming her emotions. Her hands clung to his shoulders. His head fell to her breast and he suckled. His rhythm increased, hard and fast. She panted his name and came like fireworks in a dark July sky. Derek grunted his release a moment later.

It could have been a year or an hour when her breathing slowed and her heart rate settled. The smell of sex perfumed the air. The breeze coming through the windows cooled her sweaty skin but did nothing to temper her desire.

Derek looked up at last, with the heady expression of a man filled with satisfaction. “You okay?”

She wanted to shout, “
God, yes
! You made me feel things I’ve never felt before,” but she only nodded.

“Good. There’s no bed here, but there’s a sofa that folds out. I’ll help you up.” He offered his hand. “Unless you want to leave? I’ll call you a cab if you want to go.”

Was he dropping a hint? She examined his eyes, which gave away nothing. “The sofa sounds great.” Boneless and sleepy, she didn’t think she could manage getting home. Even if she wanted to.

“Good,” he said, and dropped a kiss on her lips.

Unsteady on her feet, she still managed not to fall while Derek pulled out the bed. When she sat down, Derek removed her shoes, and slid her stockings down in a sensuous, smooth motion. Then she didn’t know what he did. As soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.

“I need some coffee. Do you?” A deep, throaty voice sounded at her ear. Then he leaned around her and kissed her awake.

Thia looked up into Derek’s deep green eyes.
Oh crap, what have I done?
“Good morning.” She sucked in a breath and gathered nerve. “Look, I’m not normally like this and I’m really embarrassed. Do you want to know the truth? I’ve never done this before.”

“Really? I’m glad I’m the lucky man.” He grinned down at her. “Even though I’m not sure what you’re talking about.”

“This is the first time I’ve ever gone home with a stranger, never mind spent the night.”

Derek sat up. “There’s no need to be embarrassed. You were incredible last night. Come on into the kitchen and let’s get you some coffee and something to eat.” He started toward the kitchenette. “I’m finished in the bathroom.”

Thia stretched then slid out from under the blanket. The robe she’d worn was on the back of a chair. After a quick moment of dread, she reminded herself he’d already seen all of her. She swallowed her modesty and walked naked to retrieve it.

“You said something about coffee and food.” She glanced at Derek’s groin. A huge bulge showed where a minute ago there hadn’t been one. She allowed herself a surge of pride that the sight of her body had brought the change about.
At forty one, I’ve still got it.

Derek moved to her, tilted her face, and softly kissed her. Thia’s lips teased his, then she let the robe drop to the floor. He deepened the kiss, exploring her mouth boldly with his tongue, and her heart raced.

Dropping her head to his chest, she suckled him, flicking his nipple with her tongue.

Sliding down his body, she dropped to her knees, pulling his briefs to his ankles. His penis was hard, like steel encased in velvet. She brushed her lips and tongue along his length. His fingers threaded through her hair, guiding her in a steady rhythm. His breath came fast and loud while his hips rocked, pushing his cock to the back of her throat and pulling out again. With each drive, she stroked with her tongue.

His hair tickled her nose, but his scent ignited a primitive urge. She wondered what it would be like to take him all the way, to taste his cum as it shot into her mouth and to swallow all he had. Involuntarily, she pulled back, knowing she couldn’t handle his release filling her mouth and sliding down her throat. She’d never done that before, even for her husband. The very concept was too icky.

But she liked the feel of him in her mouth, his hard length seeking the back of her throat, the satiny, smooth tip she caressed with her lips and the way he pulsed slightly when her tongue rasped the underside. She tugged on the head to prevent him from popping out and delved the tiny slit with the tip of her tongue. Derek moaned. Her hands snaked behind to knead the tight globes of his ass and push him further into her heat. His groan of satisfaction let her know he was close.

He stepped back pulling his engorged shaft from between her lips. He helped her up and to the sofa bed. On her back, through lust-glazed eyes, she watched as he retrieved a condom from a drawer in a table beside the bed and applied it. Kneeling between her legs, he reached a finger to test her readiness.

“I didn’t even do anything to you and you’re wet as hell,” he said, looking pleased.

“I want you to fuck me.” Not only did she hardly recognize the husky voice as hers, she’d never felt like using the F-word so much in her life.

It crossed her mind after today she’d never see this man again. Thank God. If she did, she’d never be able to look him in the eye. But in this cocoon of a room, she banished all rules of propriety. “Fuck me long and hard.”

Breath caught in her throat when he gently spread her and slowly invaded. Keeping some of his weight off her, he lay close, skimming her breasts with his chest, stoking the heat of passion deep in her pussy.

“That feels so good. My god, it feels good. Fuck me, Derek, fuck me hard.” Thia lost all control, giving body and soul to cravings she hadn’t felt for longer than she could remember.

Obeying her command, he took her hard and fast, plunging so deep she didn’t know how they avoided merging into one. When her body released, her inner muscles jerked and shuddered until she thought the tremors would never end. Finally, she wilted. Derek’s cock pulsed and twitched deep in her pussy as he found his release.

“I have never been fucked like that before. Thank you.”

Derek chuckled, smoothing damp hair off her forehead. “So let me get this straight, it was as good for you as it was for me?”

She smiled.

Two days later, Derek walked into the
Unique
Art
Gallery
carrying a bag from Max’s Cafe. Fran wore jeans and a sweatshirt as she packed art work sold over the weekend. “It looks like the opening went well.”

“It did. I’m very pleased,” she answered.

“Want some lunch? I brought a couple of sandwiches and chips.”

“Big spender, are we?” Fran finished taping a box shut before looking up. “You’re in a suit. How can this be? I didn’t think you owned anything but jeans.” Her eyes swept down his body and back up. “Damn. You look good. It’s a wonder some woman didn’t kidnap you on your way over here.”

“Many tried,” he said flashing a self-deprecating smile.

“Right. By the way how did it go with that woman, Cynthia? I think that’s the first girl I’ve seen you leave with after an opening. At least one you’d just met.”

Derek avoided her gaze. “We started for Starbucks but she mentioned she’d like to see more of my work. So we, uh, went to the studio for coffee.”

Fran dropped the roll of tape. “
You didn’t
!”

“I don’t know what got into me. You know I never pick up women, but with her it just seemed right.”

Fran quirked her brows. “Let’s go in the back. I’m ready for that sandwich, and to hear all about your evening.”

She brought two sodas to the work table and sat across from Derek. He opened his ham and cheese and waited for the questions he knew she had ready.

Fran said, “She seemed nice. Not like most of the women who usually hit on you.”

“I beg your pardon,” Derek said. “The women who usually hit on me are nice.”

“You think
all
women are nice.”

He laughed. “Not hardly.”

“Well, I’m surprised she went back to your studio. Lucky for you she was here early. She had a tear in her eye after looking at your work. It was like she identified with the slave girl and felt her feeling of helplessness. I have some orders for commissions because of her reaction.”

“Wow.” Derek was impressed and showed it. “Aside from the paintings, I think we connected. She was like an old friend. It never occurred to me to take time to get acquainted.”

“How late did she stay?”

“Until about eleven—” he cast a side-ways glance, “—yesterday morning.”

“She spent the
night
?”

“She said she’d never gone home with a stranger in her life. I guess we were both ready for something. And it was more than ‘something,’ believe me.”

Fran held her hands over her ears. “More than I want to know.”

Derek laughed. “Like I believe that. But that’s all I’m telling you anyway.”

She sniffed her disbelief then went back to eating. “I talked to her a little the other night. She’s a business woman, certainly not a groupie. You better watch out, she might still be the marrying type.”

“As good as we were together, I got the impression she was just out for a good time and doesn’t care to see me again. You know, she may have just used my body for a night.”

“Well, well. It’s nice to see a man in that position for a change.”

“Don’t talk dirty to me, Fran.” She burst into laughter and Derek smiled. “If a good looking woman wants to treat me as a sex toy, I guess I’m happy to serve. But your amusement isn’t why I came by. I came to see if you had anything on her. Like the check she gave you. Did it have her address?”

“I’m afraid it’s already gone to the bank but I have her delivery address. Would you like that?” She tapped her finger against her chin and smiled sweetly. “Oh, I forgot, that’s privileged information. You know, customer confidentiality.”

“You’re going to make me rip this place apart?”

“Since you put it that way, you might be interested in that box over there, with ‘Cynthia’ written on it.”

Derek found the box, took out a pad and pen and started writing. “Thanks. I’m thinking about taking her with me to Monterey when I go down to see Peter Slayton. He’s interested in some paintings for a decorating job he has up the coast.”

“Are you taking your boat?”

“Yeah. If she’ll go with me, it’ll give us some time to get to know each other.”

Fran laughed. “Real well, I imagine.” She shook her head. “As much as I like you, Derek, I’m not at all sure she should go on that trip with you.”

Derek grinned back, full of confidence. “I know. But she will.”

Chapter 2

Thia sat in a corner office of C&H Accounting, the firm she owned, staring out the northeast window. The lights of Sausalito and black humps across the bay soon would be revealed as green mountains and hillside houses as the rising sun dispersed the darkness.

Grit filled her eyes from staring at the balance sheets for hours already, and the taste of coffee lingered, stale in her mouth. For a couple of months, customer accounts had been secretly and illegally adjusted. Not in large amounts and always with the corresponding entry, so for every credit there was a debit. She had accidentally discovered the problem in a cursory examination of the overnight transactions, and since than had had her software and hardware validated and re-validated in an effort to find the problem before an auditor did. An investigation could shut her down.

This was the third problem that had plagued the firm since her husband died in a plane crash almost a year ago. The first incident was made to look like out and out theft from a client’s account. She had engaged in lots of soothing and an expensive outside audit to prove no money had been taken. Although the client was satisfied, he’d still changed accounting firms, costing C&H a lot of money.

The second problem happened weeks later, when one of her client’s books was trashed and the backup corrupted. Thia had paid huge bonuses to two top forensic accountants to reproduce the records. It was because of that client, and an effort to keep them happy that Thia discovered the current problem.

The transfers didn’t happen every night, but since she’d first discovered them, they had occurred several times. Last night, she had reached another standstill in discovering what was happening in her own company, which brought the day she would lose the business ever closer. All it would take was an outside audit. Accounting was a business of numbers, but also of trust. Once trust evaporated, it rarely returned.

In frustration and fatigue, she crossed her arms on her desk and laid her head down. In seconds she was out.

Something—foot steps?—woke her, and she slowly sat up. A soft black cloth covered her eyes and a voice said, “Don’t turn around. Be a good girl and do as you are told.”

Thia froze in fright. “Who’s there?”

“Don’t talk. Just do as I say and nothing bad will happen.”

“People will be coming in soon.”

“We have plenty of time. Now, don’t say another word or I will have to punish you.”

The knot in the cloth tightened behind her head. She raised her arms to remove the blindfold when large hands stopped her. “Stand up and leave your arms at your sides.”

She did as she was told—what else could she do since she was alone in the office? As she stood, she began to formulate a plan of attack. Then she caught something, a whiff of after shave or shampoo. Something familiar.
