Loving you now and forever,

Acknowledgements

Second Chances was a true leap of faith not just for us but for our families and friends who supported, encouraged, inspired, and spurred us on through the four long years it took to complete this journey. ‘Thanks’ isn’t nearly enough to express how much we appreciate you and what you’ve given us. From Santas Martha and Debbie who gave us some of our first writing tools to Patti who dared to read and critique what no one had before, to Carson our technology guru whose talents brought us to life online, the list is too long to name them all but we hope you know who you are and that we couldn’t have done this without you.

We’d be remiss—not to mention dead—if we didn’t give a special shout out to our loving husbands and sons. On days when the testosterone levels threaten to overwhelm the home front, we simply remember all of your love, support, and sacrifice, and our sanity is once again restored. You’re the best. We love you.

About the Authors

Often mistaken for sisters, Leigh and Victoria consider themselves twins from different mothers. They met on the sidelines of their sons’ baseball games and quickly bonded over books, baseball politics, and Mrs. Brown’s ‘famous chocolate chip cookies’. Not surprisingly, their decision to write a book together also came about over a pizza dinner and they’ve been sharing a love for writing and eating ever since.

This is their first literary collaboration. Learn more about them by visiting their website http://browncorlissbooks.wix.com/secondchances

and look for their second novel,
The Pie Sisters
, coming in 2014.

Leigh and Victoria both live with their families in Rhode Island.
