I barely get Kip to the bedroom and push him back on the bed. He spreads out like a king patting the bed. He peeks up when I peel my clothes off. I crawl up on the bed and straddle his middle, lifting the hem of his shirt. He helps pull it over his head.
I trace my name mixed across his chest. It’s in a beautiful script nestled among his other tattoos. It begins with angel wings and ends with angel wings representing our sweet angels in heaven.
“I love you, Kip.”
“I love you, too, Mrs. Parker.”
It feels good to smile.
