Chapter 8

The first half of the game was incredible. Jordan was once again, leading the team to victory. This game was much more special than any other for me. This time, I actually knew one of the players personally, and he was in fact, the best player of them all. So far, he had made 6 catches, for 120 receiving yards. Who knows what he’ll do for the second half of the game!

I was on cloud nine. This night had me in its clutches. As Lil and I cheered on, we grew closer. It was fairly clear that we could be genuinely good friends someday. This was the time of my life.

Half time began and we continued in conversation about how I had met Jordan, and how well I knew him.

“We just met yesterday,” I said. And I explained how we met, as Brian and Travis took a stroll around the stadium to stretch their legs.

“Yesterday?” Lil replied. “That’s so funny! Jordan has been talking about you all day. We assumed that you had known each other for a while.”

I was taken aback, a little. I wondered how Jordan must have felt about me. It was hard to imagine that he would have already told his family about me–or that he would speak so highly of me. After all, we had really just met. Not to say that I wasn’t really elated about meeting him too, it’s just that things don’t normally move so quickly in my relationships.

As the second half began, we were certain that Jordan would be starting. But, he wasn’t on the field. Lil and I became concerned and began scanning the sidelines for him. He was nowhere to be found. I told Lil to stay put, and I’d go look for him. This was very unusual. No announcements had been made concerning any injuries, so there really wasn’t a good reason why Jordan wouldn’t be out there on the field.

Just then, Lil picked up her cell-phone. It was Jordan. Apparently, there had been an announcement in the locker-room during halftime. Jordan’s best friend had been involved in a car accident on his way to the game. The injuries were severe, and his friend was on life-support. Lil informed me that Jordan was very upset, and wanted to apologize, but he simply wouldn’t be able to spend time with me after the game.

I wasn’t sure what to do. Part of me wanted to go to the hospital to be with him, while the other part of me just said to give him space to be with his friend.

“Lil, what do you think? Should I go to the hospital to see how he’s doing, or is it really something I should leave him alone to do? Maybe you should give me his phone number. I’ll give him a call first”

“I would think that he’d like to have you there. Like I said earlier, I think he really likes you. He talked all day about you. Just go!” Lil texted me his phone number and I left them alone, as they began to pack up their belongings to join us at the hospital.

I quickly asked directions, and made my way out to the parking lot–headed directly to the hospital. As I drove out of the lot, I began to think twice about what I was doing. Would Jordan really want me there? I mean, we had just met, and I doubt that he’d want for me to see him like this over his friend.

…That’s it. I just can’t do it. I’m not going to get in his way, I thought. I’ll just head home and call him tomorrow to see how things are going. I felt sorry for him, but just didn’t feel like he would accept my barging in at a time like this.

Chapter 9

The following morning, I called Jordan. I had prepared myself for how I would empathize with him, and wish his friend the best. No answer… I left two messages over the span of a couple of hours, but Jordan never picked up. “It’s because he’s at the hospital,” I thought. Everyone knows that you aren’t supposed to have your cell-phone turned on at the hospital.

I waited impatiently for Jordan to call me that day. After all, Lil had my phone number, and surely she’d have passed it on to him. Still nothing… Two more days had passed, and I had left Jordan several more phone messages, in hopes that he would answer. “Whatever I thought we might have had between us, must be over,” I thought.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from dating, never label the first date as positive, or negative. It’s typically, the first date, where you find out if you’re even remotely attracted to each other. The following dates, if applicable, are when you get to know more about the other person, and make the choice of whether or not you’re willing to take it any further. That’s why I was confused this time, with Jordan. I mean, I KNOW that I like him a lot, but how could I know if he cares enough to even want to see me again. He’s got girls all over the campus drooling over him every day.

Chapter 10

Three weeks had passed since I’d last seen Jordan. No phone calls, and no chance of tracking him down to talk. The last school game was played out of town, and I could have made the trip to surprise him, but I just wasn’t sure how he’d react.

My life was back to the norm. Celine and I still hung out together, and would go out dancing on Thursday nights at a local club downtown. But, our conversation about my time with Jordan had fizzled out, and it was time to move on. I had seriously fallen for this guy, but I didn’t want to be one of those friends that keep dwelling on my problems–like crying on Celine’s shoulder. She had a boyfriend whom she spent most weekends with, and I generally would just hang around the student union on Saturdays.

I checked the game schedule to see when the next home game would be–it was this coming Saturday. I never miss a home game, and I wasn’t about to start. Besides, Jordan would never see me if I were to show up at the stadium, and I would be able to admire him from a distance. God, I missed talking to him.

Friday afternoon, I made my way to my 2:30 physics class. As I passed the library, I ran into one of Jordan’s buddies that he was playing catch with on the first day we met. It occurred to me, that he was the “dickhead”… the one that questioned me about knowing who Jordan is, and about my familiarity of the game.

“Hi,” I said. “Remember me? I was the on the park bench when your buddy, Jordan, about smacked into me.”

“Oh, hey, how are you? Haven’t seen you around much. Have you had a chance to apologize to my bro?”

“You mean Jordan? Apologize? For what?”

“Are you serious?” he said. “You burned that dude. He told me how you were a no-show at the hospital when Chase almost lost his life. He was really pissed. Why didn’t you show up?”

“Oh man! I didn’t think he would want me there. I mean, we don’t really know each other all that well–I thought he’d just want to be alone. Boy, do I feel terrible!”

“Well, you should. Jordan rarely gets serious about girls, but I think he had a special interest in you. He still mentions you, now and again. You should call him, you know.”

“I have called him several times but he won’t return my calls. I’m not sure what to do about this.”

“I’m so glad you said that. Come to the game tomorrow, and surprise him. If you want, I can pick you up and take you through the back gate. Me and the boys get free passes.”

“You’re awesome. I don’t even know your name, but thank you so much.”

“Name’s Chris. I’ll meet you right here tomorrow at 4:00 pm. Got it?”

“Yea, I’ve got it. Thanks Chris. I’m Jess, by the way.”

“I know, I know I’ve heard your name plenty these past few days. See you here tomorrow.”

Chapter 11

The following day, I spent excited, wondering what I would say to apologize to Jordan. It was difficult for me. I had spent the past few weeks thinking that I’d just been dropped by this bad boy football jock, when all of the time, he was thinking that I had failed him. I wasn’t sure how to handle our upcoming conversation, or if he would even speak at all.

I met with Chris, and we made our way to the game. The anticipation was unbearable. I was a wreck. How would I approach Jordan? How would I explain to him why I didn’t follow him to the hospital when he needed me? Shit–this was a rough day.

As Chris and I arrived at the gate, we spotted Jordan. He was not yet in uniform, and was standing in a circle talking to a couple of the players and the assistant coach. “Hey! Look who I found,” Chris yelled out. All of the guys turned to look–Jordan quickly shifted his eyes away from me and pretended not to notice. I wanted to turn and run away, but Chris guided me directly into the group… right next to Jordan.

“Jordan, I’m so sorry… I…,” “Hey, long time no see. I’m not sure what you’re sorry for, but I’ve got a game to prepare for. Take it easy, maybe we’ll talk later.” He turned back to face the group of guys, as they were still looking my way.

He was short with me, and he was not interested in talking about it. I could see that he was hurt, and prepared to move on. Should I just walk away? It’s obvious that he cares for me, or he wouldn’t act this way. I was in the wrong, and I knew it. He might not be willing to forgive me, but I’ve got to take the chance that he will.

“Stop!” I yelled. “Jordan I’m sorry that I didn’t follow you to the hospital at half-time. I just didn’t think it would be the right thing to do. I thought you might have needed this time to be with your friend and your family, and that I would be in the way. I want…”

“In the way?” he said, raising his voice a little. I thought you would care… just a little about me! I thought you might want to be there to spend time and to comfort me. You were special, I thought. I guess I was wrong. But I really don’t need you now anyway. I’m getting along just fine without you in my life. See ya.”

“Alright buddy, that’s just not going to hack it with me. I DO care about you and I DO care about your friend. I made a mistake! But you could have answered my phone-calls so that I could have explained”.

All of this was happening in front of the assistant coach and the other players–but I didn’t care. This might be my only chance to talk to Jordan and explain myself. The players moved the circle over to distance themselves from me, and Jordan. They looked back as if to signal Jordan that it was time to get to the locker room and suit up.

“Jordan, I’m truly sorry. But you have to believe me. Although we haven’t spent much time together, I do care for you, and I want to get to know you better. Please! Give me another chance. Please?”

Jordan just stood and listened quietly as I went on to open up about my feelings for him, and that I’m sure I could make it up to him. As I went on, I noticed Chris giving Jordan a quick smile and wink as he walked away. I was beginning to think that Chris wasn’t such a dickhead, after all. He had really helped me out today.

“Jess, I guess I believe you. Sorry for jumping to conclusions. It’s just that I knew Lil had given you my number, so I thought you would have called me right away… but, it’s okay. Yes, let’s give ‘us’ another chance. But hey, I’ve GOT to get ready to play,” he said, while slowly looking me up and down. It was as if he missed seeing me. It felt so good to see him looking at me again, and boy, did I like looking at him. He gave me an obvious signal that we’d be spending time together after the game.

“Do you know where to find me?” I said.

“Yeah, you’ll be sitting by Chris and the others. See you at half-time”.

I sat with Chris, Lil, and a few others as we talked about the whole ordeal before kickoff. “I don’t think you understand, Jess,” Lil said. “Jordan really likes you a lot. He hasn’t had a steady girlfriend in years. You’re very special to him.” “Years? He hasn’t had a girlfriend in years? How could such a perfect man not be attached to one of these hot babe cheerleaders, or someone?” I asked.

“He’s not the ‘bad boy’ that people make him out to be. He’s just a nice looking guy with some serious skills on the field. People like to do that–you know, fantasize about what they think he might be like, and then spread rumors. You really need to get to know him… and I’m sure you will,” Lil said with a reassuring smile.

The first half of the game was intense. Jordan was really working the ball–but the other team was very good. It was neck-and-neck at the end of the second quarter. I about peed my pants as I cheered my studly man on.

Chapter 12

Half time sounded, and Lil’s cell-phone rang a couple of minutes later. “It’s Jordan. He wants to talk to you.”

“Hello?” I answered. “Meet me behind the stadium. Go through the blue gate, and give the guard this pass-code to get in–he’ll know you’re with me. ‘Jess is best’.

“What? Jess is best? Are you shitting me? Ha ha, okay. But what’s up?”

“Just do it,” Jordan said. “I’ll be waiting for you.”

I made my way back to the blue gate and felt a little foolish as I looked at the guard and gave him the password. To my surprise, he smiled, nodded his head, and turned to the side, allowing me to pass through.

There was Jordan, still dripping wet from the game. His face lit up in excitement as he saw me approach. He held out his hand to beacon me to him as he eagerly grinned from ear-to-ear. His eyes made me feel the need to rush my last couple of steps to him as he grabbed my hand and pulled me in close. I could feel his muscles tense as he drew me close and began to walk me. He made me feel so incredibly safe as he almost smuggled me through a couple of small groups of people. We made our way through a door labeled ‘private entry’ at the back of the stadium. I was feeling a little scarred, yet turned on at the same time. This was going to be naughty, I thought–and that really excited me.

“Jordan, what if someone walks in on us?” I asked.

“Fuck it. I’ve never felt anything like this,” Jordan said. “I want you so badly right now, like I’ve never wanted anything or anyone before. No, I NEED you right now,” he said. “No one is going to walk in on us, I’ll make sure of that.”

The smell of his body was intoxicating and his untamed and animalistic energy immediately excited me to no end. My heart began to race with anticipation of what was coming and I already felt myself begin to moisten.

The room we entered was small, and served as a room to store blankets, fan cups, padding seating, and such that were distributed by vendors.

No words were spoken as Jordan frantically stripped me of my clothing, until I was naked from the waist up and lay me gently onto a leather couch. He looked at me in the dim light streaming through a crack in the door, like someone who needed me. He pulled at the bottom to my jeans–pulling them down and making me lift up to let him retrieve them from beneath. He tossed them aside and ran his hands lightly up the inside of my thighs, until his fingers were meeting at the crotch of my panties.

“Jess, there’s something about you that makes me putty in your hands. For the past several weeks I’ve been thinking about you continuously. I was hurt when you didn’t show up at the hospital, but right now I am so relieved and excited to know that you’re just the person I thought you were.”

Before I could speak, he pushed my breasts together, licked each one of them lightly and straddled me, while peeling off his shirt.
His body was everything I dreamt it would be. I arched my chest, feeling taken over, while he stripped me of my dainty red panties. (I put them on just so that I could seduce him after the game).

He was in too much of a hurry and maybe that was a good thing. He was already unzipped. Just one squeeze with my fingers and he groaned in response, while humping forward to thrust on my fist. I let him do that for just a moment, watching, as his body was now being controlled by my impulses. He moved forward, until my hands could grip his pants and pull them down, as he awkwardly moved to let me have my way with him. I stroked him a few more times and then I laid him heavily in between my full round breasts.

I let him use my cleavage, as a tunnel. “Having a woman like you… oh yeah… that feels, so damned good…is like a dream come true.” I had folded my breasts around him, allowing him to have that sweet tightness. He moved as he started to sweat profusely. Oh, his beautiful erection – it was perfect. Every time that it emerged from my valley of breasts, I was right there with my tongue. I knew that that was the most sensitive part on a man and I was going to use that to please him. “Come on… don’t you dare go off like this. I’m enjoying this, but there is, so much more that we can do!” It looked like he was too far gone to give a damn, but with a firm hand wrapped around the base, I was able let him know that things were not going to go that far.

He looked a little disappointed, as he started to move down with my hand pressing on his chest to indicate where I really wanted him to go. He stopped for a few minutes to make me squirm to his touch and to the feel of his tongue. He had me begging for relief.

I spread my legs as an invitation, and I welcomed him in. I had him pressed up against me and I could feel his hot body covering me like a protector. I was biting my bottom lip, staring him in the eyes as I watched his face change expression in a matter of seconds.

He breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth to try to calm himself. It was an effort in futility, as I let his inches slowly sink into me, until they were hidden.

The feel of him inside me was euphoric. It felt like he was my own personal drug. This kind of pleasure was something that only fairy tales were made of.

“I wrapped my legs around him, locking my ankles and then suddenly he was deeply inside me and almost quivering. It wasn’t the “loving” kind of making love. This was more spontaneous, out of control and we really did give the couch a workout. I only briefly wondered if anyone outside could hear us. I felt all of him, and every time he pulled back, I was left with the sense of emptiness that had to be filled immediately.

“You have no idea what you are… doing to me.” I suddenly found myself pounding on his backside with the drum of my heels striking against his bare skin. This only fueled him onto a greater urgency.

My orgasm was one that made me close my eyes. I could feel the presence of his own orgasmic pleasure. It was a good thing that he was in shape, or I don’t think that he would’ve been able to stay in this kind of position for long. It took a lot of effort on his legs and those muscles were pronounced. Gosh, I hoped he would be able to play ball for the second half!

This was the kind of sex that I had been waiting for and never thought possible. He was the kind of guy that I, would get down on one knee to ask to marry me - and not the other way around. It actually made me smile, even though at the moment my heart was beating two times faster than normal and my skin was covered in perspiration. It was over in a few moments.

We didn’t have time to bask in the afterglow, as we dressed quickly and slipped back into the small crowd.

“I could really use a drink, and for the first time in my life, I could really use a smoke.” I hadn’t indulged in nicotine in over 10 years. However, after a moment like that, it was pretty much needed. But, I wasn’t going to go down that road again. I need to keep myself in shape for this guy.

Jordan was walking a little bow legged as we made our way back to the gate. But after fucking me like that, I had to give him credit for being able to walk!

We stopped at the gate, and I caught another smile from the guard. Jordan looked into my eyes with a genuine look of love.

“I’m in love Jess. I am going back onto that field and kick some serious ass. Thinking about you and what I had planned for this halftime, was very distracting for me during the first half,” he chuckled. “But, I’m feeling very strong now, and I am going to show you how we get the job done around here. I’ll meet you after we shower. And we’re going to celebrate tonight. I’ve missed you.”

He gave me the most tender and heartfelt kiss on the mouth that I’ve ever had. This guy loves me, and at this moment, I realize how much I love him.

“Jordan!” I yelled, as he began to walk away. “I love you. I’m going to want kids someday, you know!”

He turned back to me and smiled a smile I will never forget. We made eye contact as the stadium lights shadowed us on the lawn.

“Jess, we’re going to have everything we’ve ever wanted. The Patriot recruiter has offered me a job with the best fucking team on the planet, and I’ve accepted. You and I could not have happened at a better time, sweetheart. I love you too.”
