Mark
When Mark realized what he wanted to do, at first it terrified him. It wasn't something that he'd ever considered, not seriously. Why let himself get tied down when he was one of the most sought after rock stars in the world? When he could easily have a different person warming his bed every night of the year?
Well, if he was going to do this, he was going to do it right. And he was going to do this. Ever since the idea came into his head, he hadn't been able to let go of it. The fact that it was insane only added to the allure for him.
Romance wasn't what he was usually all about, but he could tell that Gavin had a deeply romantic heart. He wanted the younger man to say yes, after all, so he threw himself into planning the most sweet, romantic date that he possibly could.
It was one of the few nights that they didn't have a show, so he had options. As he planned it out, he couldn't help but smile to himself. This was going to be a night to remember.
First, he dressed up. Not in a suit, that wasn't his style. But he did wear a dress shirt and even a tie, and tugged his unruly mass of blond curls into a ponytail.
“What're you doing, darlin'?” Gavin asked, peering around the bathroom door to look at him. Mark smirked. He was still a bit of a sadist, as it turned out. He hadn't even warned Gavin what was coming.
“You'd better get dressed, baby,” he answered, turning to look at him, a challenge in his eyes. “We're going to be late.”
The questions were clearly bubbling in Gavin's mind, but Mark wasn't going to tell him anything. The younger man seemed to realize that, because he gave Mark a searching look and then turned away to get dressed while Mark watched and enjoyed the view, trying to tell himself he wasn't at all nervous about tonight.
God, what if Gavin said no?
Once Gavin was dressed, Mark wrapped an arm around his waist. He tugged him out of the room and to the waiting limo, which was, for once, not taking them to a show.
Mark was quiet, though he kept his arm around Gavin. Still, he could tell the younger man was worrying. What was this all about? Well, he'd find out soon enough.
“Do I get to know where we're going?” Gavin finally asked, obviously not able to restrain himself any longer.
Mark laughed, pressing a kiss to the top of Gavin's head.
“You'll know when we get there,” he teased lightly, and Gavin had to be content with that.
The limo pulled up in front of a restaurant. The nicest restaurant in town, at least according to the search that Mark had done online. With his heart pounding in his chest, Mark got out of the limo, taking Gavin's hand in his.
At first, the younger man stiffened up. They were in public! Just when Mark was about to have some mercy and let the younger man go, two girls walked down the street, wrapped around each other, clearly more than just friends.
Mark smiled. He couldn't have had that happen more perfectly if he'd planned it. That was San Francisco, though.
“You're taking me on a date,” Gavin realized, and Mark smiled. He let him think that. It wasn't even inaccurate, just not the whole story. So he just nodded and led him into the restaurant.
Honestly, the whole time he was there, he barely tasted the food. It was exquisite, Pan-Asian fusion, but he was getting more and more nervous as the minutes passed. Could he really make himself do this?
After dinner, in which Gavin talked and Mark watched him, it was show time. The most important show of his life, he was pretty sure.
The restaurant was along the waterfront, and once more, Mark took Gavin's hand. He tugged him gently, but insistently, past the limo, which would wait there for as long as they needed. Across the street there was a seawall, with stairs down to the beach, which was where Mark led him.
It was late enough in the fall that there was a chill in the air even here, and Mark wrapped his arm around Gavin as he looked around. Was this romantic enough? To his eyes, jaded as they were, he thought so. The sand, the sea, the fresh breeze off the water, even he found it beautiful.
“Gavin, I need to ask you something,” he said, and right then, a big, fat drop of water landed on his face. It was followed by another, and another, as the clouds that had been threatening to open up and spill water over the city finally did.
Gavin laughed, rubbing droplets of water out of his face as the sky, so benign only a few moments ago, dumped buckets of rain all over them both.
Mark panicked. This was his chance. He could so easily just walk away from this, take this as a sign. He could let this moment pass, as was probably the sane thing to do. Gavin was already turning away, intending to go back onto the seawall and to their car.
So Mark did the only thing that he could do. The only thing his heart would let him do. Because he couldn't just walk away from this, no matter how crazy it was for him to be thinking of this.
Reaching out, Mark grabbed Gavin's wrist, pulling him back to look at him. Before he could think about it too much, before he could change his mind, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the gold ring that he'd bought earlier that very day.
He'd thought about writing some sort of speech, but in the end, he hadn't. He'd decided that he would say whatever he said, he'd come up with the words on the spot. How hard could it be?
Pretty damn hard, as it turned out. Looking into those inquisitive brown eyes, Mark found that he couldn't make a single word come to mind. He was never at a loss for words, but there was a first time for everything.
What could he do but what he did? He raised the ring up, holding it up so that Gavin could see it. Right there, in the rain, he offered it to him, though he flatly refused to go down on one knee into the wet sand. There were limits.
Gavin's eyes focused on the ring, and then widened. He reached out to touch it, then looked back at Mark.
“Does this mean what I think it does?” Gavin asked, and Mark found that he couldn't quite read his tone. That didn't exactly help with his nerves, but he spoke anyway.
“Yeah. I said forever,” Mark pointed out. “That's what I want. Is it what you want?”
He was going to say no, wasn't he? Mark's heart was pounding in his chest so hard that he thought it might beat right through his ribcage, but just as he was about to lower the ring and try to figure out a way to get out of this awkward situation, he felt the golden band being taken from his hand and watched as Gavin slid the ring onto his left ring finger.
“Yeah, darlin', I'll marry you,” Gavin said, and then wrapped his arms around Mark and pulled him close. For the first time in his life, Mark had the highly romantic experience of being kissed by his lover, now his fiance, in the rain.

Later, back at the hotel room, Mark watched as Gavin slowly stripped off every last piece of soaked clothing until he was completely bare for him. He was so beautiful, slender and toned and tight, and Mark knew he would never get tired of looking at him.
“Are you sure, baby?” he asked again. He wanted to make sure this was what his fiance really wanted. He knew that he himself wanted it badly, how could he not? But this was Gavin's first time, and he wanted it to be perfect for him.
Gavin smiled and nodded, then lay back on the bed in the most blatantly provocative pose that Mark had ever seen. How was it even fair that a virgin could be this sexy, anyway?
“I know you'll make it good,” Gavin admitted, and then gestured at Mark. “Take those wet clothes off and come to bed, darlin'.”
Mark had been told considerably more than twice, at this point. So he smirked a little, had his clothing off in record time, and hopped onto the bed. His damp skin slid over Gavin's, both of them chilly from the rain.
They warmed up quickly, though. Mark groaned as Gavin's hands were all over him, toying with his nipples, teasing his cock until it hardened fully. Gavin had gotten to know his body so well in such a short time, and Mark was soon crazy for him.
Still, he took his time. He kissed Gavin, he touched him back. He did his best to drive the younger man even half as crazy as Gavin drove him on a regular basis. When Mark finally took him, he wanted Gavin to moan and writhe and cling to him, he wanted to give him pleasure like no one else ever had, or ever would.
“Mark, darlin', please,” Gavin finally gasped, and Mark knew that his lover, his beautiful fiance, was ready. He grabbed a bottle of lube that he'd left conveniently close, just in case. He'd wanted this for what felt like forever.
Slipping down between Gavin's legs, spread wide as they were, Mark dribbled the slippery lube on his fingers. Gently, he eased one in, hissing at the tightness that surrounded him. Even if Gavin hadn't told him, he would have known that the young man was a virgin, just by how hot and tight he was around even that one finger.
Mark's dick and balls throbbed between his legs, desperate to be buried inside the man he loved. He ignored it for one of the only times in his life. Instead, he worked his finger inside him, the lube making him slip easily inside. One finger, and then two, he pressed inside him, thrusting slowly until he found his lover’s prostate and then rubbing directly against it.
“I love you,” Gavin gasped, his face contorted with pleasure. “I need you now, Mark, please!”
That was music to Mark's ears. He growled softly, then quickly slicked his own cock with the lube. Shifting on top of Gavin, he leaned down to kiss him.
“Hold on to me, baby,” he encouraged, and then he positioned himself against that tight, virgin hole. Slowly, carefully, he pressed forward, and the head of his cock started to sink into the younger man.
He heard Gavin's cry of pain, and reached down to wrap his hand reassuringly around the young man's cock. Stroking him carefully, he kept pushing inside him, trying to take his mind off the pain and focus it fully on the pleasure.
Slowly, the noises that Gavin made changed. The young man started to move under him, moaning softly, his hands clutching onto Mark's shoulders. They moved together with perfect rhythm, like those who have been lovers for years, not just weeks.
“Mark, I'm gonna come for you,” Gavin moaned, and indeed, his body was tense and tight, his muscles tensed, his eyes bright with pleasure. “Gonna come so hard, baby.”
“Good,” Mark growled. “Together, then.” That seemed fitting, for this very first time that he was inside Gavin. The first of many, he very much hoped.
Taking Gavin's wrists, he pinned them above the young man's head, holding him down, his hips thrusting faster, deeper, his cock plunging in and out of him more desperately now.
“Mine,” he growled, and he saw the pleasure take Gavin over. He saw it contort his face, and then he felt his ass clench impossibly tight around him. He felt the hot splash of his come all over his hand.
That was all Mark needed. He groaned and then he was coming, too, and for the very first time, he shot that tight ass full. He made him his, just like he had when he put that ring on his finger. Just like he would every day for the rest of his life.
“Yours,” Gavin admitted, gazing up at him.
Oh, yes. Gavin was Mark's, and forever was the only way he was willing to go with him.
Forever and ever.
