She took a shower and got dressed before she walked out of her room. She felt that the room had been a little wasteful, since she never got to use the hot tub. As she walked to the motel parking lot, she could have sworn her eyes were playing tricks on her: her Valkyrie was gone and in its place, the Street 750 stood proudly. She smiled and shook her head when she remembered she had not written down his number before she took her shower. As she got on top of the Harley, she realized that Staling would have to wait. She needed to first make a quick detour to Oakland.
