“It would be wouldn’t it?” He placed the remaining piece of chocolate in her mouth. “Make sure you lick all the chocolate off my fingers, you wouldn’t want to waste it.”

She leaned forward and wrapped her mouth around the remaining piece of chocolate sucking his fingers in at the same time. She then took his hand and licked his fingers slowly making sure there were no traces of chocolate left. “More?” she asked.

He leaned back on his stool gazing at her with a thoughtful expression. “I’m not sure you’ve been good enough for two truffles.”

She was enjoying his game. “I think I have.”

“I have an idea,” he told her, sounding inspired.

“And what would that be?”

“If you take off your blouse, I’ll give you another truffle.”

She paused pretending to consider his suggestion. “Okay, but that seems like a steep price,” she said as she began unbuttoning her blouse revealing a light pink lacy bra. She shrugged out of the shirt and placed it on her stool behind her.

Placing the box of truffles on the island he pulled out another chocolate and held it up to her mouth once again.

She leaned forward and took one bite as she had before. She felt his other hand on her lace covered breast. He tweaked her nipple sharply with his thumb and forefinger while she chewed, causing her to moan. She closed her mouth over the remaining piece of truffle keeping his finger in her mouth as she concentrated on enjoying the taste of him and the rich chocolate combined.

“Did you want another one?” he asked after she had finished sucking all the chocolate from his fingers.

She nodded, a small smile played around her mouth.

“Then you’ll have to take off your bra.”

Her brows arched slightly at his request. “Are we playing
strip for truffles
?”

“Yes, it looks that way doesn’t it?’

“Why don’t you have to take off your clothes?”

“Because they’re
my
truffles,” he told her in a tone that said
duh!

Michaela unclasped her bra throwing it to the floor as she said, “Oh, well, I guess that makes sense.” She looked up to see Jordan staring at her breasts. He picked up a truffle and placed the entire piece in her mouth.

“Chew,” he said as he leaned down to her breast and began sucking on her nipple. His hands stroked her stomach while his mouth concentrated on her breasts.

She relished the feel of his mouth on her as she rolled the chocolate around on her tongue. It was a sensual overload of taste and touch. She placed her hands behind his head holding him close, not wanting the sensations to stop.

Jordan straightened and putting his lips to hers, his tongue swept through her mouth as if searching for any remains of the sweet treat. He pulled back and cocked his head. “Are you full or did you want another treat?”

“I want more,” she told him in a slightly breathless voice.

“I think you know the routine.”

“The skirt?”

He nodded solemnly. “The skirt.”

She reached behind her back unzipping her skirt and sliding it down her legs. She stood before him in her pink lace panties waiting for her reward. Her panties were soaked from their little game and she could feel the moisture beginning to run down her thighs.

He gave her an appreciative smile as he leaned down and picked up her skirt. He then placed it carefully on the stool with her blouse. He plucked another chocolate from the box and held it out to her. She quickly popped it into her mouth chewing in delight and then leaned forward kissing him while his hand slid beneath her panties to slowly stroke her sensitive nub.

A moan escaped her and she grasped his shoulders for support as he continued to tease her with his finger. She was so aroused she thought she might come, but he pulled back his hand and lifted his mouth from hers. She let out a whimper of protest.

“I think you’re wearing too many clothes Michaela.”

She pulled her panties down and stepped out of them.

“That’s much better,” he told her, “but now you can’t have any more truffles.” He let out a wry chuckle as he rotated his finger over her clit. He watched intently as if there were nothing more fascinating to him than his finger working her body. She looked down and watched him touch her and she felt herself begin to shiver and shudder as her body pulsed. Her knees were weak as she grabbed his shoulders, her sex gyrating against his hand giving into the overwhelming sensations. She gasped for breath and collapsed against his chest.

Jordan gently pushed her hair out of her face. “God, you’re beautiful when you come.”

“You still owe me a chocolate for the panties.”

Jordan burst out laughing. “Oh, I’ve got another treat for you,” he told her as he quickly shed his clothes revealing his straining erection. Michaela reached out her hand and began to stroke it firmly while she licked her lips. The sight was so erotic he was afraid he was going to come too soon. Pushing her to the floor he thrust into her with his very hard cock, his excitement having reached it limits.

She met his hard thrusts not even noticing the cold tiles against her back. She felt her excitement begin to grow as he stroked her vagina. Her body was rippling in response to his grinding movement and she felt the sensations build in her core pulsing once again as an orgasm ripped through her body. Jordan pulled out of her, moaning as he too climaxed spilling his sticky fluid over stomach.

He moved off of her and smiled apologetically. “Sorry, but I realized we weren’t using anything again. We gotta stop doing that.”

She shook her head and said wryly, “I started back on the pill yesterday, but it certainly hasn’t had time to have any effect. We’ve got to stop taking chances.”

“When did you have time to see the doctor?” he asked surprised.

“I didn’t. I picked up my existing prescription at the drug store at the mall. I still had a number of refills left that I hadn’t used after Noah and I split up.”

“So you stopped taking the pill after the two of you broke up?”

“It’s sort of a breakup ritual that women have.”

He arched a brow. “Ritual?”

She nodded. “We all do it. We break up and throw our birth control pills in the garbage because we never intend to have sex again.”

“Oh, that makes perfect sense. I see that’s worked well for you.”

“Hey, it always seems like a great idea at the time.”

Jordan snorted at that last response as he got up and grabbed a paper towel. He came back to her squatting down to clean up her stomach. “You know,” he said. “We haven’t been careful because we’re not that worried about the consequence.”

She sat up suddenly, feeling cold on the ceramic floor. It was funny how you never notice that type of thing when you’re caught up in the moment. She shot Jordan a mild glare before saying, “Jordan could you just take your foot off the freaking gas pedal. We slept together for the first time on Friday and now I’m living with you on Tuesday. Isn’t that fast enough for you? Could we not start family planning until say maybe next week?” she asked sarcastically.

“You only moved in because your house burned down,” he responded, his tone slightly defensive.

“Yes, but I’m here aren’t I? I could have moved in with my parents or even my brother.” God, why were they having this conversation now while they were naked on the kitchen floor?

He gave her a half smile. “Yeah, I guess you could have. Okay family planning can wait until next week.”

“Ha! That is so not funny, but you’re right about one thing.”

“Really and what’s that,” he asked definitely intrigued by the direct this conversation was taking.

“I’ve let you take chances because I’m not that concerned with the consequences,” she admitted.

He pulled her into his lap. “Oh Michaela, you’ve almost caught up to me,” he said with a satisfied smirk.

“Are you actually smirking?” she asked him.

“No, and you can’t prove it. Now let’s go upstairs. I think I’m ready for round two and the condoms are there.”

“There’s one more thing we need to get settled before we move to round two.”

“And what’s that?”

“You still owe me a chocolate.”

He gave a deep laugh as he picked her up and carried her upstairs.

Chapter Eighteen

The following morning they rode together to work in the back of the Bentley. Jordan insisted on staying with her until she was safely ensconced in her office.

“Don’t you usually drive yourself to work?” Michaela asked as she enjoyed the novelty of not having to worry about traffic. Really, she could get used to this kind of thing, she thought.

“I do, but I feel better knowing that you’re safe,” he told her while rubbing the inside of her palm with his thumb.

“You mean you don’t trust your driver slash bodyguard with my safety?” Her tone was dry and slightly amused. She noticed Paul’s grin in the mirror.

Jordan didn’t want to let her out of his sight. He wasn’t comfortable with this situation at all. His preference would be to keep her at home until this whole undercover operation was over. He and Gonzales were going to have a long talk as soon as he got to his office. He tugged at Michaela’s hand. “Why don’t we meet for lunch? Paul can pick me up and then we’ll swing by and get you.”

“Okay, that sounds good. Where are you taking me?”

He shrugged. “I don’t know yet. What do you feel like?”

“Surprise me,” she said with a grin. “I haven’t had enough of those lately.”

“Want to go to the billionaires club?”

“There’s a billionaires club?”

“God you’re easy. Of course there isn’t a billionaires club.”

Paul was just pulling up to the curb as she shook her head at him in mild disgust. “I don’t have time for your nonsense. Text me and let me know where we’re going.”

“I’m going to walk you up to your office,” he insisted.

“No you’re not, that’s a bit much.”

He pulled open the Bentley’s door getting out of the car ahead of her. She slid across the seat as he held out his hand to help her out of the car. “Just indulge me Michaela.”

She rolled her eyes. “Again with the indulging. Okay, I guess I can endure your company for five more minutes,” she said with a mock sigh.

Shooting her a mild glare, he put a possessive hand behind her back and walked her into the building. They reached the elevators and he quickly pushed the up button. When the doors opened he ushered her into the car.

She leaned in and pressed her floor number deciding to let Jordan be as protective as he wanted. After all, it was hard to stay irritated with someone who cared so much and who looked so hot. He was dressed in a gray suit, burgundy tie and a crisp white shirt. It was hard to believe she had put him the friend zone for so long. “What is going on in that curly top head of yours?” Jordan asked. “I can practically see smoke.”

“Just thinking about your layers,” she told him.

He arched his brows in an inquiring manner. “My layers?”

“Yeah, you know how there all those different Jordans and I’m never sure which one is the real you.”

The elevators doors opened, interrupting their conversation. Jordan leaned forward and kissed her. “Michaela, they’re all the real me. It’s that simple. I’ll be back at 12:30 to pick you up for lunch. If you need to leave the office call Paul and have him take you.”

Deciding it was best not to argue with him while he was in this over protective mood, she simply said, “Okay.” Feeling slightly bemused by his attitude she then turned and entered her accounting offices.

Shortly after dropping Michaela off at work, Jordan entered the headquarters of ECOM Works. His administrative assistant, Emma, greeted him with a smile. She was a young Filipino woman who was putting herself through school in computer science during the evening. She was hard working, bright and efficient. Jordan had no doubt he would be offering her a position more suited to her skills once she graduated.

“Good Morning, Mr. Marsh. Agent Gonzales called and would like you to call him back.”

“Thanks Emma, and please for the hundredth time can you call me Jordan.”

“I’ll try to remember Mr. Marsh, but it just doesn’t seem right. I mean you’re the CEO.”

“You have no problem with calling Trevor and Ian by their first names,” he reminded her.

“They’re not the CEO Mr. Marsh,” she said with a shrug as if that explained everything.

“I give up Emma,” he said with a shake of his head as he entered his office. He sat down at his desk and grabbed his phone immediately to return agent Gonzales’ call.

The agent picked up immediately. “Marsh, I see you got my message.”

“Yes, I did. Any good news for me? Like the investigation is over.”

“Well, we’re getting closer now that your brother has fed her fake programming code. She appears to have phoned whoever she’s working for, but unfortunately whoever is running this operation is using a disposable phone. So we weren’t able to identify her contact, but we’re getting close. We have her under constant surveillance, it’s only a matter of time now.”

“Are you still bringing in an undercover agent for the office?” Jordan asked.

“Yes, I went over that with your brother, Trevor. Agent Barrett coming in this morning and will be introduced to Joyce as a new hire in HR that she needs to train. That way they will spend a great deal of time together. Actually Barrett should be there now.”

“Okay, good. Look I need to confide in Michaela about this investigation. She needs to understand the whole picture now that she’s a target.”

Gonzales sighed over the phone. “Okay, I get it, but I want to be at this discussion when she’s briefed. I need to ensure that she understands that she can’t reveal anything about this investigation to anyone.”

“Look her brother is an FBI agent. I think she’ll get it,” Jordan said in a dry tone.

“Shit, who’s her brother?”

“Donovan Prentice.”

“Well, that explains why Prentice has left me several voice mails asking me to call him.”

“Why would Donovan be contacting you? He’s with Counter Terrorism. How could he possibly be aware of this investigation?”

“You’re dating his sister, right?” the special agent asked as if that explained everything.

“Yes.”

“And he knows that?”

“Well, yeah.”

“My guess is that Prentice went to do a background check on his sister’s boyfriend. Your file has been red flagged because you’re involved in this investigation which means Prentice couldn’t access any in depth information without going through me. He’s probably shitting bricks thinking his sister is dating a criminal.”

“Oh that’s just fucking great,” Jordan said his voice filled with irritation. “I can’t believe he tried to do a background check on me.”

“Don’t let it bother you. I run checks on all of my sister’s boyfriends too.”

“How does your sister feel about that?’

The agent snorted. “Like I’d tell her that.”

“So could you let my future brother-in-law know that I’m not the subject of an FBI investigation? It would be a big help.”

“I’ll call him right away and let him know. So when are we going to meet with Michaela so I can brief her?”

“Today, I’m meeting her for lunch. I’ll pick her up and then we can meet somewhere.”

“Why don’t you come to the FBI offices so we can discuss this privately? We’re at One Center Plaza.”

“Okay, I’m picking Michaela up at 12:30. We should be there before 1:00.”

“See you then.”

Jordan hung up the phone and immediately sent Trevor an email asking if Agent Barrett had arrived yet. Things were becoming increasingly complicated, but he felt an incredible relief since Gonzales had agreed to inform Michaela about the undercover operation. Finally, he could stop feeling guilty about hiding this situation from her.

A pinging sound indicated he had a new email. It was from Trevor telling him that the new employee, Sam Barrett had started his day and was currently being trained by Joyce. Everything was going ahead as planned. Jordan then sent Ian an email updating his brother that the undercover agent had arrived today.

He got up from his chair and headed out of his office. He was going to meet this undercover agent. As he strode down the hall he watched his brother Ian emerge from his office.

Ian glanced in his direction and smiled. “Where are you off to?”

“To meet our new employee,” Jordan told him.

“Won’t that look suspicious if we both go?”

Jordan stopped in midstride. “Yeah, it’s going to look weird. Let’s pretend we’re just passing through on our way to a meeting in the boardroom.”

“Let’s say we’re going for a coffee instead. I mean we’re not even carrying any file folders or anything so I don’t think the boardroom story will fly. You know, I’m feeling very covert,” Ian said in a slightly hushed tone.

“I’m feeling like I need this woman in jail and out of our offices,” Jordan returned his tone also quiet. He certainly didn’t need the rest of the office overhearing this particular conversation. They continued down the hall on their way to Human Resources trying to appear casual and disinterested. They totally sucked as undercover operatives, Jordan thought.

As they turned the corner he spotted Joyce at her desk with a man sitting next to her. He appeared to be hanging on to her every word. When they reached Joyce’s desk, she looked up and smiled. She always wore a come fuck me smile, he used to think that was just for him, but he had come to realize that she shared that with everybody. Joyce was a stunning woman and she used that to her fullest advantage, but it hadn’t taken him long to realize that everything under the surface was superficial. Now when he looked at her, he didn’t find anything about her attractive and wondered how he ever did.

“Good morning, gentleman,” Joyce greeted the two of them. “This is our new HR Recruiter, Sam Barrett. Sam this is Jordan and Ian Marsh the company’s CEO and CFO.”

Jordan inclined his head. “Good to have you on board, Sam.”

“Welcome to the team, ECOM Works is always looking for hardworking talent,” Ian added.

“Thanks,” Sam said giving nothing away. “I’m thrilled at this opportunity.” He looked every bit the eager new employee.

“I see you’re shadowing with Joyce, stick close to her she knows the ropes inside and out,” Ian told him.

Joyce beamed under his praise. “Thank you, Ian. It’s so exciting for me to train a new employee. You know, it wasn’t that long ago that I was one myself.”

“Ian we should go grab that coffee, we’ve got a meeting with Trevor at ten this morning,” Jordan interjected.

“Oh yeah, right,” Ian said and then turned back to Joyce. “Why don’t you take Sam out to lunch and expense it to the company?”

“Thanks, Ian,” Joyce said with a smile.

“No problem,” he told her as he and Jordan went out into the hall to catch the elevator downstairs.

The two entered the elevator and Jordan leaned forward and pushed the button. “Why are we paying for the FBI agent to go to lunch?”

Ian shrugged. “I don’t know, it just seemed like the natural thing to say.”

“You’d make a shitty FBI agent.”

Ian looked offended. “You would too,” he returned.

Jordan arched his brow. “That’s your best come back?”

Ian ignored his question and said, “I guess we have to go to Starbucks now.”

Jordan sighed. “We’re sort of committed.”

“That was kind of a colossal waste of time, wasn’t it?”

“Yep, pretty much,” Jordan agreed.

Jordan spent the rest of the morning in his office trying to concentrate on work, but he found it difficult to focus. He was anxious to have that meeting with Gonzales and Michaela. He sat at his desk tapping his pen as he read over some of Ian’s latest financial reports. Things were looking good and the company was meeting their sales forecasts for the quarter. At twelve o’clock he practically dashed to the elevator. Paul was scheduled to meet him in front of the building so they could go pick up Michaela for lunch.

As he stepped into the elevator her heard Joyce’s voice. “Jordan, can you hold the elevator?” she asked.

He held the door as Joyce and Sam Barrett stepped in.

“Thanks,” she said using that slightly breathless tone.

He ignored her and turned to Sam. “So how’s your first day going?”

“Great sir,” Barrett said sounding like a nervous new employee talking to his boss.

“That’s good. I see you two are on your way to lunch.” The elevator doors opened and they walked out through the main lobby. The three made their way to the front doors of the building. Jordan could see the Bentley waiting by the front curb through the glass doors. As they exited the building, Jordan held the door open for the two of them.

As he let go of the door Joyce grabbed his arm and leaned close in an intimate manner. He could feel her breast brushing the side of his arm. She licked her lower lip before asking, “Won’t you join us for lunch. I’d love to have you.”

Jordan really wanted to roll his eyes at her blatant come on, but refrained. He was just about to tell her no when he looked up and saw Michaela climbing out of the Bentley. Their eyes locked and a look of disbelief and horror crossed her face as she took in the scene of Joyce pressed close to him, holding his arm.

Joyce must have noticed the direction of his gaze because she turned and looked toward Michaela. A satisfied smile came across her face. “Michaela, it’s so good to see you. See, I told you Jordan had forgiven me.”

Jordan couldn’t believe the words coming from the bitch’s mouth. He could literally see the pain on Michaela’s face. He felt like his world was closing in on him and his thoughts began to scramble trying to find a way to explain everything. What the fuck, he thought, she’s never going to believe me.
