“It is.” He let his gaze linger on her stunning profile for a heartbeat before turning his attention to the land.

“Hugh says you want to build the herd to sell. What does that involve?”

Riggs expelled a breath, touched that Hugh spoke of him at all. “Well, we’ve put a lot of money into one horse in particular. Her bloodlines can’t be traced to kings or even to top rodeo horses. But she’s a fine specimen. If we breed her with only the best, we hope to create a new line to be used in racing and jumping.”

Sibyll tilted her head, listening with interest. “How do you know which horses are best to breed with her?”

“Well, the genealogy is on record. However, we’re going to gather information about the horses we select—more info than which horse sired which. We want our horses to have a certain look to them.”

She sat up straighter and gathered her coffee into her hands again. “So genetics is going to play an even bigger part than just blood.”

He laughed. “Not sure about all that, but it sounds more advanced than what Hugh and I have come up with.”

A smile bowed up the corners of her lips. “It’s pretty advanced thinking, actually. Breeding for speed, agility, and even physical form, as well as coloration and distinct markings that would make a whole herd unique to this ranch.”

Riggs leaned forward, elbows on his knees and coffee between his hands. One sip of this swill had made his beard grow a quarter of an inch. But if he set it down, he might pull Sibyll into his lap.

“I read your file. Says you’re a molecular biologist.”

She gave an enthusiastic nod that made her pale hair slither over her shoulders. He distracted himself by taking another sip of his coffee, barely able to keep from wincing at the flavor.

“What exactly do you do?” he asked.

“I fiddle with information mostly. Create testing for pharmaceutical companies about the effects of drugs on humans and also animals.”

“So you gather the information about the human bodies other people play God with.”

“Yes, just as you want to do with the horses.”

They smiled at each other, the link between them undeniable. He finally dropped his gaze to the coal-black coffee he held. “You know, my mother was ill for a long time. First lupus then lots of kidney and heart problems from the disease.”

Sibyll leaned over the arm of the chair and rested a hand on his biceps. “I’m sorry to hear that.”

He scuffed his knuckles over his jaw. “I appreciate it. Anyway, sometimes the side effects of the drugs were much worse than the symptoms. And sometimes she took drugs to counteract the problems created by other drugs.”

Sibyll pursed her lips in a sympathetic expression. “It happens.”

After drawing another sip into his mouth, he could barely swallow it.

“Why are you trying to drink that coffee if it’s that bad?” Amusement danced in her eyes.

“You know, you’re right.” He set the cup down and leaned against the chair back, crossing his ankle over his knee. Several minutes passed between them in silence, but it was far from uncomfortable. The glazed look she’d worn from the wine dissipated, replaced by the calm face of an angel.

“Everyone has a struggle in life, it seems,” she said softly.

Riggs studied her. More than once he’d had a woman spill her history of heartbreak or abuse. It sometimes purged and the woman was able to move on. He had to tread carefully, but he had to know. “What’s yours?”

Sibyll shot him a long look. “Hugh thinks I can’t ask for the things I want.”

Electricity shot straight to Riggs’s fingertips. He clenched them. “And what do you want?” The sparks between their gazes were a phenomenon all their own. He’d only experienced such a thing with Hugh.

Setting aside her empty mug, she turned completely lucid eyes on Riggs. “I want that threesome. With you.”

Chapter Seven

Hugh eased the office door quietly closed behind him. The auxiliary light they kept on in the back room sent an orange glow over the space, but there was no sign of Holly.

He breathed a sigh of relief and circled the big desk, heading straight for the wall of files behind it. The files were categorized in several ways, cross-referencing kinks, sexual problems and even types of women. Holly was a pro at her job. When it came to matching women with the Boot Knockers, she was rarely wrong. While Hugh had the last say, he almost never questioned her decisions.

But with Sibyll, she’d been way off. Give her to Damian? Hell no.

However, after his latest failure with Sibyll, he had no choice but to research the job. He’d dined her, wined her and…well, he hadn’t sixty-nined her, because she was a master with her mouth, and he couldn’t risk losing control again. Instead he’d gone down on her, but she had failed to shoot into the stratosphere of pleasure.

So he’d left her half asleep with two glasses of wine in her system, and he’d retreated to the bathroom for a jack-off session that had lasted all of thirty seconds. Now he hoped to dig through files and find out which Boot Knocker had also handled a client who “failed to release.” Then Hugh would take that guy aside and get some advice.

The mere idea of him—Hugh Donovan, Master of Games, asking for help in the sex department made him grind his molars. But if he didn’t achieve their ultimate goal? He was so screwed, and not in a knee-buckling way.

He pulled a few files and spread them on the desk. Leaning over, he skimmed one, then the next. Other files occupied desk space, and one photo caught his eye.

The petite redhead assigned to Quay. One part of her file was circled in pink highlighter:
Would like to be with a woman someday.

Hugh’s mind worked the information over. The redhead was already with Quay, and typically the client information was filed after her arrival. So why did Holly have this open, and that client fact circled?

In all their time working together, Holly hadn’t shown interest in the cowboys.

Maybe she’s interested in the ladies.

Instantly his mind went to a naughty place, envisioning Holly and Sibyll entangled in ten different poses. Somehow that morphed into Riggs fucking Sibyll while she sucked Hugh in long, rhythmic pulls.

He shuddered, as hard as stone.

Quickly, he read three more files on other women with problems climaxing. Ty and Damian had worked with all of them.

“What’s so interesting in the files?”

Hugh jerked at the unexpected voice. He spun toward the back room, where Holly stood silhouetted in the dim light. “What are you doing here?”

“Putting away office supplies. We just got a shipment.” She came forward until he could see her suspicious expression. “Why are you working in the dark?”

He couldn’t let her know he was digging through the files to find a way to help Sibyll orgasm. He couldn’t let Holly know he hadn’t already
made
Sibyll orgasm.

“I didn’t want to bother with the lights. I just had a few things to look up. For the guys, you know.” He hastily closed the files he’d been perusing and replaced them in the giant file system.

Holly drifted to lean against the desk. Hugh looked at her closely. It wasn’t as if he’d never noticed she was pretty in a girl-next-door sort of way. He just hadn’t really
seen
her until now.

Now that he suspected she wanted a certain little redhead.

“Did you find what you were looking for?” she asked.

He nodded toward the open file with the pink circled text. “I think I did.”

Even in the dimness he caught her scorching blush. She dipped her head forward, hiding behind the sheet of straight brown hair.

Hugh pitched his voice low, confidential. “What is it about Ms. Lee you like?”

Holly met his stare, eyes pleading and open at once. “Everything,” she said breathlessly. “Look at her.”

“The red hair?”

A tortured nod. “Her body. And she has the sweetest disposition.”

Hugh squeezed Holly’s shoulder. “It says she wants a woman.”

“I know! I can hardly think of anything else. Hugh, don’t say anything. Please don’t tell. Quay—”

“Would be turned on as hell watching the two of you.”

“I couldn’t let him watch!” She blushed deeper.

Hugh rubbed her shoulder. “Let me do this for you, Holly. You work hard, and you deserve some play time too.”

She opened her mouth but nothing came out.

Patting her shoulder now, he said, “Let me make the arrangements. Think of it as a bonus.”

He released her and started toward the door.

“Hugh.”

He pivoted to see her standing in the ring of light, smiling like a kid with a bagful of Halloween candy. “Yeah?”

“Damian and Ty would be happy to offer advice.”

When he growled his displeasure at her knowing exactly why he’d been in the office, she laughed—a merry, carefree giggle that warmed him.

At least one of them was happy with the outcome of their meeting tonight.

God, she’d had way more wine than she’d thought. She had to still be drunk, even if she felt completely sober.

Asking Riggs for a threesome? How had she found the girl-nads to do that?

But asking Hugh was altogether different. For some reason she was worried about him believing she needed another cowboy. She recognized the look he wore after their sessions—her lack of release was slowly carving into his ego.

Since learning Hugh and Riggs were sometimes “together,” she couldn’t get the images out of her head. To say it turned her on was an understatement.

She stretched out on her bed. Hugh’s scents were all over the sheets, and she curled onto her side to smell the pillow where he’d lain. For the four millionth frustrated time in her life, she mulled over her reason for not reaching a climax.

Girls in high school had experimented with sex, and Sibyll had too—to no end. Then in college, she’d entered into a couple relationships, which ended once the guys realized she wasn’t coming.

You’re not that into me. Find someone else.

Those words still stung. She
had
been into her boyfriends, had longed to splinter around them.

In her early twenties, she’d ducked out of the dating game, hoping that finding herself would mean she’d eventually find her body’s happy place too.

But three more boyfriends hadn’t done the trick.

She inhaled deeply. Musk and fields—Hugh. He could be the one. He’d taken her closer than anyone else. She wanted it to be him.

And Riggs.

She longed to see them together. In the past she’d watched all kinds of porn while using various sex toys. Since she often watched males pleasuring each other, it shouldn’t surprise her that she wanted to watch these two cowboys together.

The strength in their movements, the sureness in the way they held themselves, both would translate in the bedroom. Just which man would take charge was a mystery though. Hugh and Riggs seemed equally matched.

Heat built between Sibyll’s thighs. Rolling onto her back, she slid a hand over her mound, down to the place Hugh had worked thoroughly with his tongue. He’d melted her into a puddle, but her stupid brain had taken over and drawn her from the moment.

She shimmied out of her jeans and unbuttoned her top until she could pull her breasts free, propping them on the fabric of her bra. After Hugh had left, she hadn’t bothered to put on panties, using him as inspiration.

Mmm, inspiration.
She slipped her fingers into her folds. In seconds she was wet and ready to ease a finger into her channel.

Hugh and Riggs flashed in her head, back and forth between them until she somehow melded them into one view. In one of the adult clips she’d watched, the men had rubbed their cocks together.

She threw her head back, fucking her fingers and rubbing her clit with the heel of her hand. Alternating between fantasies of Riggs and Hugh fisting their cocks together and the real-life memory of Hugh gliding inside her body, she tightened.

Need built in her core. She surged higher.

Focusing her mind on Riggs’s hard, straight lips, Hugh’s broad shoulders, she reached for that end she wanted so badly.

A scuffle at the door jerked her from her sexual haze. As she realized Hugh must be entering with his key, she launched off the bed and threw off the rest of her clothes so she didn’t look like a deranged person.

Who am I kidding? I paid good money to come to the Boot Knockers Ranch, where I can get fucked by a stranger while fantasizing about fucking two. I AM deranged.

“Sibyll?” He paused outside the door, which was partially open.

“Just a sec.” She jammed her arms into a plush white robe provided with the room. When the belt was tied, she looked up to see Hugh in the doorway. “You didn’t wait.”

His eyes hooded, and he crossed the room in long, predatory strides. “I’m not used to waiting.”

A shiver worked down her spine. She clutched her arms around her middle. The egotistical way he said it felt wrong and right all at once. She didn’t like the thought of him not waiting with another woman. But she loved how dominant he was.
