Lingerie had seemed too over the top,
oversized pajamas, not enough. She’d settled on pink penguins.

The sound filled her home again. A
deep groan shook her teeth in her head and made her stomach turn.

“It’s okay,” Charlie laughed touching
her hip.

When his fingers touched her there,
she sighed. It was involuntary, like sneezing or blinking.

“I'm embarrassed,” she admitted.

“Don’t’ be.” Charlie moved past her,
his bulk crushing to hers for just a moment and the fact that she wasn’t
breathing from nerves made white flowers and spots bloom in her vision. Kimber
sucked in a deep breath and he laughed softly. That laugh was like his lips on
her skin. So intimate and knowing that she shivered. Another moan and Charlie
lifted the window. “It’s just a noise, Kimber. It sounds way worse than it is.”

“Right! Right. It sounds way worse
that it is.”

“Just like you thinking I was actually
sorry I’d kissed you. That sounded way worse than it was.”

He leaned out the window and she held
her breath, afraid he would fall but mesmerized by the grace with which he
moved. The flex of his arms inside that heather gray hoodie. The hard lines of
his thighs in his soft-looking pajama pants.

If she touched her hand to the fabric,
would it be as soft as it looked? Until she got to the fly? Then would it be
hard? A girl could only hope.

“You said you were sorry.”

Bang, bang, bang.
She jumped a little with every impact.

“But I meant it was wrong of me. Not
that I actually regretted the kiss itself.” He hauled himself back in and stood
tall. God, he was big.

“Oh, I thought you meant…”

“Your lips taste like red hots, did
you know that?” He winked and shut the window. A warm rush of fluid moistened
the crotch of her panties. She was so very, very hot for this guy. Which was so
very, very wrong on many levels.

“I use this cinnamon lipglo—”

She didn’t get to finish because he
moved in close to kiss her. His head dipped and his mouth pressed to hers. His
lips, soft and warm, tasted like mint toothpaste. He hauled her closer and held
her waist in his big hands. The cold of them seeped through her pink penguins,
causing her to shiver. He pulled her even farther into his embrace. Charlie’s
mouth toured down her throat and his thumbs stroked her nipples so they pressed
the thin fabric of her pajamas. The thrill of his touch pulsed through her
belly, her pussy, and even her fingers. She was loose and limber. She was made
of jelly. And her ears were ringing. She pushed her hands into his hair and
tugged until his hips shot forward; his hard-on undeniable.

“Your skin tastes like Spring. Which
is good considering how fast the snow is falling.” He didn’t let her answer.
His hands scooped under her bottom and he lifted her easily, walking to the
bed. He planted her on the edge and tugged at her penguin pants. “Out of these,
please? I won’t regret it.” His voice, dark and intense, made her move on the
bed like a wave of long hair and long limbs. “Will you?”

Would she?

Charlie studied her, lifting her now
bare leg up and kissing the inside of her knee. The tingling parade of
sensation marched straight to her cunt and she wanted him more than the next lungful
of air. “No. I won’t regret it. Be gentle. It’s been a while.”

She laughed and so did he. “For me,
too,” Charlie said.

He wrestled his bottoms while she
tugged at her top. A flurry of activity with one end result—both of them naked
but for his hoodie. It was the last shred of clothing between them as he
climbed between her legs. His hips were slim but hard; muscles standing out in
relief as the wind curled along the house and screamed. Kimber tugged the
hoodie and he had it off in a blink.

“Spread your legs for me, Kimber, let
me in.”

He smiled at her and a blush heated
her cheeks. “Please, hurry.”

“No hurrying. This isn’t a race.” He
kissed her. He rubbed the head of his cock, so hard and so soft at once, along
the wet slit of her pussy. She reached for him with her body, bowing up to meet
him. Slipping only the head in, his fingers wrapped around her arms to hold her
still. She tended to jitter and shake when she overexcited.

“I want you to—”

“I will, Kimber. I will do it.
Whatever it is, we’ll get to it. But no rushing.”

“No rushing,” she echoed and leaned up
to kiss him. She sucked his tongue into her mouth and Charlie pushed the head
of his cock into her. Only the head. It was maddening and sexy and
intoxicating.

“Good girl.” He drove into her
finally, a long slow thrust that filled her entirely so that she held her breath
for a few heartbeats. “Am I hurting you?” He stopped.

“No, no,” she shook her head, sucking
in that breath. “You’re just…you’re a little…”

He kissed her. Lips, nose, eyes, chin,
throat. His tongue dancing over her skin as he rocked his hips slightly from
side to side but he didn’t thrust. “Tell me.” The pressure worked her clit and
she felt her pussy blossom for him.

“Big. You’re kind of big. But I’m good
now.” She hooked her leg to his waist, opening her pussy for him further. His
grip on her wrists tightened and he moved faster, his breath like a raging
storm in her ear.

"Yea?" He chuckled.

 "Yeah," she said.

He moved into her with a perfect
rhythm until she felt the inevitable build of pressure and need. “You feel so
good, Kimber. You feel like I knew you would. A perfect fit. A tight, wet,
sweet little pussy.”

The words wound her up again and she
felt her cunt tighten more. The pressure in her pelvis so intense, but oh so
perfect. “Yes, yes.”

The sound of the gutter filled her
house again. A dying bovine sound that made her blood run cold. Charlie paused,
his cock barely moving but his hips rocking over her. She was so close. So
close. “Ignore it!”

“But I think that we should…”

Kimber moved up to meet him, taking
over the motion of their lovemaking. Charlie shut his eyes. He gave up the
battle and started to move in her again. His mouth found her nipple and he
sucked, the tug sent ripples from her breast to her cunt. “Oh, god. That is so
good. So, so good,” she chanted.

Whu-unnnnnh

Charlie froze again, his lips still
warm on her breast but he wasn’t moving. Kimber tried to move, but he crushed
her flat. “Kimber, we should—”

“No, no. It will wait.” My god. In the
interim he could decide he wasn’t bi after all. Or that he didn’t like her. Or
any number of horrible things and all she asked was once. Just once with
Charlie Brewster.
Just one orgasm dear Universe, are you listening?

BOOM!
The universe was listening and it
didn’t care.

She turned to him and he was still in
her, big and hard, pressing all the perfect places. His heartbeat thumped
against her naked skin making her feel secure. He looked her in the eyes, his
big green ones full of humor and affection and he said, “Riiiiiing!”

Kimber sat up, coming out of the dream
hard and fast, her heart thumping, pussy thumping, body completely at war. She
sat up, an orgasm so close to being unleashed in her pelvis she felt hot all
over. She shifted and the pressure and ache of wanting to come stole her
breath. She grabbed the phone. “Hello?”

Her toes touched the cold floor and
she immediately pulled them back as Charlie’s voice said, “Your roof out front just
caved in, are you okay?”

“What!” She stood and caught the white
flash of snow falling swiftly past the street lamp. This had been the snowiest
December she could recall. Normally December was quaint, pretty, holiday
snowfall. Just enough to be festive, not enough to wreak havoc. But this winter
it had been coming in huge batches of white fury. Mucking up the Christmas
preparation for most folks. And now…caving in part of her roof.

“Kimber did you hear me?”

“What? Yes! Where?”

“Out front. Look, Adam told me that
the front porch section needed repair.”

“Yes, yes…the inspector said that,”
she stammered. From her bedroom window all she could see was white and more white
and the occasional passing flare of yellow headlights out by the main road.

“Okay, but I’m not sure if the roof
proper needs any work. This snow is heavy and wet and if the roof is bad…”
Charlie trailed off and Kimber tried to suck in a breath as her heart rate sped
up.

“Oh god. It will cave in and crush me
in my bed. Suffocate me. I’ll die like someone in an avalanche.”

Charlie chuckled softly. Just soft
enough not to offend her. She knew, logically that wouldn’t happen. The attic
was above her bedroom ceiling and though the snow was heavy, it was not enough
to crush and smother her. This was simply a panic attack. She’d had more than a
few in her life. Just not in a while. “I don’t think that’s going to happen.
But it’s too dark for me to look and it’s only the front porch, so there
shouldn’t be any damage to your house.”

Kimber could hear the policeman in his
voice. The quiet, calm authoritative cadence of someone used to being in
control and calming others down. It made her feel much more mellow that she
normally would have. For that she was grateful. “That’s good,” she said almost
dreamily.

“Yes, it is. Are you okay?”

“I just get upset…”

“I can tell.” She could hear the smile
in his voice.

“And I obsess over stuff happening to
my house. I mean, really, really, really obsess.”

“Understandable,” Charlie said. “But
for now, we have to worry about safety. So I want you to put on something warm
and go to the basement. I’m going to come get you at the basement door. You can
stay here and in the morning, I’ll be able to see what’s what. Okay?”

“Why the basement?” Why? Why was she
asking why? Was she insane? Just do what he says!

Charlie didn’t seem to mind. “Because
I don’t know about the back porch either so I don’t want you coming out that
door in case it’s iffy. The basement is safe and there’s no roof. You just open
the door and you're out. Okay?”

“Okay,” she sighed.

“Put your boots on. It’s snowing hard
and it’s getting deep. Bring some stuff to wear tomorrow. Okay?” He was
speaking slow and concise like one would to someone inebriated. Well, she was
sleep and horny dream-drunk. Her body still remembered the dream vividly and
that was bad. Her nipples rubbed her soft pajamas and her belly twirled with
glee at the thought of seeing Charlie, caved in roof or no caved in roof.

“Okay,” she breathed and saw that her
hand trembled.

She remembered her boots and her coat,
but of course she forgot her bag. “It’s okay, Kimber,” Charlie said, leading
her around the walk to the front of her house and across the snowy walk that
divided them.

She said, half asleep, half stuck in
her hot dream of him, half freaked out by caved in bits of house, “That is a
nice filigree birdbath there in your garden filling up with snow.”

He stopped and stared at her,
concerned at first and then he laughed. “Um…thanks?”

“You’re welcome,” she said, staring at
the artfully corroded metal almost hidden by snow.

Gay
. Damn.

Chapter 4

It was damn near impossible to leave
her in the guest room. She’d been wearing these taunting snug little pink
pajamas covered with penguins. Her hair was a tangle of bed headed goodness and
her boots came up to her knees. She wore a green army jacket probably handed
down from someone and she looked like a sleepy woman who was too kissable for her
own good.

She also looked slightly stunned. He
could tell she was one of those high strung homeowners but a significant
portion of roof caving in would rattle even the most laid back person. He’d
tucked her into the bed his parents had given him for the spare room. A cognac
colored sleigh bed with yellow sheets and a green comforter. She’d thanked him
over and over again and then turned on her back to stare at the ceiling.

“I’ll be in the room right next door.
Okay?”

“M’kay,” she muttered.

“The bathroom is at the end of the
hall. Just like your house. I left a night light on and the door open.”

Silence. Then, “M’kay.”

“Are you okay?” Was she in shock?
Panic attack? Whatever it was his heart was hurting for her.

“Fine. I’m all right. Go to bed. I’m sorry
for all the worry. Fine, fine, fine,” she chanted. Charlie thought she was
maybe trying to convince herself and not him.

“Okay, then. If you need me or
anything at all, let me know.”

“M’kay,” she said. She sounded like
she was drifting off and Charlie tried to move silently to the door. Then,
“When you opened your mouth and that ring came out, it freaked me out,” she
said.

“I bet,” he whispered.
Ring came
out? What the hell?
Then he caught on. Had Kimber Daniels been dreaming
about him? That thought made him smile. “I'll try not to do that again.”
