I blinked. “Um, upstairs. First door on the left.”

Liam stepped back from me, grabbed my hand, and dashed us up the stairs.

At my bedroom door, he swung me around to face him, crushing his mouth to mine. He managed to push me backward into the bedroom while fondling the button of my jeans. By the time my knees hit the back of the bed, I’d kicked off my shoes and he was dragging the dark denim down my legs.

I stood before him in nothing but my bra and panties. Much like my uncustomary wardrobe for the day, my lingerie also wasn’t my typical. My very wet bra was silvery silk and my panties plain white cotton. I was embarrassed that he didn’t see me well put together. He hooked his thumb into the waistband of my panties, his long fingers slipping down and curving into my heated center. “Better than I imagined,” he purred. “Very sexy.”

My knees buckled as his fingers explored beneath my cotton undies. He watched me, squirming against his fingers and just as I thought I might explode, he pulled his hand back, catching me around the waist before I fell to the bed.

“I’m not ready for you there,” he rasped.

My wobbly knees shook as he held me close to his still fully clothed body. I pressed my hands to his chest, tapping the buttons of his shirt. A single blink of his eyes granted me permission to remove it. I popped each button, pressing my mouth to his warm skin as it became exposed. All the way down my tongue flicked against his sinewy muscles, tugging the fabric from his body. When it was fully open, I slipped my hands underneath and pushed it down his arms, slow and steady.

“Better?”

“Not quite. I want to see all of you,” I beseeched, reaching for his belt.

Liam placed a finger under my chin and tilted my head back. “You’ve seen me naked. It’s my turn to see you.”

“But…”

His mouth crashed into mine, stopping my rebuttal.

Slowly, his hands moved to unhook my bra. He slipped the silky material from my body and dropped it at my feet. He grazed his teeth over his bottom lip, his eyes moving down to my naked breasts. “And I thought seeing my name plastered across your amazing tits was a beautiful sight to behold. God, I was a fool.”

Okay, that made me blush. He’d noticed my unusual apparel. Apparently he also approved. Most of all he enjoyed my breasts.

Eat that, stupid plastic surgeon!

He brushed my cheeks with his knuckles and gave me a quick wink before sliding the backs of his fingers down my chest, between my breasts. My nipples were hard as rocks, arching toward him, almost begging him to claim them. He graciously obliged, taking each one into his large palms, and tracing circles with his thumbs. I hissed at the sweet yet torturous sensation.

But he didn’t stay put for long. His hands passed down the plains of my stomach until he reached the waistband of my panties. Liam dipped his fingers below the fabric, slowly pushing them down my legs. As my panties inched down, Liam dropped to his knees before me. I stepped out of my cotton bikinis and watched as he threw them aside. He looked up at me, licked his lips, and grinned.

My knees buckled the instant his tongue tickled along my delicate skin. I rested my hands in his hair, thankful that he didn’t protest. All I could think of was lying back on the bed, but his arms held me up, refusing to let me go.

The earth shattered into a million pieces with each flick of his tongue. I bucked my hips and yanked his hair. Oh, the delicious sounds he made and the way they vibrated against me almost sent me over the edge. Sensing my imminent release, Liam eased his pace. Each lick was soft and kept me teetering, but for me it wasn’t enough. I thrust my hips forward, trying to force him to suck me harder.

Instead he released me. “Uh huh,” he murmured, nudging his nose along my pelvis. “Not until I say.”

My stomach was so tight that I found it difficult to breathe. I scraped my nails along his scalp and cried out as he flicked his tongue in all the right places. His warm breath coursed over me as he swirled and lapped, relentlessly tasting me. When I crumpled, unable to maintain my position, he released me and allowed me to fall back to the bed.

Liam stood up, his focus honed in on my body spread out before him. I wiggled against the duvet. “I can’t,” I pleaded, kneading the soft cover. “I need…”

Nothing made any sense to me. This man, this gorgeous man had my body shaking without having entered me. I’d never experienced anything like that in my life. Sure, I knew what an orgasm was. I’d had my fair share, but this, this was unlike any orgasm I’d ever experienced.

Liam reached down and touched his fingers to me. As his fingers slipped inside, I quivered and shook, rocking my hips against his hand.

So close. Oh, so close. I was there. Ready to fall off the edge when he pulled his fingers away from my body.

I looked up, dying inside yet never having felt more alive. Liam pursed his lips and unbuckled his belt. I panted for air as he unzipped his pants and released his hard length that had been straining beneath. “I have all night to play with you,” he growled. “Seeing you lying there, I can’t take it anymore.”

I slammed my fists down on the bed, and cried out in relief, “Finally!”

Liam howled in laughter, stroking his impressive length in his hand. “How often have I invaded your dreams, Lizzy?” His hand coasted down his shaft. “Me, taking you like this?”

I chewed on my bottom lip, enraptured by his hand moving where I wanted my body to be wrapped around. “Since the first time I saw you,” I admitted, a little embarrassed to be giving voice to my dirty, little secret.

“You liked what you saw that night?”

No words escaped me as he inched closer to the bed, pressing his knees against it. He smirked, and rubbed his thumb across the tip.

“I love what I see now.”

I opened myself wider to him, ready for him to take all of me, when suddenly he stopped. A deep line buried itself into his forehead. “Shit,” he snarled.

I leaned up on my elbows, fearing he might’ve changed his mind. “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t have a condom.” He ripped at his hair, growling in anger. “I only wanted to see you. I wasn’t planning...”

I sat up and met him at the foot of the bed. Emboldened, I pressed a kiss to his stomach, wrapping my hand around his erection. “That makes this even better.”

Slowly I started to stroke his smooth, hard length. He closed his eyes, savoring the pressure of my hand on his pulsating need.

“But we can’t…”

“Down the hall, second door on the right. In the nightstand you’ll find a package of condoms.” I circled my thumb around him, smirking at the way he pulsed in my hand.

“Really?”

I nodded. “It’s Jordyn’s room.”

“How do you know your daughter has condoms in her room?”

I wiggled my brows. “Because I’m the one who bought them for her. I personally believe if a girl’s in a relationship she should be prepared to take care of herself.”

Liam pressed a kiss to the tip of my nose, while unhooking my fingers from around him. “God, you’re an amazing woman.”

I wrinkled my nose and laughed, smacking his firm ass. “Go get the condoms.”

He was gone in a flash. By the time I’d moved to the top of the bed, Liam was back in the room with the box in hand. He slipped the rubber over him, and knelt down on the end of the bed. The mattress shifted under his weight as he crawled up toward me. He settled between my thighs, his tip pressed into my aching need.

Somewhere between his departure and him slipping on the condom, the mood between us changed. The dirty man who claimed to torture me until I was falling apart morphed into the sweet man I knew so well. His face transformed and his eyes softened. He pushed my hair back from my face, my heart was racing so hard I was certain he could feel it against his chest.

“Beautiful,” he whispered.

All at once, his mouth fell to mine and his body filled me. He linked our hands together, drawing them above my head. In that moment, we were connected in every way possible. Soul to soul. Heart to heart. Body to body. Our passion consumed us. He thrust into me, our hips meeting in perfect ecstasy.

He’d teased my body so much it was instantly ready to find its release. And it did. I cried out as my climax overtook me, only to have those cries swallowed down by Liam who refused to release my mouth from his kiss. His hands locked tighter around mine and his hips pushed faster and harder into me. He was gentle, reverent even, but his movements were jagged. Again and again he plunged into me, taking what he knew was his.

When he met his own release, it was the most magnificent thing I’d ever witnessed. He wrapped his arms around me, holding me close to him. His whole body shook. His moans were deep and sated. There was something about the feel of him losing control in that brief moment that brought about another climax for me. Together, we reached the stars of intimacy.

Liam gently kissed my lips. “God, I wanted to last longer than that,” he groaned, his forehead dropping to mine.

I wrapped my hands around his face, pulling his head back so I could see into those deep, soulful eyes. “Round one, or are we out for the count for a little while?”

He chuckled. “Oh, sweetheart, we’ve only just begun.”

I squealed as he grabbed the covers beneath me. He ripped them down and pulled them over our heads, thus beginning round two.

More times than I could count, Liam claimed me. When he said he would torture me until I submitted myself to him, he wasn’t kidding. And while my body buzzed with energy from his mastery of sex, my favorite moment was waking up in his arms, just before sunrise.

That was also my least favorite moment, for it was then he had to leave me. If I’d had my way, we’d have stayed locked up in that room and forgot the world existed outside, but that wasn’t an option.

Politics didn’t stop for sex. It might take a break, but it didn’t stop.

Liam pressed a sweet kiss to my temple, his nose nuzzling my tangled locks. “Will you come to my place tonight?”

I tilted my head, kissing his chin. “Why?”

He tapped the tip of my nose with his fingertip. “Because I need to be close to work, but I also want to be with you.” He brushed his knuckle along my jaw, drawing my mouth to his. It was impossible to resist him when he kissed me like that.

“Okay. I’ll be there.”

He pecked my lips once more. “I have to head out, but I’ll be by headquarters sometime today.”

He slipped out of my arms and got out of my bed. Even disheveled from a night of naughtiness, he was still perfect. I rested on my elbow and watched as he got dressed. When he was fully clothed and ready to leave, I lifted up to join him. Liam raised a hand, stopping me. “Get some rest.”

“I’m just walking you to the door.”

He sat down on the bed beside me. His long fingers smooth my messy tresses. “I know if you get out of this bed, you won’t get back in. I can see myself out.” He pressed a sweet kiss to my lips, his palm stroking the bare skin of my arm.

“Fine. You win.”

“I always do,” he gloated.

“Gah!” I shoved him away, flopping back down on the mattress. His addicting laugh blanketed me.

As he started out of the bedroom, he cocked his head, glancing at me over his shoulder. “If I haven’t told you yet, I want you to know how amazing you are.”

“You’re not too bad yourself.”

“Not too bad?” He feigned insult. “Well, if that’s the case I better kick it up a notch tonight.”

I giggled, shuffling under the sheets. Was it even possible for him to outdo himself?

“I think you better,” I jibbed.

He gave me a quick wink. “I’ll see you later.”

I chewed my bottom lip, as he walked out of my room.

No sooner had the front door close that I covered my face and started kicking my feet.

For the second time with Liam, I’d opened myself up to him. I admitted how much he consumed me. I allowed myself to cross the line. I lost control.

Damn him and his stupid superpower!

Last night had been beautiful to the point of perfection. So what if I allowed myself to open up to him. There were worse things that could happen.
