Raising her eyes to Angel’s, Jade whispered, “Yes, I did.  The General brought him to see me when I was first taken.  We were so young, but he was already training to be a soldier.  We talk sometimes, but no one knows.  The general uses me to make Jinx do whatever he wants.  Jinx is a good person, but he does horrible things to protect me.  I’m sorry I didn’t say anything to you, but Jinx didn’t want anyone to know we talk.”

Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Angel nodded.  “I understand.  You were just trying to protect your brother.”

“We talked about you,” Jade told her.  “It’s how I remembered so many things from when I was younger.  I told Jinx how you would read stories to me, and sing to me every night when you put me to bed.  The General told him you were dead, so at first Jinx didn’t believe me when I talked about you.  Then he wondered why you gave him up?  I told him you wouldn’t have done that.”

“I didn’t,” Angel promised her.  “The doctors told me he was stillborn.  I believed them.  I shouldn’t have, but I did.  Believe me, if I had known he was out there, I would have been looking for him just like I have been looking for you the past twenty years.”

Hugging Angel, Jade whispered, “I know.  I remember at first you talked to me, but then I couldn’t hear you anymore.  I found out when I was older they have a drug that makes it so you can’t telepathically connect with others and they were experimenting on me.  I was never able to find Jinx, but he is so strong, he always made the connection on his end.”

Leaning back against the sofa, Jade clung to Angel’s hand.  “I’m scared.  The General doesn’t have me anymore.  That means he has nothing to hold over Jinx’s head.”

“Jinx is going to try and take him down, isn’t he?”  Angel asked.  “He always said when I was free a hell like nothing he had ever seen was going to rain down on the General.” Jade informed her.  “He isn’t going to just try to, he is going to take him out.”

“We can help him, Jade.  We have the same ultimate goal.  We need someone on the inside, he needs us.  He can’t do it alone.  The next time he contacts you, you tell him RARE will be ready when he needs us.”  Standing, Angel leaned over and hugged her.  “I’m going home, Jade.  I need to wrap my head around all of this.”  Jade immediately stood up and followed her to the door.

“I’m going with you,” Jade said shutting the door behind them.  Slipping her hand in Angel’s, together they walked to Angel’s vehicle.  “Family sticks together, right?”

“Yeah, baby girl, they do,” Angel responded with a grin.  “Let’s go home.”

Chapter 34

P
hoenix woke up to a hand trailing down the center of his chest, over his abs, and lower still until it wrapped around his hard cock.  He moaned in pleasure.  Nothing like waking up with wood and having the woman you love next to you, craving the same thing you are.  He jacked his hips up when he felt soft, full lips wrap around the tip of his dick and a tongue flick out.  “Fuck,” he groaned.  Serenity laughed, which made his dick throb.  Her long hair tickled his balls and he knew he was not going to last long.  Grabbing a handful of Serenity’s hair, he held her still while he arched into her mouth driving them both crazy.

Phoenix could not wait any longer.  Growling, he yanked her up on top of him and pushed inside her in one long, deep thrust.  Grabbing hold of her hips, he set a fast pace.  Phoenix felt Serenity’s inner muscles tighten around him and sinking her teeth into him she came.  Feeling his own fangs drop, he bit deep as he shot inside her.  And then, once again, everything was right in his world.  Licking his bite on her shoulder, he whispered, “I love you, Beauty.”

Pulling back, she graced him with a beautiful smile.  “I love you, too, Phoenix.”  Wrapping his arms around her, Phoenix leaned down and breathed in her scent, sighing in satisfaction.  The blend of both of their scents mixed together was intoxicating.

Phoenix did not know what their future would bring, but he did know that they were going to face it together.  They still had some decisions to make, the biggest one being whom they were going to call Alpha, but for now he was going to concentrate on his mate.  Grinning, he kissed Serenity and hopped out of bed.  Turning around, he scooped her up in his arms, and throwing her over his shoulder he headed for the shower.  Chuckling as she smacked him on the ass, he told her, “Let’s shower, Beauty, and then go get our boy.”

Author Bio

I
have a wonderful, supportive husband and three beautiful children.  I enjoy spending time with all of them which normally involves some baseball, shooting hoops, taking walks, watching movies, and reading.

My passion for reading began at a very young age and only grew over time.  Whether I was bringing home a book from the library, or sneaking one of my mom's romance novels to read by the light in the hallway when we were supposed to be sleeping, I always had a book.  I read several different genres and subgenres, but Paranormal Romance and Romantic Suspense are my favorites.

I have always made up my own stories, and have just recently decided to start sharing them.  I hope everyone enjoys reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
