“We’re going to do this my way.”
She decided.

****

“What exactly does ‘your way’
entail?”  He asked, sounding distracted, pulling her further onto his lap.  His
hard body rubbed against her urgent heat and it almost took her breath away.
“Because if it’s too complicated, I think that’s going to be a problem.”

“Lights off.”  She took his hands
and slid them over her body.  “Just feel me.  Hear me.”  She ran her finger
across his lower lip.  “Taste me…”

“I think I can do that…”  He
whispered in his deep rumble.  God, he could be talking about the fucking
weather
in that voice and it would be erotically charged.  It was simply the
sexiest thing she could imagine.

Ransom bit her lower lip to keep
from moaning as she guided his hands slowly over her skin, helping him explore
her body and making sure he discovered the places she wanted him to touch the
most.

He didn’t need much instruction,
intuitively knowing what would make her feel the best.

She put her head back as his mouth
joined his hands, his lips closing over her nipple.

“Close your eyes…”  She breathed,
the words coming out thick with desire and passion.  “Just…”  She kissed him
hungrily.  “Just you and me and nothing else.”

She could tell he did as he was
told, because his hands became much more insistent, grasping her body and
caressing her.  Robbed of the sight of her, he was making do by touching all
the places he would normally have just looked at.

He touch was everywhere, soft
caresses and possessive embraces.

She let out a small cry of surprise
and pleasure as he nipped at her breast unexpectedly.  “Oh, you’re going to…”

He wasn’t used to living without
vision and he accidentally overbalanced on the bed, toppling them both onto the
floor.

Ransom landed on top of him and
started laughing.  “You really suck as a blind guy, pirate.”

He ignored that, kissing her
collarbone and grinding her hips against her length.  “But I’m a quick
learner.”  He finally mumbled, flipping her over so that she was beneath him.

He began to trail kissed down her body
and she was now trembling with excitement and lust again.  “Uriah?”  She
whispered, almost scared by the overwhelming desire and love she was feeling.
It was too big.  It was all so big it felt like her heart would burst.

“I’m here.”  He assured her, arriving
at the hot center of her and Ransom let out a startled cry.

His lips gently closed over her and
her horrible past once more faded from her mind.  All she could think about was
the present and what incredible wonders the future with this man held.

It was going to be sooooo much fun.

She wrapped her legs over his
shoulders, arching her back against the warmth of his mouth and the merciless
suction of his lips.  She let out another soft cry, finding it unbelievable
that anything could feel that good.

Her hips undulated like they had a
mind of their own, lost in the exquisite pleasure.

She finally couldn’t take anymore
and reached down to grab his ponytail to pull him away before she lost her mind
completely.  “I can’t…”  She gasped.  “I can’t wait anymore…”

He positioned himself over her, his
forehead against hers.  “I want you.”  He whispered in the rumbly voice which
always almost pushed her over the edge on its own.

“I want you so badly it makes me
want to cry, Uriah.”  She said, her hands on his face, feeling his beautiful
features.  “I love you so much.”

His body pressed against her
weeping folds, but it wasn’t fast enough for her.

“Please hurry.”  She nodded
quickly, desperate for him.  “I need you, Uriah.”  She kissed him, her lips
moving over his in a wild frenzy.  “I’ve needed you for so long…”

He slowly entered her body,
impaling her in one long thrust, filling her completely.

She let out a low moan, her body
clamping down on his width while her mind struggled to hold together.

Uriah rested his forehead against
hers again, sharing her breath.  He thrust into her again and she wrapped her
legs around him, holding him tight.

She made no effort to hide the fact
that she loved this and her partner was very good at listening for non-visual
cues, surprisingly.  The room was filled with her soft cries, desperate moans, and
whimpers of pleasure.  After a few moment, he seemed to recognize that they
provided him a very nice roadmap of where she liked to be touched and how she
liked him to move.

Tender and slow, then rough and
hard, then tender again.  A cycle which allowed them both to feel and share the
sensations they were capable of giving each other, whispering professions of
love and loyalty in each other’s ears as they moved together.

He braced one of his arms so that
he could lift her off the floor and hold her against him.  “I like that.”  He
said in her ear, his voice much deeper than usual.

“This?”  She did it again for him.

His reply was a growl of lust which
sent more excited shivers up her spine.

She began to roll her hips against
him, feeling her climax approaching and wanting it so badly.  He just felt so,
so good.

His body slid into her deeper,
pushing all the way to her core and tremors shook her body.  Her hips moved
faster, desperate for him to finish it.

“Wait for me, Dove…”  He chastised
hoarsely, resting his forehead against hers again.  He was holding back,
deliberately trying to make it last for as long as possible.

“Please hurry…”  She whispered
weakly, feeling like every second was an eternity.  She kissed him softly.  “I
love you.”

He slid into her as deep as he
could go and and it pushed them both over the edge at the same moment.

His body stiffened and he let out a
growl which might have been her name, holding onto to her tighter as her own
back arched.  She let out a scream of pure bliss, locking her legs around him
and holding him in place inside her.  Every nerve ending in her body felt like
they were firing at once, filling her not only with her own intense pleasure,
but also allowing her to feel Uriah’s.  His tight muscles rippling beneath his
warm skin as he pressed into her, his breath coming in ragged pants of lust.

It all added to the experience,
giving her the most intense organism she could ever remember having.  It was
almost frightening in its raw power, aided by how hopelessly in love with the
man she was.  She rode out the waves of the dizzying climax, murmuring his name
repeatedly, like a prayer.

When she finally regained her
sanity, she kissed him again, still feeling dazed.

“I love you, Ransom.”  He whispered
softly, his hand gently caressed her skin which still felt like it was on fire
from pleasure.

She made a little purr of
contentment, stretching her body and smiling broadly as she snuggled against
him.

And it was the best moment of her
life.

Not only because of the sex or
simply because of the words, but because she felt so… safe.  Happy.  Contented.
Whole.  He made every part of her feel good.  Physically good, obviously, but
also just good about herself in general.

She trusted that he would protect
her.  And that she would protect him.  And that they’d both be fine, as long as
they were together.  And as long as he was there, life was worth living.  No
matter what crazy thing was happening to them.

“I think I can be quite happy spending
my days making love to my gorgeous fabulously wealthy wife, in new and
imaginative ways.”  He observed, laying down beside her.

Gratuitous
amounts of gold
and sex.”  She announced, playfully poking him in the ribs with one fingernail.
“And I won’t be happy if we do anything that I even knew was possible before.
You’d better surprise me.  I mean it.”

“I might not be the best pirate,
but I feel like
this
is my true vocation.”  He promised.

“Good.”  She yawned.  “So far, so
good.”  She finally processed his words and frowned.  “Wait… ‘wife’?”

“Umm…”  He made an uncertain
sound.  “Yeah, I’ll tell you about that tomorrow.  You’ll think it’s a
riot
.”
He cleared his throat.  “Or you’ll slap me.”

“So…”

“Yeah, pretty much like everything
else I’ve ever done.”  He finished for her.  He rearranged himself next to her,
then moved to grab something he was laying on.

“What is it?”  She asked, not
really caring.

“Your underwear.”

She held out her hand, but instead
of giving them to her, he tossed them across the room.

She frowned in confusion.  “Why did
you do that?”

He leaned down to kiss her ear.
“Guess.”

She smiled, guessing what his plan
was.  “I think you’re taking unfair advantage of my disability now, Uriah.”

“Most certainly.”  He let out a
contented sigh.  “That’s one of the problems with falling in love with a
pirate, Dove.”  He put his arm under her head.  “I can’t tell you the
unmitigated
joy
I’m going to get from watching you crawl around the
floor naked searching for those tomorrow morning because you can’t see them.”
His voice betrayed the teasing smile which was no doubt plastered on his face.
“And
I’m
sure not going to help you find them.”

“I can find them on my own.”  She
announced with feigned defiance.

“I’m sure you can.  Far quicker
than I’d like, because you’re amazing.  But I’ll still get such inappropriate pleasure
from watching you on your hands and knees, feeling for them.”

She let out a snort of laughter and
wicked anticipation.  “Our partnership is so awesome.”

“It is indeed.”

She moved her head to rest it on
his chest.  “This is much more fun than what we normally do all day.  Usually
we just drink and kill people.”

“I don’t want to fight anyone
anymore.”  He decided after a moment.  “I’ve been doing it my whole life and
I’m tired of it.  I want to retire from killing.”

“Fine with me.”  She shrugged.  “Let’s
take our shameful wealth and buy ourselves an island somewhere far from this
war.  An isolated spot that no one has ever heard of, big enough for all our
dreams.  And we’ll build a fence around it, just to make sure the world doesn’t
get to us.”

“And then I can bury what’s left of
the treasure and devise pirate booby-traps to kill anyone who sets foot in my subterranean
labyrinth of death!”  He announced excitedly.  “
I’ve always wanted to do
that!”

She paused, trying to come to terms
with how stupid that idea was.  “Sure.”  She humored him.  “Whatever makes you
happy.”

“Just you and me…”

“…and Dinner…”

“…and our kids…”

“We’re gonna have them soon if we
keep having days like today.”  She teased.

“Boy or girl?”  He asked seriously.

“How would I possibly know that?”

“I don’t know.”  He shrugged.  “I’m
just used to you knowing stuff.”

“For the last time, just because
I’m blind doesn’t mean I have super-powers, Uriah.”

“It’s not that you’re blind, it’s
that you’re the brains.”  He defended, then paused as he considered the matter.
“I’m hoping for a little girl.”

“Why?”

“Because I’ve spent too much of my
time around uncivilized men.”  He kissed the top of her head.  “Seriously,
which is it?”

“I don’t know!”  She laughed.  “I
have no idea, it’s not like I just
know
things about our-- at this point--
purely hypothetical, kids.”  She patted his chest.  “But in either case, we
have plenty of time and I r
eally
like making love to you, obviously.  So
we’re not limited here, we can just keep trying until we have an army of
perfect little debutants if that’s what we want.”  She snorted.  “Shit, we can
fill out a whole crew with them if we want.”

“We don’t have much luck with our
crews, Dove.  Might not be the best idea.  And our children will certainly be
more capable than any of the crews which have mutinied on us.”

She was silent for a moment as she
considered that, suddenly worried.  “I hope I’m a better mother than mine was.”

“I hope I’m a better father than
mine
was.”  He shrugged.  “I think we’ll be okay.”

“I’m naming one ‘Maggie’.”  She
decided.  “After your mother.  And I’ll fill her beautiful head with all manner
of completely strange little tidbits of advice, just so she can pass them onto
her
kids, and they’ll find them as confusing and annoying as I do.”

“Oh, but I was kind of hoping we
could name one after Mother Ester…”  He teased.

“Yeah, that’d work out great.”  She
took on a high-pitched voice, as if playing a part. “Can you be a dear and pass
me the cinnamon buns, ‘Annoying Bitch’?  Your father and I love them.’”

He snorted in laughter.  “If she
does frighten off the ogre and she ends up with that gold, I’m already planning
on stealing it from her, by the way.”

“I thought you were retired from
fighting?”

“Well,” he shrugged, “for at least…
let’s say… eighteen months?”

“Do pirates typically take
paternity leave?”  She smiled at the idea, adoring the way his criminal mind
worked.

“This one sure is.”  He decided.

“It’s really touching the way
you’re going to give up killing for a year and a half.”  She teased.  “The baby
will be thrilled.”

“Well,
I’m
giving it up, but
that just means you’ll have to pick up the slack.”  He explained.  “I mean, our
partnership has too many enemies to give up killing
completely.
  But
I’ll be there for moral support.”

“You want me to fight all your
enemies for you, pregnant and blind?”  She deadpanned, making at face at his
idiocy.  “Figures today would be a ‘Shovel Day’.”

“Huh?”  He shook his head.  “I
don’t know what that is.”
