He slid his hands around her waist and hauled her off the chair. “Can you stay tonight?”
She pressed her lips together. “I left Rachel with my mum.” Her smile was wicked and his dick reacted like it had been programmed to serve her. “But Mum did ask me to invite you to Sunday dinner tomorrow. If you came over tonight, you’d just be arriving a little bit early.”
He kissed the top of her head. “I’m up for that.”
Her smile slipped. “You know, if you hadn’t sent my stuff back, I might never have gotten the courage to come here today.”
“I didn’t want to force you to come back. Last night when you left, I thought it was because when I told you I couldn’t have kids, you decided you didn’t want me,” he admitted. His face burned with the shame of not trusting in what they had. Trusting in their love.
Chloe laughed and shook her head. “What am I going to have to do to make you believe there’s nothing I want more than you?”
She rose on her tiptoes, linked her arms around his neck, and kissed him with a hunger that made him want to drag her to his bed.
When she broke away, breathless, he cocked a brow. “You could keep doing that.” He flashed a grin.
“I will. Forever.” And she pulled his head down to seal the promise with a kiss.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a good book in my hands. In primary school I loved Roald Dahl. In high school my English teacher introduced me to Charles Dickens, Stephen King, Jane Austin, Emily Bronte, and Shakespeare. It was then that I discovered my love for romance and I’ve wanted to pen my own imaginary heroes and heroines for others to enjoy ever since. Only in the last few years was I lucky enough to meet some fabulous and encouraging people to help me gain the skills to make that dream possible.
