Later in bed, Black Dog thought about how much his life had changed and decided that Willie would be getting those rings sooner than she expected. Mad Jack had worked out a deal with his dad to buy the lot next door to build his house on and Mr. Regan was willing to pay for the those files. With that money they could but a down payment on the garage apartment, and some day add a house. Shutting his eyes, he saw a bright future ahead of them.

Black Dog had heard from Donna, Roberta was still in the hospital because she was pregnant. Donna had begged him not to tell Willie, she didn’t want her to feel bad about beating her up.

Willie had told her mother the truth so she could have her grandmother’s tray. It was time to have some words with Roberta. He rode over to the hospital and saw one lone motorcycle parked in the visitor’s lot. He figured it belonged to Wolf. He had a few things to say to Wolf too.

He got his visitor’s pass and headed to Roberta’s room. As he reached the door he could here Wolf and Roberta talking. He leaned against the wall waiting for a break in their conversation to enter the room.

“Robbie, something about your story doesn’t make sense to me. You’re either lying or not telling me the whole truth.” Wolf sounded pissed off. “Tell me again what happened, and don’t you fucking lie to me. That’s my kid you’re carrying, and before I start a war over this, I want the truth. Who laid this beating on your ass?” Wolf was roaring by the time he ended his sentence.

Roberta sniffled, “I told you, it was Black Dog and Mad Jack, and they must have followed your guys to the house and waited until they saw them leave. Black Dog and Jack kicked me and beat me while my sister and her friend pulled out my hair. Wolf, it was the four of them, I swear to God.”

“Wait a minute, your sister, Black Dog, Mad Jack, what the fuck! You know their names and which chick was your sister? I knew you were lying to me, Roberta. You just proved it to me. You said you didn’t know any other bikers. You lying bitch.”

Roberta tried to cover her slip up, “I heard their names of course and you took my little sister. The brown-haired girl, I didn’t want my sister with you. You know how much I love you Wolf…I am telling you the truth now. It was those two bikers and my sister is so awful. I tried to tell them I was pregnant but they wouldn’t stop!”

“Robbie, you are a bad liar, we didn’t know you were pregnant until they admitted you. Wanna try another story? I can sit here all day hearing your lies or you can finally tell me the truth. I told you not to lie to me. Your mother had me arrested and I had to pay fines. Mercy hocked your gold to get me out too.”

Black Dog had heard enough and strode into the room. Roberta gasped as she saw the huge biker. He looked directly at Wolf.

“Names Black Dog, Wolf. I came to make sure Roberta stayed away from my ol lady, ya know the sister you grabbed. Willie is my ol lady, and we got a kid. I didn’t touch your bitch, Wolf. Neither did Mad Jack.

“What happened was Roberta was letting them go and they beat the crap outta her. I know Willie wouldn’t have beat her ass so bad if she knew she was carrying your kid too.”

He turned to Roberta, “Willie and I have our daughter back and we don’t want anything to do with you or Althea. Teddy doesn’t want you around either. I don’t know if you’re aware that your father was arrested but if your mom comes around she may fill you in.

“She’s busy getting a divorce, and since the Baby Boutique is in her name and yours, she’s running the store. She made a beautiful room for her granddaughter, and I am pretty pissed off you tried to keep Willie and me apart. I lost years with Willie and my daughter because of you and your cunt half-sister, Althea.

“Unless you want Willie and Dee to beat your ass again Roberta, you’ll leave them alone. I don’t want to hear one word outta your mouth saying shit about Willie or our kid. Understand me? This was a courtesy visit. You go near another Nefarious ol lady and all of them will come for you. It won’t be a hospital bed for you next time.”

Black Dog looked at Wolf. “I don’t know what the hell she told you man, but she is a lying, evil bitch. I don’t need to beat woman and why would I, if you wanted to try to straighten shit out with our clubs? I doubt you even knew Willie was her sister or my ol lady did you? But Roberta knew, just didn’t want to share ya with her sister that she is jealous of.”

“I’m not jealous of that bitch, and it is Althea’s daughter...” She trailed off as she glanced at Black Dog’s stormy expression.

“Roberta, you’re lying again. Althea never had a kid, but Willie did. You’re confused because Althea and Willie look alike. Do you want Wolf to know about those days? I’ll be happy to tell him every single detail.” Black Dog stared Roberta down.

Wolf looked from Robbie to Black Dog. “I am lost here. Who the hell is Althea? I had no clue that the chick was an ol lady, man. Or Robbie’s sister. I wanna sit down and try to work this shit out.” He glanced at Roberta who had her eyes closed. “Now isn’t the time to talk, but I can assure you nobody will be going near your family. I just ask the same from you too. Roberta doesn’t get beat up while she is carrying my kid. We good on that?”

Black Dog extended his hand and Wolf shook it. “We’re good, but if her mouth spreads lies, you’d better close it. I heard your ol ladies are well trained. The one you sent in to talk to us needs to teach Roberta some manners. You gotta a lot of work ahead of you with her.”

Black Dog pointed to Roberta. “Don’t send a chick in with a message. You wanna talk, here is one of our cards—call the number on it.” Black Dog pulled on the chain attached to his wallet and took out a card. He handed it to Wolf and put his wallet back into his pocket.

As he left the room, he heard Wolf say to Roberta, “So, you have another sister that looks like your little sister, I think I wanna meet this Althea…”

Black Dog smirked and thought,
oh hell no, you don’t bro!

Mad Jack and Deidra

D
eidra looked in the mirror of the bridal shop. This was not the dress for her no matter what Kima and Jo thought. It was very nice of them to take her shopping since Mrs. Regan had given up on finding a dress Dee would wear. She didn’t mean to be so picky and she had let Mrs. Regan plan the wedding reception the way she wanted.

Jack had long ago tossed up his hands at the whole affair and was busy with the details of building their house. In all honesty, she would have liked to go shopping with Willie and Teddy but she wanted to please her new sister in laws. She sighed as she looked in the mirror and shook her head no.

Kima turned to Jo. “I told you it was a lost cause. That dress was too puffy, and more to your tastes than Dee’s. We need to get her to tell us what she likes. If we have to call Shelly to come down, we’ll do that.”

“I loved that dress and you’re on your own after today, Nailz doesn’t want me shopping. He says I need my rest but I think it is more he doesn’t want to watch the twins.” Jo propped up her feet on the ottoman.

The sales lady came out and walked toward the two women, “Deidra is crying and one of you should talk to her.”

Kima got right up, “Sit here, I’ll see what is wrong.” She went to the dressing room and knocked softly at the door. “Dee, it’s Kima, may I come in?”

She opened the door to see Dee curled up in the corner with tears flowing down her face.

“Kima, I’m sorry, I can’t help it. I thought my mother would be here to do all of this with me someday. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful but I miss her so much. I appreciate everyone’s help, but I feel so lost.” Her voice was heartbreaking sounding.

“Oh Dee, we should have thought of that. I still can’t get over Hunter being gone either. What do you think your mother would have liked in a dress? Do you have any pictures of your parents wedding?”

Tears started following again down Dee’s face, “Margo burned all of them, and my mother wore a simple white dress. Whiskey, my dad wasn’t much into weddings. I know she was pregnant with me. I don’t have much of her left, just what pictures I could grab or had hidden. No early pictures of us as a family. I don’t even want Margo to come to my wedding but how do I tell my dad that? I don’t want fights at the wedding. I think Jack and I should have run off but it meant so much to your mother to have a wedding for us.”

Kima pressed her lips together. “It would because Jo and I were pregnant and she didn’t get to plan a huge wedding. She did get to plan Shelly’s wedding. This Margo sounds like a bitch. I don’t know your dad, except for being introduced to him. Maybe she won’t come?”

Dee wiped her face with the tissues that the sales lady had given her. “Margo doesn’t know I am marrying into a wealthy family. I doubt my dad told her much about my life here. It isn’t like I’m important to him, the only use I have for him is to tie the clubs together. I wonder how he felt when Margo had a daughter. She was so positive she was having a son. I feel sorry for the baby and hope she is able to love it. She is one of the vilest women I’ve ever met. Nothing like my sweet mother was.

“I still wonder why my dad fell for her. However Margo will come, and she will be mean to me and my dad won’t notice or say anything to her. Other women used to tell her to back off and she gave them hell. Kima, I love Jack but I hate this whole wedding reception idea. Your wedding is supposed to be your dream and it is my damn nightmare.”

Kima didn’t know what to say to Deidra, she was trying to picture how this would play out with her family if Dee was taunted at her wedding by some biker bitch and she didn’t think her Irish family who adored Deidra would put up with it.

“Did you tell my brother about any of this? My family isn’t going to like Margo.  I can tell you that from what you’ve said about her. My mom needs to know so she can seat her far away from you. We’ll work on this Dee, I promise. Now do you want to look at more dresses, we don’t have that much time since my brother pushed this wedding date up. I need a dress, Willie, Teddy and Dusty need dresses and so does Melora. Why don’t we see what they have in stock? If not we will plan another day and ask the girls to come with us.” Kima’s voice was calming and Dee finally gave her a teary smile.
