“No coffee for you.  One unsweetened, unflavored, tea with a side of pink packets coming up!”

She smiles behind my finger and I lean in to kiss her languidly.  Before it goes any further, I lift her off my lap and stand up.

With a quick slap of her ass and a “vamonos,” we head out for our coffee date.

-13-

We could walk to the coffee shop because it is only a few blocks from the station, but I convince Violet that we should drive.  I have an ulterior motive of course. I’m hoping I can take her out afterwards, or if I am lucky, I can talk her into coming home with me.  She has never been to my real house, only the apartment I rented while in South Miami, and I really want to share all of me with her. The real me. No more deceptions. Not that she didn’t get the real me before, but I did have to hold back some, like where I really live...and work.

The whole ride over was in silence, not something I am used to with Violet.  Our conversations usually flow and we never have this uncomfortable silence.  I have to do something to change this.  I can’t stand the feeling. I reach out for her hand.  She tries to pull back, but that only causes me to hold on tighter.

“I’m so proud of you,” I tell her.  And I really am.  Once I recovered from my ego taking a hit, I was able to really be impressed with her abilities.

“Thank you.  I really didn’t do anything,” she refutes her success.

“Aw, baby girl. Don’t be so modest.  You caught a major drug trafficker,” I remind her.

She shrugs then goes quiet again. Shit.

We arrive at the coffee shop minutes later and I am relieved to escape the tension in the car.  I hop out and round the car quickly so I can open the door for her and help her out.  Violet smiles at my chivalry and the look on her face fills my heart – and cock, I’m still a man after all.

We head into the coffee shop and Violet goes to grab a table for us while I get on line for our coffee and tea. I also grab a few different pastries for us to share. I use this time to compose myself. I need to get my shit together or I am going to lose her entirely.

She smiles when I place all the goodies on our table. Her manners supersede her feelings. “Thank you.”

“There it is.” I smile.

“What?” she asked, confused.

“My smile,” I tell her.

She smiles again, this time covering it with her hand. Unacceptable. I grab her hand and lower it, but I don’t release it.

“Violet, I am so sorry.  You have to know.  It’s killing me,” I plead.

“I know.  And I am trying to get over it.  I just…it’s just…I don’t know.” She sighs.

“I know.  I’m sorry,” I repeat for the umpteenth time.

“You and my dad?  Both of you.”  She shakes her head.

“I understand.  Just know, it wasn’t my choice to hide these things from you. But despite it all, I won’t give up.  You are mine, and I will never stop fighting for you.  For us.”

She smiles.

“You better not.” She offers hope when I was beginning to think it was a lost cause.

I smile, more motivated to make her mine now than I was five minutes ago.

“Cupcake?”

She takes a sip of her tea. “Hmm?” she asks around the lip of the mug.

I grab my balls and say three words I’ve never said to anyone other than my mother.

“I love you, Violet.”

Her eyes widen. I think she stops breathing. She definitely wasn’t expecting to hear that.  Hell, I never expected to say it.

I always have so much fun with Jordan, I can’t stay angry a moment longer.  I understand why he lied. I don’t like it, but I understand.  Plus, it was really a lie of omission, and you already know my take on those.  It makes sense why we always met farther South or half way; he needed to keep out of the public eye where someone could recognize him. But now, it feels so amazing being in public with him in the city we both live. It feels completely real.

And then he said I love you. First. He said it to me. He said, “I love you, Violet.”  I stopped breathing the moment he said it.  Heck, I almost choked on the tea I was sipping.  After I processed what he was professing, all I could think about was getting out of there and attacking him. I don’t even remember if I told it back to him or not.  I was in such a daze from finally hearing those three simple - yet all consuming - words, I didn’t even notice when we left the coffee shop to head back to his place.

We walk into his condo and it is exactly how I’ve pictured. The epitome of a bachelor pad.  Not a speck of femininity, which actually brings relief. Everything is white. The walls, tile floors, and kitchen are all white.  There is no art on the walls, only an unnaturally large television.  There are no rugs or accessories, and the only furniture I can see is a black leather sectional and a glass top dining room table.  Like I said, bachelor pad.

“Can I get you a drink? Coke? Water?”

“You don’t drink soda.” I eye him warily.

“No, but my girlfriend does,” he answers, and I swoon. Again. He gets me every time.

I smile. I’m so grateful, but politely decline. “If I drink anymore, I’m gonna float away,” I joke, trying to lighten the mood.  There’s a weird vibe in the room as I stand looking aimlessly at everything around me; it’s a little off putting.

Jordan nods in understanding then walks up to me and wraps himself around me, so that I am completely engulfed by his huge body, and then takes a deep breath.  I wonder if he’s nervous. Is that what’s causing the tension?

“You’re the first woman I’ve ever brought here,” he whispers in my ear.

“That makes me happier than you could imagine,” I murmur.

He sighs, the breath he lets out tickling my neck.  “Violet? About what I said earlier…” he starts, his voice a little shaky.

I lean back and look into his gorgeous hazel eyes. He’s so beautiful it’s almost breath taking.  I take another minute to soak him in.  This man. This perfect man is mine. I smile.

“What? Why are you looking at me like you want to eat me?” he asks.  His mood is much lighter, but his eyes have darkened, and his lids are now hooded.

Before I get the chance to say another thing, Jordan leans in, crushing his lips to my hungry ones. My body melts instantly and I want nothing more than for him to take me.

With an uncanny ability to read my mind, Jordan lifts me up, carries me over to the leather sectional.  He sits down but doesn’t pull me onto his lap, yet. He stands me in front of him then turns me around so that I am facing away from him.

Chills shimmy down my spine as his fingers creep under my dress and pull down my now soaking panties.  His zipper slowly opens and relief washes over my wanton self, my heart pounding with the force of a jackhammer.  He settles his hands on my hips, the scent of his cologne heightening my overly alert senses, making me dizzier with need.

I know what’s coming next, but nothing can prepare me for the intense rush that crashes over me as he impales me backward onto his rock hard cock.  I can’t see anything, but my imagination runs wild with what I know Jordan is witnessing.

“So beautiful,” he says, and the compliment lights me up – physically and emotionally.

Jordan slaps my ass one time and I gasp.

“Like that?”

“Surprisingly, yes,” I whisper.

“You’re so hot, Violet. I love watching my cock sliding in and out of your soaking pussy.”

A tiny “meep” escapes my lips, partly in embarrassment from the way he is speaking to me, but mostly in excitement and arousal.

“I know you like it when I dirty talk to you.  Don’t get all shy on me now, dirty girl.”

I moan in anticipation. His fingers dig into my hips, pulling me closer to him, as he begins pumping into me. The angle is delicious, and it’s deeper than I have ever felt before.  Until he tells me to lean forward. Oh my god!

“Jordan, it’s so deep,” I mewl.

“Yeah? You’re so sexy. You like that?”

“Yes, oh my god, yes. Please, baby. Please make me come,” I beg.

“You know it.  Grab onto my legs.”

I hold on tight and Jordan starts thrusting as hard as he can. Just when I don’t think it could feel any better, his hand reaches around and begins to rub my clit between his fingers.

I forget how to breathe.

“I can’t hold on any longer.”

“Come, my love. Come on my cock so I can feel you.”

And at his command, I absolutely do.  I come harder than I’ve ever come before.  Two more power strokes later, and I feel him let loose inside of me. I don’t know if there is a greater feeling.

Jordan stands me up then disappears for a few seconds, returning with a warm washcloth to clean me off. He rearranges my dress and zips up then pats his lap for me to climb back on.

For the first time in weeks, I feel free. No more anger, no more pain, no more resentment.

“I love you, Jordan.”

Jordan smiles widely then leans in for a chaste kiss. He then pushes a strand of hair back behind my ear that fell into my face and kisses my temple.  I’m toast for this man.

“Violet?”

“Yeah?”

“Look at me.”

My shyness takes over, a stupid blush reddening my cheeks, and I hesitate before looking at him.  I just told him that I loved him and he didn’t say it back.

“Marry me, my flower.”

“What?”

Okay, so maybe this is one of those instances where two huge words are better than three small ones.

“Marry me,” he repeats.

“I heard you, but, huh?”

He chuckles at my astonishment.

“Hear me out, Cupcake.  You are my one. My flower. My sunshine. I know you are my right person because I constantly strive to be the very best version of myself. And I do that because you deserve nothing less than the best. I’m not perfect, but if you give me the chance, I will prove that I am perfect for you.  I love you, Violet Reagan Carmichael, and I want you to be my forever. Will you marry me?”
