“Who do you want to witness the ceremony? Are you planning on having a big thing?”
“We can, if you want. I just was going to head for a justice of the peace, but it’s up to you.”
“I just want Shana, my mom, and Auntie Tay there. That’s everything I need.”
“That can be arranged. I’ll get my best friend Cole to be my best man. He can carry Lucia up the aisle.”
I smile at the thought of Lucia in a perfect little princess dress being carried up the aisle at our wedding. “Ok.”
His cell phone rings.
Phone
Logan
“Sorry, I have to get this, Violet.” I roll out of bed, leaving her sweet, warm body under my sheets. I like having her there, and the only thing better than having her in my bed is being there with her. Duty calls, though. I don’t get very many phone calls.
The phone number that’s on my screen isn’t one that I recognize. Should I let it go to voicemail? The last time I did, it was my lawyer telling me to get my ass to his office. I better not do that again. I pick up.
“Hello.”
“Hey baby!” I hear giggles. “It’s me, Bubbles!”
What? Who’s that?
“I’m sorry, I think you have the wrong number.” I move my thumb towards the red End button.
“No, no, don’t hang up!” Bubbles is still giggly. “I have something important to say.”
“What is it?” Every second I spend on the phone with this girl is a second that I’m not kissing every inch of Violet’s curvy, delicious body.
“I’m pregnant!”
“Congratulations,” I say flatly. “If that’s all…”
“It’s yours!”
I feel my stomach drop. “What?”
“It’s your baby!”
“I think you have the wrong number.”
“Don’t you remember? It was that night—that time in the bathroom. Don’t you remember? I remember it! I remember every second of it.”
“How do you even have this phone number?” Violet is sitting up in the bed, the sheet pulled over her breasts. I mourn the loss of being able to admire her body while I talk on the phone to this crazy girl. I walk around the bed, and I press her shoulders down. I kiss her nose, and then I cover the mouthpiece. “Be right back.”
I go into my closet.
“Do you have any proof that it’s mine?”
“I’ve got a pregnancy stick that says that I have a baby!”
“Listen, we had sex days ago. There’s no pregnancy test in the world that can diagnose a pregnancy this fast, and I doubt it. I used two layers of protection.”
“But you didn’t, like, use two condoms.”
“I used something else, too.”
“Oh.” She pauses. “Are you impotent?”
I choke. I don’t think she knows what that actually means. “No.”
“Oh. Sorry to bother you, then. I guess I know who I should call, if it’s too soon for this to be your baby.”
“Have a nice day.” I finally hit the End button.
I walk back into the bedroom.
“Who was that?”
“It was someone who…” I look at Violet. I just got that ring on her finger today, and we’ve just reunited. Do I really want to throw this at her?
On the other hand, we’re going to be married. I might be willing to get down and dirty with hot chicks, but I’ve always respected the line of marriage as an untouchable one. Aren’t you supposed to be honest inside of a marriage? It might be a good habit to start right now.
“It was a girl who said that she was pregnant by me.”
“What!” Violet screeches. “What the hell!”
“It’s not what it sounds like!” I protest. I run my hands through my hair. “She’s crazy.”
“That’s a pretty long phone call for a girl who you think is just ‘crazy.’” Violet’s arms are crossed on her chest, and I pray a quick prayer of thanks to God, because it makes her boobs look spectacular. “Explain yourself.”
“I…” I clear my throat. “I had sex with her recently, and she just found out that she’s pregnant.”
“No pregnancy test in the world works within a few days.”
“I know. She shouldn’t even have any symptoms yet.”
“Ok. I believe you. But going forward in our marriage, there better not be any other girls who call you to tell you that you knocked them up.”
“The only girl in the world that I want to knock up is you.”
I take the sheet down. “How about giving Lucia a little brother?” I kiss her throat in a necklace of hard, hot kisses. I bite her breasts, and she arches her back, moaning.
This time’s for her—for the faith that she’s putting in me by agreeing to be my wife. We’ll get to the details later, but for right now, this night is hers.
I kiss my way down to her pretty lips, and I open her completely to my invasion. I rub her clit so that it comes out, and I rub the perfect spot. Her hips are bucking hard against me. I taste her honey, and she pushes her hips hard towards me.
“You like that, don’t you?”
She’s wordless now, climbing fast towards climax. Her legs are starting to shake. I stick two fingers inside of her vulva and apply more pressure on her clit. She explodes in front of me, eyes shut, mouth open.
Her climax is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. I want to see it every day for the rest of my life.
I push her legs together, and I pull her hips so that she’s on her side. She’s still panting hard from her climax, but she gets no time to recover. I slide myself into her. With her legs together, she’s even tighter than last time. My hand goes back to her clit as if it’s a magnet, and I fan the flames of her desire. She’s sweating, and so am I.
I pump into her, slow and steady. I’m using a simple rhythm, one that is old as the Earth itself. I swivel my hips, and she moans in front of me. I swell.
As much as I want to take it slow, I can’t control myself. I feel the fire burning inside of my body, and I will it down. This time was supposed to be for her.
I pull out, about to come, and I need to stop.
“Don’t pull out.”
I slide right back in. “This night is for you.” I bite her shoulder firmly. “Hold on.” I grip her hips with one hand and rub vigorously at her clit with the other. The sounds that are coming out of her are getting louder and louder, and I thank God that nobody is on this floor. It might be hot to be discovered, but that can wait for another day.
She’s fluttering around my dick, and I can’t hold back anymore. I flood every inch of her with my seed. I hope we have another kid. She’s done a great job with Lucia, and I want to have another kid to spoil, another kid who can grow up from the moment he’s born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
Wedding
Violet
I’m dressed in a violet dress. It has a really long train, and I spent hours at the hairdresser this morning weaving violets into my hair. It was worth all the chemicals and effort, though, because I look like a princess.
I’m wearing Cartier diamonds. We’ve borrowed a tiara from someone Logan knows, and it apparently used to belong to Grace Kelly. It feels appropriate for a princess day.
“Pretty,” Lucia says to me.
I crouched down to hug her. “You look pretty, too, baby.”
She’s dressed in glittery pink, and my heart swells at how perfect she looks. Our lives have changed so much in a very short time, but I know that every second of this is worth it for her. Logan and I signed a simple prenup, and he explained the terms of his trust fund to me. It felt good to know that he trusted me, and that he would be fine with all of it going to me.
She has a little flower tucked behind her ear, and she’s carrying a little tiny bouquet of red roses with the thorns carefully removed.
I hear the music start, and it’s time to walk down the aisle.
My baby goes ahead of me, held safely in the arms of Cole, Logan’s best friend.
Then it’s my turn. There’s no dad to give me away, not even an uncle. I’m walking all on my own.
I’ve waited for this moment for so long. I thought that I’d never get married. I am taking a big chance today, but I think I’m doing it for the right man.
My thoughts are racing through my mind with the speed of an Indy 500 driver. I look down the aisle, and there’s Logan, standing so tall and handsome next to Cole. My baby is standing there with her roses, and she’s already plucking the petals out. I love her so much, and I smile. I am full of both joy and terror in equal measures, but I think that this is the right decision to make for her. For all of us.
My emotions overload, and my happy tears seep onto my cheeks. I progress down the aisle, still smiling. My mom, Shana, and Auntie Tay are all sitting in the front row, waiting for me.
When I get to the head, I can barely hear what the justice of the peace is saying.
“Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today…”
I say the words ‘I do,’ and so does Logan.
“I now pronounce you man and wife.”
Logan’s mouth comes down on mine. Sparkles fill my body. This is more than just a kiss. This is a promise of happiness. Forever.
