Jay punched the bag one last time and said, “Let us all go for a swim then.  Sasha, why don’t you see if Emily could bring Michaela back for a swim?”  He walked over to get the towel so he could wipe of
f
the sweat when Sissy handed him the towel with a flirty look as she let her hand linger on his bicep.

“Thank you,” he muttered as he moved his arm away from her as he lifted it to wipe himself with the towel.  Nothing, he thought to himself.  He did not feel a damn thing when she touched him or latched on to him, but just a bump from a human girl, and his body clenched in desire.  He would never understand it, but he liked the
idea of going swimming for he w
ould get to see Emily in a bathing suit.

Jay
he heard as Mark laughed at him.

You are the same way.  You want to see Sasha in a bathing suit too that is why you suggested
it
he countered as he grabbed his water bottle and met his brother’s eyes.

Guilty
was his response as Jay watch
ed
him turn his golden eyes inherited from their father onto his mate who was ignoring him.

Sasha knew he was looking at her but she was ignoring him.
She sighed
soundlessly, and then said, “I will go find Emily and Michaela.”  At their confused looks, she smirked, “Emily is not a werewolf so I cannot just link to her like I can my mother and father.”  She gave them a smug look before she walked out of the gym.  She headed for the backyard where she saw Emily going before Mark stopped her, and she frowned.  Every time she was around him, she felt her wolf chanting to her and she wanted to give in but she was afraid.  Of what, she was not entirely sure because finding your mate was supposed to be great, and yet she was scared.  She needed to talk to Emily and she smiled as she saw her ahead with Michaela.  In the last few days, they had been hanging out with Michaela as the males went about their business.

“Hi Sasha,” Michaela called as she saw her and she came running up to her with Emily behind her.

“Hi Michaela, how are you doing today?” she asked the little girl.

Michaela nodded her head as she said, “You came to play with us.”

“How about we go swimming? Jay and Mark thought it would
be
refresh
ing
if we went for a swim,” Sasha suggested and watched Michaela’s eyes widen in delight.

“All right,” she cried as she run inside calling, “I am going to go change into my suit.”
Sasha and Emily laughed as they watched her and they followed her slowly inside.

“What is wrong, Sasha?” Emily asked after a few seconds of silence.  Sasha sighed and started to explain her situation with Mark.  Emily did not interrupt just listened as they made
it
to their room where she sat down on her bed and Sasha started looking for her bathing suit.

“Second draw
er
from the bottom,” Emily said after noticing her frown as she stopped talking.  Sasha threw a “thank you” over her shoulder as she pulled it out.

“Sasha, do you like him at all, and I am not talking about your wolf?” Emily asked and Sasha looked at her with confused eyes.  She thought about what Emily was asking her, a
nd she admitted honestly, “I do
not know.  I know m
y wolf goes crazy every time he is
around me, but as for my feelings I really do not know.”

Emily nodded her head as she got off the bed to pick up the mess that she was making as she changed into her bathing suit, “Your wolf wants him as she knows he is her mate, but why don’t you get to know him?  I mean, it is not going to hurt you and besides, I thought the whole thing about mates was that you belong together.  Eventually you two will come together because that is your destiny but why not let destiny take its course and you get to know the man you are suppose to share the rest of your life with?”

Sasha turned around and looked at her as she finished
picking up the clothes
.  Emily always underestimated herself for she was a smart young woman and
very talented in her gift although
she kept it close to herself only a few people knew about it.

Sasha smiled as she picked up a towel, “I will think about what you said,” Then she frowned, as Emily had not changed into her bathing suit, “Are you not going swimming?”  Emily shook her head as she said after she yawned, “I think I am going to take a nap.”
Sasha saw the tiredness in her eyes and she nodded her head as she gave her a hug, “Get some rest.”

She headed down to the pool where the rest were swimming and playing.

She noticed that Jay looked behind her when she entered and she smiled to herself at t
he disappointment she saw in his
eyes.

“Where is Emily?” Michaela asked as she floated up next to Jay.

“She is taking a nap, Michaela,” she said before diving into the pool.

“Is she okay?” Michaela asked as soon as she popped from underneath the water.  She smiled as
she
pushed her red hair out of face, “Do not worry Michaela, she is fine.”  Michaela nodded her head as she swam off but Jay eyes narrowed on Sasha’s face and she read the concern and worry there.

“What are you not tel
ling us?” he asked softly
, and Sasha threw
him
a quick look of surprise.  She would have answered him too if Sissy had
not
swam up to them at that moment, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing her body to his as she asked with a touch
of
anger, “What are you two talking about?”

Sasha looked her then back at Jay, “
Nothing” and she swam off towards Mark and Michaela.  She watched as Mark’s eyes widen with delight as she came closer and she felt herself melt under his look.  Emily you were right, she thought to herself, getting to know him
would
be
the best for both of us.

In their room, Emily had laid down after Sasha left and her eyes closed immediately.  Before long though she was tossing and turning a
s the vision came upon her
, and she stiffened in fear at what she was seeing.

The
man looked at her with cold black
eyes, and she felt herself shiver as Michaela clutched her in fear.

“Who are you?  What do you want from us?”
she asked bravely although her voice
shook
and she knew he heard it as he smirked at her.

“Well, first, I like having my grandchild home.  Welcome Michaela,” he said although there was no true welcome in his voice.  “In secondly, you will help me to gain everything I want while training my granddaughter how
to use her gift” She saw his black
eyes light with madness, and she knew that whatever they did would never be enough to satisfy him.

“No,” Michaela cried as she clutched onto her.  The man’s cold eyes landed on her and boomed, “You will do as I say, child.”  Michaela shook in fear and Emily looked at him with brown
eyes that had dimmed in fear,
“We cannot help you
.  Our gifts do not work on
command or orders,” she said and before she knew it, he was across the room in front of her.  With one swipe of his hand, he backhanded her into the wall and she groaned at the impact.  “You will do as I say,” he growled then to the man standing to the side, “Take my granddaughter away while I chat with this one.”

“Emily,” she heard Michaela crying but she was in so much
pain
from that one hit, and she started blacking out as she heard him say furiously, “
Humans are so weak.”  The last thing she saw before she completely blacked out was a pair of green eyes filled with so many emotions that she could not decipher them all but they were all for
her
, she was sure of that before the blackness claimed her.

Emily shot
up
in bed as the vision left her, and she took a quick look around her room as she curled her legs into her.  The tears slid down on her cheeks as she went over her dream.  What was happening to her?  That was different
then
the other ones where it seems like she, or someone, is running through a forest.  Then she latched onto certain aspects of the vision as she frowned.  In the vision, the man kept calling Michaela is granddaughter although he looked
maybe a few years older than
Jay and Mark’s
father did
.  For a moment, Emily replayed the scene the night they first arrived and she remembered Michaela saying clearly, “Uncle Jay,
and Uncle
Mark”.

Emily got up quickly from her bed and went to take a shower.  A few minutes later dressed in a pair of black jeans and a blue sweater, her brown
hair
hanging down her back, and her leather jacket in her arms she went in search of her mom and dad.
She needed to get out of the house for awhile and going to the local library would be helpful to her.
She found her mom in the sunroom and her dad had gone out with Alpha Stan.

“Mom, can I borrow the car for awhile?” she asked and Stacy looked at her youngest daughter in concern.  She could see the black circles underneath her eyes and knew that she had not been sleeping properly.

“Sure,” she said handing her the key
s that she kept in her pocket,
“Is there anything wrong?”  Emily smiled at her as she got to her feet.  “Nothing, mom,” she said giving her a kiss on the cheek as she
said
goodbye heading out the door.

A few hours later, everyone was sitting in the living room when Emily came through the door with a notebook and a few other things in her hands.

“Where did y
ou go?” Sasha called out as
Emily pass
ed
the living room entrance.  Emily had to back up and she sighed wearily.

“I went to the library,” she answered honestly.  They all looked at her in confusion as Sissy and Krystal laughed.

Sasha was about to say something when she noticed Emily swaying on her feet.

“Emily,” she called jumping to her feet and rushing over.

“Sorry,” Emily said blinking at her with tired eyes.

Sasha just shook her head as she placed an arm around her shoulders and tur
ned
her around before saying over their shoulders, “I am going to help her upstairs.  She really needs to get some sleep.”

“You are not kidding,” Jay heard Emily mumble before they were out of sight.

“There must be something wrong with that girl for she is constantly sleeping,” Sissy said with a hint of sarcasm.  Cass looked at Stacy and Jacob, and saw the worry in their faces.  She frowned for
she had a feeling
they were
not telling them something important about Emily
but her attention
averted when Sissy said, “Jay, how about taking me out to dinner tonight?”

Jay thinking about Emily, said, “Why don’t we all go?
What do you think, Dad?”

Stan was quick to give his approval and they made plans to go out to dinner.  When it was time to go though, Stacy said, “Emily is still sleeping and I rather stay here to keep an eye on her.”  Sissy and Krystal giggled in glee as the others nodded their heads.  Jay was the last to leave and he asked before walking out, “Is Emily okay, ma’am?”

Stacy looked at him for a moment before she answered, “She is fine, Jay, you go and enjoy yourself.”

Jay nodded his head but as he walked to the vehicle tha
t Mark and him was riding in with
Sasha and the other women; he knew that he was not going to enjoy himself.

Stacy went back upstairs to peek in on Emily and she found her tossing and turning in bed.  Stacy did not know what do for her as she watched her go through another vision.  She settled down finally after a few minutes, and Stacy backed out slowly closing the door quietly.  Emily snuggled deeper into
her pillow as she focused on her secret place; a field of flowers with the sun shining brightly but something was different about it this time.  In the distance she could see the shadow of man and as he came closer his
green ey
es flashed with
love and concern.  She felt as if they were telling
her
Look at me, onl
y at me; I will be here for you
as he continued working closer to her although he was still just a shadow, but she felt safe with him.

She took comfort in her dream man with the green eyes,
and she finally drifted off to a peaceful sleep without visions or dreams for the first time in days.
