When he belched and settled into a well-earned rest, Mel looked at Dornin and kissed him. “We did good.”

“It took some doing, but we did good.” He rubbed his forehead against hers. “Next time girls?”

“You still hooked on the idea of twins?”

He grinned. “I am. No one else has them, but I am confident you can manage it.”

Mel sighed and rested against him. “I am tired just thinking about it, but if you can get the eggs, I am willing to try.”

Dornin stroked the fluffy head of the dozing baby. “They have already been located. We just need a few weeks to wait for them to be laid.”

“Are you trying to populate the world with little half Terrans?”

“If you are willing, I am.” He smiled and rocked the chair slowly.

Mel thought about the possibilities of being overrun with kids, and she couldn’t think of a down side.

Yes, I got all sentimental and weird. It happens.
