“Hu-nter…noooo.” She managed a sob that shook both of our chests. One I couldn’t stand to feel. I was done. We were done.
The pounding of heavy footsteps in the distance made my pulse jump. He was coming. He knew…but he wouldn’t win this time. It was too late.
My eyes connected with Tessa’s light green ones and flashes of friends and family began blinding me. Tessa’s smile stretched across her face as she waved me closer. We were still young. Still so happy. Tears. Yes, I was crying. Further, my finger pulled back and a sound escaped me involuntarily.
“Tessa!” The echoing roar that grew closer didn’t disrupt my moment.
Cold bit into my skin from the cool breeze rustling the leaves in the trees. Winter was in full swing in Austin, but we didn’t care. All we wanted was to be together, and now we would. I was going to turn back time. I was going to mend this right here and now.
“Do you think we’ll always be this happy, Hunter?”
Dark hair blew back from the gust of wind and I smiled, pressing my lips into Tessa’s as we sat on her parent’s porch swing. She was staring at me with all the love I felt for her. The green of her eyes were darker and her lips were only a light pink. Yes, she looked perfect. She was human. This was the way things were meant to be. The way things would end.
“I know we will be. Forever. I’ll make sure of it. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for you, Tessa.”
BAM!
To be continued…
About the Author
Alaska is an erotic BDSM author who also goes by the pen names Jennifer Salaiz and Jenny May. She lives in the Houston area...for now. She's a dreamer, and longs for the day when her husband and kids can load up in the car and drive until their hearts’ content. Adventure and discovering new places play a huge role in Alaska's life. It drives her, and feeds the creativity of coming up with new locations for her stories.
Within the last two years, Alaska and her family have drove across the country twice, and also drove the distance from Texas to California three times. Asked, if she could choose one place to permanently settle down, where it would be, Alaska laughed. "Montana, today. Tomorrow, it may be Alaska, again. I go back and forth."
When Alaska’s not dreaming of spontaneously hitting the road to find a new place to write about, she's being a mother and wife. If you're looking to connect with her to learn more, feel free to email her at
