She stared at her creation, her heart swelling with pride. She loved drawing ships under full sail. For her, they came alive on the page. When she began drawing ships as a child, she could imagine herself standing on the fo’c’sle deck looking out into the ocean and watching the waves as they parted under her bow. Even now, she could almost feel the wind in her hair and the spray on her face as the bow sluiced through the water.

She could imagine it, just as much as she could imagine a babe in her arms this time next year. And both this drawing and that child of her dreams might become reality if Mr. Watkins sold the deal to the Englishman.

Sandy Raven has a husband who spoils her rotten and kids who are just a hair’s breadth away from perfect. She’s addicted to
House Hunters International
and has
never
missed an episode, though she acknowledges that she could never live in most of those countries because the houses are just too small. She is also addicted to Starbucks’ chai latte and never passes up an opportunity to have one.

Sandy grew up on the Texas Gulf Coast with sand between her toes and perpetually frizzy hair, which is why she now lives in the middle-of-nowhere Virginia in a place with minimal to moderate humidity (for perfect, non-frizzy curls), rolling hills, and farmed forests. The only downside to living where there are no lines on the paved roads is having to drive at least one hour to get herself a chai latte.

Her home is a renovated old farmhouse she shares with her hero husband in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, where she’s owned by more cats, dogs, and horses than she cares to admit. She’s a long-time member of the Romance Writers of America and a member of the Virginia Romance Writers and the Beau Monde. Second to writing is her love for her horses. She practices natural horsemanship and loves to ride her barefoot Tennessee Walkers on the trails and in the woods around her home.

Books by author Sue London

I hope you’re enjoying the Caversham Chronicles so far!

While you’re waiting for LUCKY’S LADY to come out (hopefully in late summer,) I
can
recommend a good friend whose stories are filled with adventure and romance—just like mine! So if you’re interested in other authors writing in the same genre, my friend Sue London has a new Valentine’s Day novella out, (also a part of her Haberdashers series.) Her next full-length book will be out at the end of March, and Amazon is already taking pre-orders for it. If you like the novella as much as I did, then you’ll have time to read the first two books in the series (and the Christmas novella!) before the third book comes out next month!

Here’s the link to her author page on Amazon with all her books and novellas listed:

Here’s the series and books’ descriptions:

The Haberdashers

In 1805 three little girls decided to create a “boys club” because boys have more fun. Their childhood was filled with sword fighting, horse racing, and archery. Now in 1815 they are all grown up and expected to join Society. Who will marry such independent and deadly misses?

Trials of Artemis

(Regency, Hot) Loving Lord Lucifer…

An independent bluestocking sneaks into a library to read rare Greek texts and ends up with a husband instead.

Jacqueline “Jack” Walters loves archery and Greek military history. In her third season she has failed to inspire so much as one marriage proposal and is planning to settle into the quiet life of a spinster.

Gideon Wolfe, Earl of Harrington, has been avoiding marriage but a case of mistaken identity in the library has left him saddled with an argumentative and unwilling fiancée.

Athena’s Ordeal

The Duke of Beloin mistakes a Viscount’s daughter for a fallen woman, an error he can hardly afford while trying to divine which of his enemies is blackmailing him.

Sabrina “Sabre” Bittlesworth has practiced the sword since she was eight years old, so when a mysterious visitor in her brother’s house offers to make her his mistress she challenges him to a duel, even after she finds out he’s a duke.

Quincy Telford, Duke of Beloin, has hated Viscount Bittlesworth as long as he can remember. Now the man’s daughter is constantly in his path. Can he escape her temptation and avoid peril in the increasingly dangerous game of cat and mouse he is playing with his blackmailer?
