“Sophia asked me again how many days to Christmas,” Howard said.

“She’s just excited,” Gordy told him with a chuckle.

“I know,” Howard said.

“So.” Gordy moved closer, and Token settled at Howard’s feet. “What do you want for Christmas?”

Howard located the portrait Ken had given him. “I have everything I could ever want, right here.” Howard ran his fingertips over the portrait. His family—Gordy and Sophia. The best Christmas present ever.
