Acknowledgments
Recently given a test on facts about my husband’s unit, I scored 60%. Fail! Don’t tell Matt, but I mislabeled two of his armored vehicles, which I’m sure he has pointed out and named at least a dozen times or more. The truth is, there is so much to learn living in the military community, and I am far from expert. Therefore, I have many people to recognize for helping me iron out the details—Libby Robinson, Ramona Decker, and Kristen Schoellhorn, for answering all my questions about deployments, acronyms, and the medical industry in our military (and for making me laugh when I seriously needed it). Any mistakes are my own interpretation and twisting of those details.
Thanks to my sister, Melanie Reyes, who helped me pick through the Spanish, translating entire lines that eventually hit the cutting room floor. Thanks for being my sounding board and a true supporter of my romantic endeavors.
To all my wonderful, awesome Passionate Critters. You instigated this story and have seen it through to the end. I would be in dire straights without your moral and grammatical support.
Lewis Pollak, who believed in my writing even before he had a manuscript he could sell. He worked like crazy to help me make this story the best it could be. Thanks for truly seeing the big picture.
