The long two
week journey of the
Vixen VI
was almost at an end and the
cockpit window of the freight ship now looked out upon the orange
sphere of Dildone where once it had shown only the infinity of
space.

“Come on Joe!”
Protested Aevie. “There’s lots of time before we need to be there.
I wanna fuck your brains out!”
“You always do this!” Exclaimed Joe, laughing as his tried without
success to disentangle himself from her embrace. “Every time we
land you’re always wanting to fuck! Look, let’s get this cargo
delivered and we’ll take off again and we can make love to your
heart’s content.”
“We’d better,” warned Aevie.

Joe expertly
manoeuvred the freight ship down into the planet’s atmosphere and
lowered it down into the spaceport below in an operation that took
all of three hours. As Aevie helped she glanced out of the window
at the dusty shacks and buildings that formed the empire and gave
an involuntary shudder, yearning for the shimmering tall towers of
Venus on which they shared an apartment.

“Come along,”
said Joe to Aevie, pressing in the key code to open the hatch after
the landing operation was complete. “I want to be off this medieval
shit hole of a planet as soon as possible.”

Not many
serious traders bothered to come to Dildone preferring the richer
pickings of the Confederation Planets, for the planet had little to
trade of its own. Small time traders were the only ones who visited
with any regularity and as a consequence the spaceport was quiet
with only a few ships docked. But Aevie and Joe were young and
ambitious and they had a valuable cargo on board. A lack of ships
meant Dildone paid better than most for vital resources and Joe and
Aevie were determined to take full advantage. Gabor walked up and
down, supervising the unloading operations. When he saw there was
orestone on the
Vixen VI
he went over immediately, for such
a commodity was rare and highly valued here on Dildone.

“The two of you
seem very young to be delivering such a large consignment,” said
Gabor doubtfully as the slaves opened up the hatches to the ship’s
storage compartment.
“All our licences and paperwork are in order,” replied Joe
confidently. “We’re a fully qualified pilot and navigator from the
college of Olympus Mons. Would you like to see our
credentials?”
“No, just the orestone,” replied Gabor.

“It’s taking
longer than usual,” remarked Aevie as they waited for Gabor to
finish his inspection.
“You know what these primitive planets are like,” shrugged Joe.
“Probably looking around for somebody who can read.”
Heavy footsteps sounded behind them as Gabor reappeared. “You two
are to come with me now,” he said authoritatively. “The Emperor is
going to want to see this personally.”
“What is it?” Demanded Aevie, but at that moment a contingent of
soldiers appeared, their laser pistols pointed towards them. Joe
and Aevie raised their hands. Gabor beckoned them forwards and they
were forced to follow.

“What could it
mean?” Whispered Aevie as they were marched up the stone steps
towards the Emperor’s chamber. “Why would the Emperor want to see
us?”
“Try not to worry,” replied Joe, sounding a lot calmer than her
felt. “I’m sure it’s nothing. He’ll probably want to haggle or
something like that, or perhaps he has a mission for us.”
“A mission?” Said Aevie uncertainly.
“Well I don’t know, you never can tell with these tribal kings,”
replied Joe in a fluster.

The Emperor was
hung-over after the festival of the day before and this, coupled
with the news from Gabor, had put him into a foul mood as he
lounged around on his throne with his feet up. He nonetheless
leered at Aevie as she was dragged before him. Aevie looked with
distaste at the garishly painted walls and rich red carpets which
seemed to her to resemble something out of an opera. “I had no idea
they were allowing mere pups to power the starships now,” muttered
the Emperor contemptuously. “Perhaps it is no surprise you are in
so much trouble.”
“What do you mean?” Demanded Aevie. “We have brought the orestone
as you ordered.”
“Oh really?” Replied the Emperor, a thin and humourless smile
playing about his lips. He raised his head. “Step forward, Gabor,”
he ordered sharply. “And show these two clowns what you have
discovered.”

“Painted
coals,” said Gabor flatly, holding up one of the so called
orestones and rubbing it until it started to turn black. “A
clumsier fraud I never did see, Excellency.”
“You must think me a total fool,” breathed the Emperor furiously.
“Why I am more incensed by the obviousness of this fraud that the
act itself.”
“Emperor I swear we had no idea,” protested Joe, his eyes wide with
horror. He was kicking himself for having been fooled so
easily.

“A likely
story,” muttered the Emperor. “Oh but it is a shame the festival is
over your deaths would have made a fine finale. As it is I suppose
I shall just have to kill you for my own private enjoyment.”

“Please
Emperor,” said Joe. “This was entirely my fault. My navigator here
knew nothing of any of this. I am the one to blame.”
“Then you are the one who shall be punished,” declared the Emperor.
He turned to his guards. “Seize him!”

Before Joe had
had the chance to react three guards came forward and pinioned his
arms behind his back, forcing him to his knees. Aevie cried out and
rushed to his aid but she too was dragged back and held firm by
strong hands. The Emperor turned to Gabor and nodded. Gabor went to
the chest behind the throne, opened it and raised aloft the
ceremonial golden axe. Joe’s eyes widened when he saw it but he was
determined he would not cry out.
“No!” Cried Aevie in anguish. “Please! Anything but that! It was an
accident! An accident!”
Fear not my dear girl the axe is not for you,” purred the Emperor
maliciously. “After all, your name is not down on the deeds of this
little catastrophe. I am well aware of the law, you know, and the
law allows me to seek suitable retribution for when I am deceived.”
He turned to Gabor. “Step forward,” he ordered. “And do your
work.”
A guard stepped forward, seized a hold of Joe’s hair and pulled it
down, bearing his neck for the axe. “I love you, Aevie!” Exclaimed
Joe bravely. “Look away, my darling. Close your eyes and do not
look again until you are back in the sunlight!”
“No!” Screamed Aevie at the Emperor, tears pouring from her eyes.
“You want retribution? Let the retribution be me! Let me join your
harem! Let me be your slave.”
“Wait.” The Emperor raised his hand. Gabor paused with the axe half
raised above Joe’s head. The Emperor rose to his feet and stepped
right up to Aevie, examining her closely, his eyes exploring every
inch of her body. “I cannot deny I like what I see my dear girl,”
he said quietly.
“You cannot do this!” cried Joe. “Please, Aevie, this will be a
fate worse than death for you!”
“Your death would be a death for me as well,” replied Aevie. “But a
slow and lingering one. At least now we will both be alive. At
least now when one of us looks at the stars we will know that
somewhere the other is able to do the same.”
“Please Emperor!” Begged Joe. “She is all I have. Take me! Take
me!”
“Let us just have two minutes,” pleaded Aevie. “Just to say
goodbye.”
The Emperor considered for a moment. “No,” he said eventually. He
glared at Joe. “I am sick of the sight of you already but I don’t
think I will ever get sick of the sight of your girlfriend.”
Suddenly his hand went into his trousers and he whipped out his
cock, brandishing it towards Joe and jiggling it up and down like
it was some sort of obscene fitting snake. “Take a look at this!”
He exclaimed delightedly. “This is what I’m going to put into your
girlfriend. Pretty big, ain’t it boy? Can you compete with this?
Why I reckon I shall fucking destroy her!”
“Joe!” Cried Aevie as her lover made to retort. “Please Joe! You
need to get out of this place! Go now, without looking back, and be
happy! Forget about me Joe!”
“I shall never forget about you!” Shouted Joe desperately as burly
guards came to drag him away. “I love you Aevie!” He began to sob
uncontrollably. Aevie was sobbing too. “I love you!”

Aevie was
dragged into a cell and locked inside for several hours. She sat
down on the hard bunk and tried her best to compose herself. The
abrupt change in her circumstances had yet to sink in. Aevie was in
a daze. She had stopped crying now but her legs were shaking, she
had gone deathly pale and feared she was on the verge of passing
out. She was barely aware when the tall blonde girl entered the
room and started speaking to her.
“My name is Rhonda,” said the girl. “I’m like the gang mistress
around here.”
Aevie looked up at her, face creasing in hatred. “Fuck you, you
goddamned fucking bitch,” she spat.

Rhonda cackled
loudly. “I love it when people like you are taken down a peg or
two,” she sneered. “We get all sorts you know: queens, princesses,
even the odd president crash-landed and unable to pay the ransom.
They’re all high and mighty to begin with but believe me it only
takes a week and they’re simpering wimps, dead inside and living
only to serve. It won’t take us long with you, girl, mark my
words.” Rhonda stood aside and pointed to the exit. “Now out,” she
ordered sharply. “It is time to become acquainted with your new
quarters.”

Already Aevie hated everything about Rhonda. She hated her
arrogance and her superiority and the way in which she had betrayed
her sex by enabling the oppression of her fellow women. Rhonda
looked towards Aevie doubtfully. She had a bad feeling about this
girl. She did not like the way she still held her head high after
all that had happened to her. Most girls in her position would have
been well and truly broken by now. Still, Rhonda relished a
challenge. She was certain she could have Aevie sobbing
submissively at her feet before the week was through. “So you were
a navigator huh?” She asked her. “Spent time at one of those big
shiny colleges those trade pilots are always talking about.”
“Three years; qualified last year,” replied Aevie.
“I see,” mused Rhonda. “So it sounds like you were worth something
back in the Confederation.”
“I had ambitions.”
“Really? Well down here you ain’t worth shit,” snapped Rhonda
harshly. “And your only ambition is to suck and fuck well enough to
avoid the axe until your tits sag and we cast you out on to the
street. Step out of line and I’m going to cane your ass until it
resembles a fucking asteroid strike.”

As they walked
Aevie looked around with distaste at the stone walls and dusty
tapestries which lined the corridors. She knew some would find the
place grand but to a girl raised against the bright lights of
twenty-fifth century Venus the place looked positively despairing.
Her room was little more than a cubicle with space for nothing more
than a single bed and a chest of drawers. Rhonda reached into the
drawers. “Here, put this on.” She tossed Aevie a flimsy gown that
cut off mid-thigh. “Wear it at all times,” Rhonda ordered. “It
ain’t as though you’ll have anything else to wear. You get a fresh
one every day. Also, there’s makeup and lipstick and everything
else in the bathroom. You’ve got to look your best at all times in
case the Emperor sends for you. Believe me I’m not shy with the old
whip so it wouldn’t do to annoy me. Now take off all your clothes
and put it on.”

Rhonda watched
Aevie strip with a thin smile playing across her face. She thought
she would hesitate when it came to removing her bra and panties but
instead Aevie removed these without hesitation. “Seems you might
turn out to be the perfect slut,” breathed Rhonda.
“What?” asked Aevie. “I got naked all the time in the communal
showers back at college. I’m not nervous about appearing before
you. See, you want a better look?” She spread her hands and
performed a slow pirouette.

Rhonda smiled.
“Perfect ass, perfect tits, long legs and a perfectly passable
face,” she said appreciatively. “You know what, Aevie? I think
you’re going to end up getting fucked ragged.”
Aevie looked at Rhonda with malice and quickly put on the gown,
buckled it up tight.

Rhonda pointed
to a locket hanging around Aevie’s neck. “What’s that?” She
demanded. “I thought I told you to take it all off.”
“It’s just my locket,” replied Aevie defensively. “Joe gave it to
me to celebrate – well to celebrate our first year together.
Please, Rhonda, let me keep it, it’s all I have to remind me of
him.”
“Did you not hear what I just said bitch?” Snapped Rhonda harshly,
reaching forward and snatching the locket off Aevie’s neck,
breaking the chain as she did so. “Your Joe might as well be dead
now. You don’t have any man except the Emperor. I can see I’m going
to have to teach you a lesson, but that will have to wait. I have
other things to do than wait around for my turn to get
screwed.”

Aevie gritted
her teeth and clenched her fists. She was very close to punching
Rhonda and beating the living hell out of her but she knew this
would hardly be a prudent move, at least not yet. “So what do I do
now?” She asked uncertainly.
“Just sit around and wait until you are sent for,” replied Rhonda
dismissively. “And believe me you
will
be sent for.
Admittedly the Emperor has a lot of pussy to get through at the
moment, and you can rest assured I will be making full use of his
cock for myself. I suppose I should say if there’s anything else
you need to just come and see me but really, I couldn’t give less
of a shit.”

Joe was
escorted back to his ship at gunpoint and escorted into orbit by a
couple of shuttle fighters. He swore if he ever found the man who
had sold him the faulty orestone he would break every bone in his
body. Once the fighters had turned tail and left him alone he
killed the power. He had not the slightest intention of leaving
Aevie to her fate. To have done so would have meant death to him.
He would sooner have opened the airlocks and allowed himself to be
sucked out into space. Joe turned the ship around so it was facing
Dildone and took a satellite snap of the planet. It appeared the
entire place was swept with constant radar. There was nowhere he
could attempt to land without being spotted. Or almost nowhere. His
instruments pointed to a massive sandstorm taking place along the
Great Desert Plains some five hundred miles from the Emperor’s
capital. Joe knew the manoeuvre was risky; it would mean crash
landing in the middle of a storm but at the same time he was so out
of his mind with despair it was a risk he was prepared to take. He
was determined to find Aevie again even if it meant walking all the
way to that palace with the desert heat on his back and the
sandstorm lashing the flesh from his body.
