WANDA E. BRUNSTETTER
is a bestselling author who enjoys writing historical, as well as Amish-themed novels. Wanda’s interest in the Lehigh Canal began when she married her husband, Richard, who grew up in Pennsylvania, near the canal. Wanda and Richard have made numerous trips to Pennsylvania, where they have several friends and relatives. They’ve walked the towpath, ridden on a canal boat, and toured the lock tender’s house. Wanda hopes her readers will enjoy this historical series as much as she enjoyed researching and writing it.
Wanda and her husband have two grown children and six grandchildren. In her spare time, Wanda enjoys photography, ventriloquism, gardening, reading, stamping, and having fun with her family.
In addition to her novels, Wanda has written two Amish cookbooks, an Amish devotional, several Amish children’s books, as well as many novellas, stories, articles, poems, and puppet scripts.

Kelly Has Big Dreams
Kelly McGregor's life along the Lehigh Canal has nothing in common with the beauty that surrounds her. Forced to help her family survive by driving her father's mules as they pull boatloads of coal to the city, Kelly determines that she will never be stuck in a loveless marriage like her parents. Her dream is to save enough money so that she can escape the drudgery of home and be an artist, sharing the beauty of the world with others.
When a shopkeeper along the canal gives Kelly an outlet for her drawings, she wonders if she may be starting to realize her dream. But as she gets to know Mike and learns about the God he worships, she begins to understand that life may offer even more than she has dared to hope for.
Will Kelly seize this chance for a love like she has never known, or will fear drive her away?
