“I have a vibe?” he asked, grinning and gathering her skirt in his hand, pushing it up her legs.

“You can sure get me to do anything you want.”

“Yeah?” His voice was husky against her ear. “I think you’re the one always making me do the naughty stuff
you
like.”

It was that too. When she’d first realized she was in love with Mac, she’d had to fight hard to convince him that not only did he feel the same way, but that she wasn’t some sweet, innocent, fragile little flower he had to take care of. She had an adventurous sexual streak that was the perfect fit for Mac. It had just taken a little time to prove it.

“You poor thing,” she murmured. “I know it’s torture for you when I make you sit across the room and watch me with that big purple vibrator. Or when I put that naughty angel outfit on and confess all my sinful fantasies.”

Mac shifted and cleared his throat. “Exactly.”

She reached back, her hand finding his hard cock easily. Mac was big all over. Especially when she talked about their sexy games. She pressed and stroked his length, reveling in his soft groan.

“Who else?” she asked, as he moved his hand to the bottom of her T-shirt and slipped underneath. It was too dark for anyone to really see what they were doing. But the idea of having someone watch them certainly didn’t make Sara want to stop.

Mac plucked at her right nipple as he turned his head searching for his other choice for Dooley. “Over by the band,” he said, continuing to play with her. “The girl in black jeans and blue silky shirt,” he said. “Brunette.”

“Yeah. She looks familiar,” Sara said. Then she caught her breath as Mac squeezed her nipple harder.

“She’s Mr. Thompson’s daughter,” he said, naming the high school principal.

Sara squeezed him through his jeans and heard his breath hiss out between his teeth.

“Her story?” she asked when he didn’t say anything.

“Um, lawyer? Hell, princess, I can’t think about any other woman right now.” His voice was husky.

Sara felt a thrill shoot through her, knowing she could do that to him. It didn’t matter how long they were together, she’d never get tired of making him crazy.

“This is why I didn’t wear panties tonight.” Sara stood, turned and straddled her husband’s lap.

He slid his hand up under her skirt, cupping her butt and squeezing. “Let’s find somewhere I can unzip,” he said.

“Yay,” she whispered. She kissed him, running her hands over his head. He’d shaved his head as long as she’d known him and the smooth feel always caused tingles to go from her palms to her toes.

Before the kiss got too hot, though, he gripped her hips in his big hands and lifted her up and off of him.

“I can last about three blocks,” he told her.

It just so happened that she had a key to a door that was two and a half blocks away.

They slipped away, around the corner of the bar that was sponsoring the beer garden, and down the dark sidewalk. Dooley and Kevin would be just fine.

Mac led Sara to the little shop with the two big windows on either side of the front door.
Sara’s
was painted in script letters on the glass. Her logo included a crown sitting tipped to one side on top of the S and a feather duster for the apostrophe.

He smiled every time he saw it. Sara had always been a princess, getting anything she wanted from their entire gang since she was a kid. But as she’d lived in Oscar and traveled in Europe, she’d found that she was capable of a lot more than anyone had given her credit for. He’d teased her about being a Cinderella story in reverse—she’d gone from princess to scrubbing and sweeping rather than the other way around—but her face glowed when she thought or talked about the cleaning business she ran all by herself.

Eventually the shop would also be her massage therapy clinic, but she still had several months of classes to go. At first, she’d thought she needed to choose between massage and her cleaning business but then she’d realized she could have everything she wanted.

Including the fun of renovating the shop space on her own. Mostly. Their friends had all pitched in, of course, but Sara was enjoying doing as much as she could with her own two hands.

Speaking of her two hands…

The minute she had the door unlocked, Mac reached around and pushed it open, crowding in and nudging her inside with his body. Then his hands were all over her, pulling her T-shirt up and off and unhooking her bra in one swift motion. He cupped her breasts, rubbing her nipples with his thumbs, making her whimper.

She reached for his fly and got his jeans unsnapped and unzipped before he could push her skirt from her hips.

The moment his cock was free, Sara wrapped her hand around the base and pumped up and down his length.

“God, princess,” he groaned.

Sara hadn’t been completely innocent when they’d gotten together, but thanks to his overprotectiveness, and that of the other guys, she hadn’t had a lot of boyfriends. She’d been innocent in many of the things Mac liked and he’d enjoyed every second of teaching her how to push the boundaries of her pleasure. And his.

She’d been an avid student.

She pushed him further into the shop, past where the glow from the streetlights could reach. Once in the shadows she went to her knees.

“Sara—” Mac started, but he broke off when she dragged her tongue from his tip to base.

He, of course, loved oral sex and had made sure to teach Sara everything about how to please him. What he hadn’t expected was how much she would like doing it.

He bit off a curse when she took the top third of his shaft in her mouth, sliding up and down the rest with her fist. He was too big for her to take completely, but it never mattered. Every suck, every lick, every moan from her was enough to nearly make him lose his mind.

He slid in and out several times, his hand cupping her head as she sucked him. It took every ounce of control to keep from thrusting as she ran her hands up the outside of his thighs, then around to grip his ass, pulling him forward.

“Desk. Now,” he panted.

He loved doing her on her desk. He knew every time she sat down to do paperwork or answer the phone, she thought of him.

Just like she thought of him whenever she sat down at their kitchen table, or got in the shower, or put a cup on their coffee table. He made sure that everywhere she was, she knew she belonged to him. No other man could ever love her like he did and that included physically as well as heart and soul.

Sara didn’t follow his direction immediately. She continued to stroke him and suck, clearly as lost in the sensations as he was. He arched his back and closed his eyes, knowing he should pull her away. He could easily lift her and put her on the desk, do whatever he wanted to her. She totally trusted him and everything he did was for her pleasure. There was no reason for her to ever worry, and she knew it almost better than he did.

Most often she let him take the lead in their lovemaking, doing anything he asked with enthusiasm. But there were times when she thought he was holding back, like he’d done when he was first getting used to being with her in such an intimate way. If she felt he was giving her less than everything, she always found ways of pulling it all out of him.

It amazed him that she knew him well enough to always push the right buttons.

“Sara,” he said more urgently. “Desk.”

He’d been sure to help her buy the sturdiest they could find, knowing he’d want to use it like this. He wanted to be on her mind as much as she was on his.

Finally he hauled her to her feet and she gave him a naughty smile before she walked backward as she shimmied her skirt off, letting it lay where it fell. She stopped when her butt bumped the desk and she lifted herself up onto the edge.

Two steps brought him to her and he grasped her hips, pulling her forward and sinking deep.

She lay back, wrapped her legs around him, locked her ankles and met his thrusts.

Only a few strokes in and he could feel her already beginning to climb toward her orgasm. He forced himself to stay with her rather than sprinting ahead. A moment later, she tumbled over the edge with the little cry he loved hearing over and over.

He picked up the pace.

“We really should…” she panted, “…definitely write a glowing review…” she breathed again, “…for this desk.”

That, of all things, sent him over the edge. He felt his grin spread wide, his heart expand, and love for her rush through him even as the climax claimed him.

Their breathing had just returned to normal and she’d shifted her butt off of the invoices she needed to pay on Monday, when Mac’s phone rang.

He had never fully kicked free of his jeans so he bent and pulled the phone from the pocket as Sara giggled. He swatted her butt as she bent to retrieve her own clothes and almost told her to wait. He could easily get up in time to take her from behind before they went home.

But his phone rang again.

“Yeah?” he asked shortly, watching Sara pull her T-shirt on without her bra. Her nipples were prominent against the soft cotton and Mac determined they were going straight home.

“Mac, it’s Dooley. Get your ass over here.”

Or maybe not straight home. “What’s wrong?” He reached to pull his underwear and jeans up.

“We’re going to need a ride back to Omaha,” Dooley said, sounding thoroughly disgusted.

“What happened?”

Sara was fully dressed—with the obvious exception of undergarments—and she frowned. “Who is it?” she mouthed.

“Dooley,” he told her.

“One of the lovely ladies you set Kevin up with wants us to stay in town. She and her friend, who is apparently perfect for me by the way, made sure we’d have to,” Dooley said, “by writing ‘We love you’ and other, more graphic, things all over our car windows with toothpaste, piling panties all over the seats, dousing the car in their perfume, and last but not least, letting the air out of our tires.”

Mac paused for a long moment. He shouldn’t laugh. It wasn’t funny. It was borderline
Fatal Attraction
. But he could only imagine Dooley’s face—and better, Kevin’s face—when they first saw the car.

“Well, it’s nice to be wanted, isn’t it?” he asked.

“Do you have any idea what a fuckin’ mess toothpaste is? And it’s all over!”

Mac couldn’t fight his grin and was glad they weren’t there in person. “Okay, okay, I’m on my way. You want to stay at the house tonight and we’ll clean the car up tomorrow?”

“No, you’re taking us back to Omaha
now
,” Dooley said. “And
you’re
cleaning the damned car up tomorrow and bringing it back to me.”

“Be right there.” Mac disconnected and burst out laughing. He didn’t care if he had to clean up toothpaste. This story was going to be so worth it.

“I have to go to Omaha,” he told Sara.

She was grinning. “So I hear.”

“I’m also thinking we’re officially off the committee for finding Dooley and Kevin true love.”

“They’re going to let a little toothpaste get in the way of true love?”

Mac laughed. “Yes. Along with the flattened tires.”

“Well, we can always try matchmaking again when Ava and our other nieces and nephews get older.”

“Agreed. Though I think we should keep that plan to ourselves.”

She snickered. “Probably a good idea.”

He let her through the door before him and locked it behind him.

“Sara Gordon, you are my type of girl.”

“Damn right.”

It was impossible to distinguish the love and possessiveness from the happiness and satisfaction that coursed through him at moments like this. “Damn right.”

Chapter Five

The Gang

“She has seventeen guinea pigs.”

Danika laughed and rolled her eyes. “No she doesn’t.”

“There were rodents in her house,” Dooley said, tipping his beer back. Ellen had been the third set-up in Project Marry Kevin and Dooley Off and he was done. Rodents were the icing on this weird cake.

The toothpaste, panties and flattened tires should have been, but he’d agreed to one more date, set up by Dani and Sam.

He was regretting it just as much.

“She has
seven hamsters
,” Dani corrected him.

“What’s the difference?”

“Guinea pigs are a hell of a lot bigger than hamsters,” Sam said, handing Kevin a soda and Mac another beer.

“And seventeen is ten more than seven,” Mac added.

“Trust me,” Dooley said, “that only brings her down a couple of notches on the crazy meter.”

“The crazy meter?” Sara asked. “Did you measure me on this?”

“We measure
every
girl on it,” Dooley assured her.

“How’d I score?” Sara wanted to know.

The guys all exchanged looks but Sam was the one to say, “Up until you decided you were in love with Mac you mostly stayed on the normal end. Mac shot you way to the crazy side though.”
