“I won’t let you just walk away,” she said and placed her head against his chest so she could hear his heart beating beneath her ear.
His hand came up to stroke her hair. “I’ll always be at risk when I go out there.”
She nodded. A tear slipped down her cheek and landed on his chest. “I’d rather have the time I can with you than nothing at all.” She pulled her head back to stare into his eyes. “I love you,” she said.
Johnny stopped moving, and for a moment, she thought it might have been the wrong thing to say, but she didn’t care. He had to know her feelings.
His mouth closed over hers in a soft kiss. After a moment, he pulled back to stare down at her again.
“I will always love you, Madelyn Peterson. From now until my last breath, my heart will always belong to you.”
Her heart swelled at his words. Knowing that he felt the same way was all she needed.
Maddy reached her arms around his neck, and she kissed him hard, enjoying the way their bodies seemed to move together of their own mind.
Johnny groaned against her mouth.
“Maddy,” he warned.
She rubbed her bare breasts against his chest and let her stomach press against his hard cock. “I seem to remember a promise that was made.”
Johnny grinned down at her. “You would remember that.”
She huffed loudly. “So you were lying?”
His eyes sparkled as he stared at her with the same predatory look in his eyes that he seemed to get when he was about to really rock her world.
“Oh, I plan on keeping that promise.” He pushed her down on the bed, his hard body covering hers. “I plan on keeping that promise every day of my remaining leave.”
She placed a hand on his chest. “You’ve still got time off?” She was confused that he was going to be home after everything that had just happened.
“The threat is neutralized for now. Williamson and his lap dog got away, but we’ll catch them and make them pay at some point. For now, Clint wants us home, ready for whatever the higher ups send our way.”
She grinned from ear to ear. Not only would she get him for a whole week, but they would be stateside for some time.
Johnny placed several kisses against her neck. “Did I ever tell you how amazing you are?”
She smiled at him, her whole heart warm with his love. “I don’t think I could ever get tired of it.”
He leaned in and placed a soft kiss against her mouth. “Then I think I’ll just have to tell you every day for the rest of my life.”
“I think I might like it better if you showed me.”
Johnny grinned and moved his hand down her body. “You really are amazing.”

Author Bio
Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun in Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, she was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she stated on more than one occasion before moving to Arizona how much she hated heat, it was an odd move, but it seems her hatred for sub-zero temperatures and ice has won out in the end.
When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer, she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic, but with her husband beside her, there’s nothing she can’t handle.
