They watched a few crime movies and lazed around the rest of the day before Heaven fell asleep.
Heaven woke abruptly in the middle of the night to see Julian heading towards the door.
“Where are you going?” she snapped in fear.
“Just checking the lock,” he answered, wiggling the handle to make sure it was locked.
Heaven scrambled out of bed and flew across the room to stand beside him.
“I’ll just help you.” She shrugged nonchalantly, but Julian could see her fear beneath her feigned indifference.
“Another bad dream?”
“Yes.”
“You should rest,” he murmured, cupping the side of her face with his large hand.
“I’ll rest when you rest,” she answered. The closer he was to her, the safer she felt.
“All right, you can help but only for a minute. Then you’re getting back in that bed.” He picked her up and walked over to check the windows.
“How can you check the windows while holding me?”
“I’ll hold you with one arm and work with the other.”
“Do you really think Gavin would try to escape?” she questioned as he checked the locked window.
“If you’re locked up securely, it won’t make a difference,” Julian answered.
“What if he does come back?” She was unable to hide the fear in her eyes.
“You don’t have anything to worry about. I would kill Gavin before I let him touch you again,” he claimed with a certainty that put her at ease.
“But if you’re too focused on keeping me safe, you might forget your own safety. I want you to keep both of us secure.” She laid her head on his shoulder as he wrapped both arms around her.
He held her tightly. “I’m always safe; I told you to stop worrying about me.”
“I can’t help it,” she said as tears misted her eyes. “Gavin tried to kill you; I can’t get it out of my head. I am so afraid to lose you. I love you so much…and this is just not some ordinary love. I hated you so much that I now truly appreciate my love for you. I
cannot
lose you, Julian!”
“You’ll never lose me. I’ll be by your side until the day that I die,” he assured her, “you’ll never get rid of me.”
“I don’t want to get rid of you.”
“Leave the worrying to me.” He kissed her lips gently.

Julian lay next to Heaven. She had intertwined her body with his, and it felt so soft against his that he thought he would ejaculate on the spot. He could feel her nipple against his chest. He tried to zone it out and focus on getting to sleep, but he couldn’t. Her soft, even breathing was like a whisper to him, begging him to touch her. He crept out of the bed and went straight to the bathroom.
He attempted self-ejaculation, but he couldn’t ejaculate. It was if his sperm decided to hold back until they were inside of her. He tried everything, but nothing worked. His attempts only made his condition worse and made him want Heaven even more. He might as well be impotent if he weren’t inside her.
He walked back into the bedroom to see her spread across the bed. He whimpered as he walked to the bed. He was torn—part of him wanted to jump in the bed and hold her close, while the other part cringed at the thought.

The following night proved to be almost intolerable for Julian. Heaven, on the other hand, was feeling much better.
“How do you feel?” he asked, running his hand down her cheek.
“I have a slight headache, and I’m still a little shaken up. Even a little nervous but strangely, I’m also a bit happy.”
“Happy?”
“That we’re alive, that Gavin’s gone and the saboteur is gone. Our life starts now. We just survived a traumatic situation. You know, like that horror film where people are subjected to horrific, life-threatening situations in order to appreciate what they already have. I know it’s morbid and semi-twisted, but that’s how I feel. I feel brand new! I want to do everything that I refused to do before. I want to eat chocolate until I puke. I want to quit working out; I want to run around the house naked; I want to jump out of a plane and go bungee jumping, but most of all I want to have nonstop sex you.”
“You need to get some rest; that medicine made you loopy.” He pushed the tendrils back from her face as she yawned and stretched.
He flinched when he noticed her round breasts pressing against the fabric of her nightgown.
“I don’t need to rest;
you’re
the one who needs to rest. I’ll rest if you rest with me,” she said as she tugged on his arm.
“Let me check the door." He tried to stand, but she grabbed him.
“It’s locked, we already double-checked it.” She tugged him down next to her. “Just lay with me for a little while. You need to rest.”
He couldn’t resist her soft tone. Nor could he resist the way her body felt against his. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close.
“Just for a minute,” he whispered as he smoothed the hair back from her face.
Even though Heaven protested that she wasn’t the least bit tired, she promptly fell asleep.
Julian held her as she slept. Being near her these last few days had been hard, but this was pure torture. She was getting healthy and becoming more like herself. He was having more and more difficulty resisting. He wanted to touch her; he wanted to strip her down and kiss every inch of her body in appreciation. He wanted to embed himself deep inside of her and not let go until morning.
He refused to touch her even though his cock felt as if it would burst at the base. The doctor had told her to take it easy. Well, what he wanted to do did not involve taking it easy. He wanted to fuck her repeatedly until they both passed out. His need for her was growing out of control, and he knew once he started, nothing could stop him. All it would take was one touch. Lying next to her now was beyond torture. He fought the urge to slip his hand between her legs.
His mind was screaming,
Just one little touch! She said she’s feeling better!
Nevertheless, he knew where that would lead. He would need to pack his cock in ice to survive through the night like this. That was when he realized that it wouldn’t just be tonight.
Not only did he need to refrain from sex until she was healed, but he also needed to keep his wits about him until she was out of harm’s way. He needed to remain abstinent until he was finished securing the grounds. It would take more than a week to make sure that every section of the mansion was secure. He needed to make sure that there was a camera covering every inch of the property—inside and out.
He wanted no entrance, exit, hallway, room or door unmonitored. He was also going to have a new fence installed around the property. The new fence would be virtually impenetrable; well over seven feet tall and have a line of barbed wire on top. It was going to be unattractive and medieval, but it would do the job.
While Julian was doing all that, he would also need to monitor Heaven closely. Equally important, he
also
needed to be careful while monitoring her. She was too tempting to him, and he feared that he would give in to his craving. The more he was around her—the more he wanted her. He knew if he did slip and give in, he would spend the next week in bed with her and neglect his duties.
He would never stop. It would take everything in his power to withdraw himself from her. In the end, he would have risked her safety for the sex he could have had after he was finished. He would also guarantee that her head injury went from minor to severe.
This was going to be a true test of his endurance, will and determination. He knew that it was going to be one of the hardest things he would ever have to do. However, losing her would be harder, and he would prevent it any way that he knew how.
Nevertheless, he couldn’t go on as he was. He needed to come up with a plan to put some distance between them. He also wanted to get started on security; the sooner he started, the quicker he could get it done. The quicker he got it done, the quicker he could embed his cock inside of Heaven.
When Heaven stirred, Julian’s cock pumped up to a dangerous level. He carefully pulled away from her and quietly slid out of bed. He walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower, stripped, stepped in and let the ice-cold water do its job.
The worst part was that he knew it wouldn’t be his last cold shower. He knew there would be many more to come.
The cold shower eased his pain a bit at first. Then he walked back in the room to see her sleeping. His cock reacted as if he had never taken the cold shower at all. He moaned in frustration, his erection growing with each step. He lay in the bed next to Heaven, trying hard not to touch her. His hands had a mind of their own, and they longed to be all over her.
Feeling Better
Heaven opened only one eye as she woke up. The sun’s bright light shone through one of the windows, but she felt no added pain. She felt refreshed after a good night’s sleep. She stretched lazily, looked over to Julian, and frowned upon seeing his appearance. He was obviously exhausted; his dark hair was disheveled, and his gray irises glowed below the red rings around his eyes.
“How do you feel?” he asked in his usual tone.
“I feel really good; better than I’ve felt since that night.”
“Good,” he said smiling broadly.
“You didn’t sleep again, did you?” she asked.
“I got some rest,” he lied.
“Liar.” She shook her head. She could tell by his puffy eyes and hoarse voice that he hadn’t slept a wink. “You need to get some rest, Julian.”
“I’ll rest when Gavin is in a maximum-security prison.” He rose from the bed and walked over to the intercom to call down to the kitchen. “I’ll have your soup sent up.”
“No way…no more soup…I need some real food. I’m starving, and I want pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. I want one of those steak, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches that your chef prepares, but with no cheese. I also want cheese biscuits and a large glass of apple juice.”
He smiled. “Coming right up.”
“Finally, I thought you’d force me to eat soup for the next year.”
“No, just until you were feeling better. You’re obviously doing much better today.”
“Much better. I should probably call the office and see how everything is going,” she said as she grabbed the phone. He immediately snatched it out of her hand.
“You need to rest and don’t worry about what’s going on at work. You’ll be filled in when you get back.”
“What if something important is going on?”
“Nothing important is going on,” he assured her.
“Have you called the office at all?”
“No.”
“Have you even spoken to your father yet?”
“No,” Julian said with a slight irritation.
“I think you should at least call your father,” she said. Even though he was still angry with his father, she knew that their argument was weighing heavy on Julian.
“Eventually I’ll have to.” It was obvious that he wasn’t ready to talk about Ayden yet.
“Tell me about your mother,” Heaven dared to ask instead.
“There’s nothing to tell.”
“But your father said—“
“Drop it, Princess,” he cut her words off.
“You know all about my dysfunctional family. My mother is the Madam of a brothel, what could be worse?” She knew it was a touchy subject, but she pressed on. She wanted to tell him that he could talk to her, but he put his hand over her mouth, cutting off her words.
“Julia King is a sadistic bitch; that’s all that you need to know,” he growled with a look of pure hatred that shocked Heaven. Over the years, she had seen Julian at different levels of rage. In fact, their arguing had been the reason for his multitudes of anger. However, she had never seen him like this before.
“Sorry.” Heaven quickly sat on his lap and kissed his cheek. “I just wanted you to know that you can talk to me about anything.”
“I know, baby, but there are some things that should not be discussed.”
“I agree,” she replied, realizing how much it bothered him. She put her arms around his shoulders and kissed him again.
“Eventually you will meet her. Right now, you should be thankful for the time you’ve spent not knowing her. Cherish these moments,” he finished with a scowl.
“I cherish all moments with you,” she whispered in his ear.
Heaven felt his pain and wanted to soothe it. She laid her head on his shoulder and held him tightly.

Ayden stood in the same courtroom where he had tried many cases. There he stood with his own attorney, battling his soon-to-be-ex wife. She was claiming that she shot him in self-defense. Luckily, the evidence said something else. Not to mention there was a signed statement from the police officer to whom she had confessed.
“Jail will not help her; she needs professional help.” Ayden said to the judge.
“Professional help? You liar, I’m not crazy; you’re the crazy, adulterous one!” Julia yelled, not helping her case in the least.
“Mrs. Stone, you need to calm down,” her attorney suggested.
