Aaron grunted and trailed his hands up my bare chest. His smooth, warm fingers hardened me even further. I knew I wouldn’t be able to wait longer for some kind of release. Having him against me like that was too damn much.

Gasping for breath, I attacked his neck and he my collarbones, using something he’d learned in our short time together to drive me even crazier. He started nipping and biting them. I swiftly unzipped his pants and reached in to grab his cock, making him moan loudly. Even though we were still quite sore, I thought it time to give my man some much-needed release.

Apparently we agreed, because he did the same and wrapped his fingers around my aching flesh at almost the same time. I was so focused on getting my hands on him—I didn’t even notice him undoing my pants.

Our lips met again harshly as we both clumsily pumped each other’s cocks. I was already on edge and I knew he was too. The shaking of his body was telling. My gut clenched as my orgasm hit me hard. Groaning against Aaron’s mouth, I came all over his hand and the inside of my jeans. He followed me moments later with a sexy growl. Breathing hard, we leaned our foreheads together, trying to gather our wits.

He started chuckling and said, “Well, if you wanted me to continue doing your laundry that badly, all you had to do was ask.”

Bending slightly, I kissed him softly on the lips and gave him my best puppy-dog eyes. “Please, will you continue doing my laundry… and maybe tell me where it is afterward?”

“Maybe.” He stepped back and winked at me, then left the room.

That little shit!

The doc came a few days later to finally give the verdict on Aaron’s eye. To say I was nervous would have been putting it mildly. Thank fuck the doc said everything was fine and there was no permanent damage. Besides that bit of great news, he gave us more by telling us we would be able to resume normal physical activities in about a week. That made Aaron turn a bright shade of red. I knew exactly where his mind went—the same place mine had. Fuck yeah. Finally!

So here we are, at our three-week mark, and are we going at it like a couple of animals? No—because I want to do this right. Somewhere along the way, I got it into my head that I need to take Aaron out and do all the shit real couples do. At least the stuff I’ve heard they do. Everything about our meeting and after has been so unconventional that I want to make something normal.

After swallowing my pride, I ask Addison for some help deciding where to take him on our first date. We toss around several ideas, but none of them seems to suit us. A museum is mentioned, and I can easily see him there, but those places always make me self-conscious. Shooting pool is out too. Although I think Aaron will have fun, I can’t stand the thought of him in some of the places I frequent. Finally, we settle on a carnival that is coming to town. I’m not big on the whole rides thing, but they are going to have a decent live band. Even the idea of playing some of those rigged games sounds fun. Maybe I can win some ridiculous stuffed thing for Aaron and get to laugh at all the strange looks he gets while he carries it around.

Tonight’s going to be a big night for a couple of reasons. The first is obviously because this is our first date. The second is this is the first time Aaron is going out into a large group of people since his attack. He began counseling after being plagued by nightmares after his first solo trip to the store.

We’ve talked a little about what’s bothering him. The complete helplessness he felt at not being able to fight off his attacker has crippled part of him. It kills me that he is afraid to go anywhere by himself. I’ve tried to tell him he’s never truly alone since I have people watching him always. That doesn’t seem to comfort him, though. I don’t want them to crowd him and make him feel like he’s being babysat.

Aaron’s other issue is his guilt over, of all things, not feeling guilty Adam is dead. I tried to explain to him that, for many, the desire for vengeance and the relief that person will never have the chance to hurt them again are natural. No matter what I say, though, it doesn’t seem to change how he feels. So, I let it go once he agreed to counseling.

Aaron steps out of the bedroom and draws me from my thoughts. He looks so fucking hot dressed in simple dark jeans and a black sweater. I want to tackle him and forget the whole idea of this carnival. Instead, I stand up and bring him his leather coat. It’s winter still, but it has been milder lately. As I help him into it, I lean forward and kiss up the side of his neck and nip at his ear.

“You look so fuckin’ hot. You’re going to make this hard on me tonight, aren’t you?” I whisper. Then to prove my point, I grind my hard-on into his ass.

A little breathless, he teases, “Oh, you’re going to be hard most of the night, if I have anything to do with it.” Gazing at my appearance, he adds, “Like you’re making it easy on me. You ready to go?”

With a groan and a nod, we head out. The drive is spent talking about all we want to do. We both agree that most of the rides are out. Our wounds are healing nicely, but we are still sore, and jerky carnival attractions are not appealing.

Aaron reaches over and grasps my hand. “So, what band is going to be there? I haven’t been to a concert in eons. You promise you’ll stay right with me?”

“Of course I’ll stay with you, silly. Where the hell else would I go when I can be with my hot boyfriend? You think I want anyone thinking you’re available?”

Laughing, he shakes his head. “I would hope not. I don’t want anyone assuming you’re available either.”

“As far as the band goes, I’ve never heard of them, but their name cracks me up. It makes me think of what we’re going to be using a whole lot of soon.” I can’t help but chuckle.

“Oh, now I’m curious. What is it?”

I snort and answer, “The Rubber Band.”

Aaron throws his head back, laughing hard, and I can’t help but join in.

“Well, do they at least play anything good? We aren’t going to hear polka music, are we? If we are, I want you to turn around right now and take me for pizza or something.”

“Do I look like a dude who would go to see a polka band? I mean, when I do, I usually wear my lederhosen. No self-respecting polka fan would show up without them.”

Aaron loses it at that and doubles over in laughter. “Oh my God! You are so wearing those sometime. I don’t care if you own a pair or not, I have to complete this image in my head.”

Me and my big damn mouth. Now I’m going to have to dress up in some fuckin’ costume. I wouldn’t be caught dead in those things. I mean, it’s great as a cultural thing, but definitely not something I’m into, just like polka music.

“Sorry, I may be willing to do many things for you, but that is not one of them.”

He glances at me skeptically. “We’ll see about that. I can be very persuasive when I want something.”

Releasing my hand, he starts to massage the inside of my thigh. I stop him and move it away. There is no way I’m going into the event with a fucking hard-on, right off the damn bat. I will probably have one for most of the evening anyway, but I’m going to try to at least be comfortable to start the night.

“Uh-uh, don’t you start that shit on me yet. Save it for home. I promise I’ll let you have your way with me. Fuck, I’ll beg you to have your way with me.” I give him the double whammy of a wink and a smile.

Rolling his eyes, he huffs and sits back in his seat. “As if you won’t have your way with me too.”

Finally, we pull up to the parking area. They’ve started using part of a field for overflow, which makes the available spots less than desirable. When we get out of the vehicle, we both step right into the mud. I slip a little and slam into the damn car, hitting my side on the hood. This knocks the breath out of me for a moment, and Aaron is by my side instantly.

“Are you okay? Do you need to sit down?” He wraps his arm around me and helps me away from the car.

I’m hurting physically, but I think my pride is hurt worse. I made an ass of myself in front of my man, and on our first date, no less.

Putting a lighter expression on my face than I feel, I answer, “I’m good—just hoping we don’t get stuck in this sludge when we try to leave this dump. The damn concert grounds better be drier than this, or it’s going to be miserable.”

“Oh, come on, let’s not get negative yet. We’ll check it out, and if it sucks, we’ll go somewhere else. I’ve been looking forward to this.”

I decide he’s right, and we head into the grounds. The crowd thickens the further we get in, and Aaron stiffens up a little. I can tell the gathering is making him nervous. Grasping his hand not only to comfort him, but also to avoid losing him in the throng of people, we head to where the concert is going to be. I’m not sure what time the music is supposed to start and how the seating is going to work.
Duh, Liam. Next time find this shit out before you take him out.

We find out that it’s standing room only, and we have about an hour and a half before the band plays. Getting adventurous, we decide to check out the carnival games. Aaron loosens up a little about the public thing and is only slightly shaken when somebody bumps into him. So he’s making good progress.

We move our way slowly through the crowd to a basketball-shooting game.

The guy behind the counter can see me coming from a mile away and begins taunting me. “Well, look at you, muscle man. You look like the type that can sink it in the hole. Let’s see what you got.”

Aaron is practically doubled over with laughter already.

Cockily, I reply, “Oh, believe me, asshole, I’ve got no problems in that area.” Then, to get back at Aaron for laughing, I add, “Ask him how good I am at getting it in the hole.”

Aaron suddenly stops laughing and looks like he wants to disappear. Swiftly, his manner changes, though, and he gets an evil little twinkle in his eye.

With a smirk, he says, “Not that I’ve seen lately.”

I’m dumbfounded at his boldness. I love me some cocky Aaron, and for a moment everything fades around him as I’m filled with lust.

The game guy breaks my trance by chortling, “Whoa, dude! Way too much information for this man. So, you gonna play or what?”

As if I can walk away from either challenge. Handing over my tickets, I shoot and miss. Oh, fucking great.
Good thing you have a full wallet tonight, because you’re not walking away until you sink about ten of these damn things.

The jerk has the nerve to insult me again. “I can see why you haven’t been gettin’ any lately.”

Then he winks at Aaron. Did he just flirt with him?

I slam my hand down on the table to get his attention. “Eyes on your customer, dickhead. That was a warm-up shot.”

He stops smiling and turns to me. That’s fuckin’ right—keep your eyes off of my man.

It doesn’t take long before I hit my goal. As my prize, after all the money I sank into this stupid game, I choose a large pink elephant with a heart wrapped in its trunk.

Turning to Aaron with a big shit-eating grin on my face, I hand it to him and say, “For you, baby. I know you’ve been missing my trunk, so I thought this would be fitting.”

“Ha, ha, Liam! If you think I’m carrying that monstrosity around, you’re crazier than I originally thought.”

Snickering, I plead, “But Smoochikins, I worked so hard to win you this, and you’re going to turn your nose up at it?”

“That was so wrong. Give me the damn thing… and don’t ever call me Smoochikins again.” Aaron shudders as he repeats the pet name.

“Got it. No Smoochikins. What about Sweet Cheeks?”

Giving me a flirty smile and blushing a little, he turns to admire his own ass. “Well, at least it’s more fitting.”

Fuck yeah, it is. I’m still thinking this date thing is my brain’s way of punishing me for all my past deeds. My cock should be in that sweet ass right now, damn it!

Resolving to move forward with my plan, I wrap my arm around him and walk him in a different direction. “Come on, you, let’s see what other trouble you can get me into.”

After playing a couple more games, something catches Aaron’s eye, and he starts freaking out and yelling.

“Oh my God! I haven’t had one of these in soooo long!” Then he drags me over to a food stand. Looking like a kid at Christmas, he gazes up at me with big, hopeful, green eyes and asks, “Will you buy me a funnel cake?”

Seriously? He hasn’t figured out I’d buy him a fuckin’ island right now if he asked? “Of course, goofy. Get whatever you want and order me a soda.”

Sitting on a bench, we munch on his funnel cake and cotton candy. I wrap some of the stringy stuff around my finger and feed it to him. He instantly sucks on it with way more pressure than needed. His actions go straight to my cock, and it starts to harden.

Leaning over, I nip his ear and whisper, “Keep that up, and we’ll be going somewhere private and you will be sucking on another part of me.”

He moans as he lets go of my finger. “Don’t tease me, Liam. You’re so mean. I want that cock right now.”

Sucking in a breath at his words, I close my eyes to try to maintain control. Son of a bitch, it’s hard to be good with him. I want to slam my head against a wall to get all the fucking images flooding my mind to stop. Fuck!
Not much longer. Not much longer.

“Aaron, you are pushing me to my limits here. I’m trying to be good and be the boyfriend you deserve. I’m goin’ nuts.”

He straightens up and smiles a huge smile. “Good—let’s go. I think the music is going to start soon.”

The little shit knows exactly what he’s doing to me and he’s loving every minute of it, but if the bulge in his jeans is any indication, he’s torturing himself as much as he is me.

The music is actually good, even if the band does have a campy name. We spend most of our time wrapped around each other and humming along to the words. Our bodies pressing against each other the whole time is like perfection and hell at the same time. I can tell he is aching as much as I am with want and need.

When the concert ends, I’m ready to head to the car, but Aaron has other ideas. “Let’s go on that before we leave,” he says as he points to a giant Ferris wheel.
