Chapter Seven

I never would’ve
thought that starting college would be such a positive experience.  All that talk about girls gaining the dreaded “freshman fifteen” and students falling through the cracks has proven wrong, in my case anyway.  I have the coolest best friend, a beautiful girlfriend and great grades.  The last week has been crazy though.  With freshman year coming to an end, we all had finals the same week which was the cause for some pretty hectic schedules, a lot of coffee and late night study sessions.

Mira and I have been doing wonderful.
When I met her ten months ago, I didn’t think that she would end up being the girl I can see myself spending the rest of my life with.  We see each other almost every day.  Every second spent with Mira, I fall a little more in love.  It’s the nights that I wish we could have together.  I’m dying to be with Mira but at the same time I’m enjoying getting to know her.  I want to go at her pace, which isn’t normal for me.  I’m not a playboy by any means, but I have never waited this long for a girl before.  There’s just something about her.

Mira doesn’t seem to be one of those girls that need some huge romantic gesture to be coaxed into giving it up but I still want to give her something memorable.

I have a weekend planned that she will never forget, regardless if we have sex or not.  The permanent indentation from my fly begs to differ.  A few make out sessions have almost gotten out of control but one of us always pulls away, usually me.  It does help that Skylar is almost always around.  Our relationship must be difficult on him.  He’s used to having the girls and me being the third wheel.  I know how uncomfortable I got in the past but he seems to handle it well.  It doesn’t hurt that Mira is perfectly okay with hanging with me and Sky, which scores her a hell of a lot of extra points in the ‘Best girlfriend in the world’ contest.  What guy doesn’t want a girl that is sexy when we’re alone but cool enough to hang with the guys for pizza, beer and football?

I finish finals well before Mira and send a quick
text to Kylee letting her know my plans for the weekend that include Mira and I not being in town.  I offer to let her stay in my room at the house just in case she doesn’t want to be alone.  She declines and says she’s going to go spend the weekend with a group of girls.  I guess they’re going up north to some cabin.

I see Mira walking through the quad, right on time.  I rush over to her, wanting to get this weekend started as soon as possible, but I know she’s going to want to go pack.  There isn’t r
eally anything she needs -- other than a change of clothes -- for what I have planned, but girls always seem to need something else.

“How’d it go, Pea
?”

“God, I’m so nervous.  Of all the finals I took, this one scared the shit out of me.  I can’t fail this class,” Mira says, panicked.

“You haven’t failed anything all year; I don’t see you starting now.  Come on; let’s get you to the dorm. I have a surprise for you.”

“What kind of surprise?”
She raises an eyebrow, skeptical of my intentions.

“Just come on.”

I lead her to my bike parked on the sidewalk.  I typically ride my rocket when I pick her up from class but today I’m on my cruiser.  Okay, well not my cruiser, but Skylar’s extra bike.  This kid is spoiled rotten and his mom buys him anything.  He just happened to ask for another cruiser this year for his birthday, and what do you know, it’s the exact one I wanted.  See what I mean? Coolest best friend ever.

Mira eyes the bike as I climb on, waiting for her to join me.

“Why are you riding this?  Where is the GSX-R?”

“It’s at my house.  I think we need a relaxing ride.  Not so much about speed, but enjoying each
other’s company and the scenery.”

“I live five minutes away.  What scenery?”

“Come on, Pea, stop being difficult.  Get on.”

She climbs right on, like a pro.  Resting her hands on my hips, I drive down the sidewalk until there is an opening in the parking lot for me to pull out.  It really does only take five minutes to get her back to the dorms.  She hops off the bike, expecting me to join her.

“Okay, really, what’s going on?  Why are you still on the bike?”

“Go pack an overnight bag.  Nothing exciting.  We’re getting out of town for a day or two.  I’m serious, if it doesn’t fit in the saddle bag, you can’t take it.”

“What?!?”

“Just do it.  It’s going t
o be fun, I promise.  Run along.” I shoo her toward the door.

As soon as she’s out of sight, I send Skylar a text letting him know my plans.  He knows the exact place I’m taking her.  Growing up, our dads were really good friends, so summer trips were usually spent together.  Our parents used
to take us to this little beach on Lake Michigan.  The beautiful thing about going to the west side of the state is the dunes.  Throughout the day, there are people riding quads or dirt bikes all over the sand dunes and when the sun would set, the couples would come out, building fires and watching the sunset.  Romantic, right?

Mira comes back moments later
carrying a small bag that will fit perfectly in the bags on the side of my bike.  After she climbs back on, she kisses my neck before putting her half shell helmet over her hair.

“This is going to be fun.

“That’s the plan, Pea.  Sit back and enjoy the ride.”

It can’t be more than an hour, maybe an hour and a half into the trip, when I feel Mira’s leg twitch next to mine.  I maneuver the side mirror to look and see what’s going on.  I can’t deal with it if she’s hurt, uncomfortable or having a damn seizure.  When I can see her face, I notice the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.  Mira looks like she’s in a pure state of ecstasy.  I’ve heard stories about women having an orgasm from the vibrations of the bike, but I have never witnessed it.  Seconds later, Mira leans forward and places light kisses on the back of my neck.  I squeeze her knee, knowing that I - okay not I - but the bike gave her an orgasm.  But since I’m in control of this beast, I’m counting this as a win in my book.  The prideful smile that crosses my face is unmistakable.  I have the overwhelming need to make her look like that again.  I’m making it my mission.

We reach the dunes just as the sun is getting ready to set.  Perfect timing!  I made sure to call ahead to make reservations at a little restaurant my parents always
went to.  It overlooks the lake and is the perfect place to watch the sun set.

I have yet to tell Mira we’re going to be spending the night on the beach.  Camping out seems like an amazing idea, I just hope Mira feels the same way.  I pull the bike onto the beach, next to a huge sand dune.  Pulling the blankets from the saddle bag, I lay them out on the sand so we can finish watching the sunset.

As a kid, watching the sky turn from blue to orange always amazed me.  I love this place so much, about as much as I love Mira.  I hope she knows how important this is to me and that I’m sharing a piece of my past -- a piece of my dad -- with her.

It’s getting darker and soon there won’t be any light to speak of.   I am able to use the headlight from the bike to illuminate the area
where we’ll be sleeping.  I’m on fire tonight, ladies and gentlemen.

I turn on the
bike’s radio.  I look over at Mira, who’s mouthing the words of the song -- something about loving someone for a thousand years -- and she has tears welling in her eyes.  Taking my chance to hold onto her and start taking care of her, I wrap her in my arms and start to sway us from side to side.  Mira looks up at me, her emerald green eyes glistening with moisture, smiling.  She leans forward and kisses me lightly but with so much passion.  I know girls are supposed to be the ones big on kissing, but her kisses make me weak in the knees.  All I ever want to do is kiss her.  I will deal with the hell that is college and the pain of losing my dad so young, just for more kisses from Mira.

I don’t exactly know how it happens, call it heat of the moment, but the next thing I notice is we’re lying on the blanket, both of us just wearing our underwear.
Looking at her body is magical. I’ve done it many times before, but seeing my goddess lying in my arms on a romantic beach, and the moonlight dancing across her tanned skin is almost too much to bear.

“Mira, I love you so much.  I never thought I would meet the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with when I was nineteen.  You’re all I ever want.  You’re the smartest, kindest, most beautiful woman I have ever seen.  If you’re not ready, Pea, I can wait.  I just want
you to know that I am mesmerized by you and knowing one day that you will be mine, in all aspects, is enough to keep me patient.”

Mira pushes me back
, until I am no longer hovering over her.  She slips her panties over her hips and unclasps her bra, exposing herself to me, and God am I having a hard time controlling myself.  I stand up, still staring at this girl and knowing what she’s about to give me, I remove my boxers and set them near Mira’s recently discarded underwear.  I lie on the blanket and position myself at her entrance, ready to take her.  I wrap us up in the blanket and try to cool down.  I don’t want to jump the gun.

I start nibbling at her neck and
whisper in her ear, “Are you sure?”

“I’m sure, Danny.  I have wanted to do this for months, but I needed
to make sure that you loved me like I love you.  I think that you do.”

“You have no idea how much I love you.  You’re my moon, my stars and my universe.  I’m so glad I could get you away this weekend.  I can’t wait to spend the summer with you.  I might keep you in bed most of it though, fair warning.”

“Promise?”

“Pea, you know how I am with my promises.”

“My point exactly.”

Slipping into her heat
slowly, Mira’s body bows naturally into mine.  She looks uncomfortable but asks me to keep going.  After a few minutes, she’s accustomed to my size and the alien feeling of being with someone.  I was no virgin going into this, but I swear this experience with Mira is more amazing than when I actually lost my virginity.  I have never wanted anyone the way I want her.  I finally have my girl, in my arms, beneath my body and I’m never letting her go.

After we make love for the first time, I can’t imagine this going any more perfect than it did.  I get off the makeshift bed to turn
the headlight off on the bike when I catch Mira staring at me.  I totally forgot I’m naked.  Quickly getting back under the covers, I take Mira in my arms and rub small circles on her stomach.

“I’m going to marry you one day, Mira Rae.”

“Promise?”

Chapter Eight

I made good on my promise to keep Mira in bed the majority of the summer.  Skylar and Kylee decided to spend time with their families, which left Mira and I alone in the house for the most part.  Skylar and Kylee would come back on weekends to hang out and catch up.

The girls decide that they want to get an apartment this year and not stay in the dorms.  I think it’s a great idea, especially since most of the dorms have curfews and
‘no boys allowed’ rules.  Any extra time I can spend with Mira the better.

Mira and Kylee’s parents agree to pay the rent in the apartment, provided t
he girls maintain their GPA. That shouldn’t be difficult for them.  Both girls are smart.  Mira more so than Kylee, but Ky is no dummy.  If the girl applied herself more to her school work than her attempt to find a man, she would be exceptional.

I don’t have the greatest eye for fashion or interior decorating, so Mira asks if it’s okay that she takes Skylar with her furniture shopping and maybe clothes shopping, if they have time.  Skylar always did have great taste.  He picked out
all the furniture for our house and it fits us perfectly.  Manly but not caveman.

“Really?  It’s okay that I call him?” Mira asks, excited that I said yes about Skylar and the shopping.

“Yes, really.  Call him.”

Mira picks up her phone and dials Skylar
, quickly.

“Hey, it’s me.  Okay, so we’re going shopping.  Come ge
t me,” Mira says into the phone.  I can’t hear what Skylar says in response, but the next words out of Mira’s mouth have me spitting pop all over the bare hardwood floors in her new apartment.

“I love your face, Sky.  You’re the best pseudo boyfriend a girl could have.”

“Pseudo boyfriend, huh?” I ask, amused.

“Yep.  He’s the next best thing to you.  Sky is gonna be here in ten minutes
. Maybe you and Kylee can go grocery shopping and I’ll cook us dinner when I get back?”

“No problem, anything special?”

“Nope, whatever you want,” Mira says, picking through a box of clothes, looking for something else to wear I assume.

“What’s wrong with what you have on?”

“Nothing, just want to change.  I’ve been unpacking all day, I just want something fresh and clean and I don’t have time for a quick shower.  This will have to do,” Mira says, pulling out a pair of tight black exercise pants and a fitted tee shirt.

“Are those the pants that make your ass look amazing?” I
grab her waist and place my palms on her perfectly round ass.

“Yep, eat your heart out.  I gotta get ready, stop,” Mira says in response to me biting at her neck.

I back away, hands in the air, allowing her to go get ready.  Mira is so unbelievably sexy.  I think the thing that sets her apart from all of the other girls -- and there are a lot of attractive girls on campus -- is the fact that she doesn’t know how sexy she is.

A few hours later, Mira and Skylar return to the apartment, laughing about something that must have just happened.  Mira swats her hand at Skylar, trying to hit his chest, when he catches it and kisses her knuckles.

Letting the momentary pang of jealousy roll off my shoulders, I follow Mira into the kitchen where she’s standing at the counter looking at the groceries.

“How did the shopping go?” I whisper as I kiss the part of her n
eck that goes into her shoulder.

“Amazing.  We picked some really cute stuff.  It’s being delivered in a few days.  Skylar is really good at picking stuff out.  Usually guys that are good at that stuff and are so damn pretty bat for the other team.  If I didn’t know any better, I would think he’s a switch hitter.”

A switch hitter?  Skylar? I can’t help but laugh so hard I double over at the kitchen counter.

“What’s so funny?” Skylar says, chiming into our conversation.  He walks over sticking his fingers in the food that Mira has pulled out to prepare.

“Oh nothing other than Mira was questioning your sexuality,” I choke out, unable to control my laughter.

“My sexuality?” Skylar says, looking between Mira and me.

“You know, Sky, you’re a good looking guy.  Where’s all the arm candy?  I haven’t seen you so much as try to pick up a girl at a bar.  Got something to tell us?” Mira giggles.

“Haven’t noticed anyone in a while, that’s all,” Skylar says.

“How long’s a while?” I ask.

“Since orientation last year.  No big deal.  When I find her, I’ll let you guys know.”

Who did he see at orientation last year?  I was with him almost the entire time.  Maybe it was before I got to campus.

A little while later, Mira calls all of us to the breakfast bar in the kitchen to eat dinner.  None of us waste any time digging in.  Anot
her point on Mira’s tally chart: the girl can cook like the Gods.

After we finish and toss out the paper plates, Kylee grabs all of us beers from the fridge.

“How about we go out tonight?  I don’t want to sit here, there’s nothing to do,” Kylee says with a pouty face.

“Ky, it’s already 10:30!  B
y the time we get ready and get out of here, it’s going to be too late,” Mira hollers from the kitchen.

“If you guys want to go out, we can go to the clubhouse,” Skylar offers.

I look at Skylar like he’s insane.  It’s a Saturday night, the clubhouse is going to be packed and open to the public.  I haven’t taken Mira there before for a specific reason; I don’t want her caught up in any of the drama.

“I don’t
know, Sky.  Maybe another night.” I give him a look that says “shut the fuck up”.

“That sounds like fun, Danny.  Please, can we go?”
Mira’s making a puppy dog face, expecting me to give in, which of course I do.

“Alright girls, get dressed.  Be ready in thirty.  We’re going to go home and change.  We’re on the bikes tonight, no heals
and no purses,” I say, exasperated.

Mira wastes no time jumping over the arm of the couch, into my arms and proceeds to kiss my face all over.  She quickly hops off my lap and runs to Skylar,
giving him a kiss on the cheek as well.

“Thanks for the idea.  Go get
ready; we’ll see you guys soon.  Go, go!” Mira yells, shooing us out the door to get ready.

The ride back to our house is quiet and uncomfortable.  I want so badly to ask Skylar what all that was about tonight.  It’s one thing to call her Sweets and take her shopping, but he kissed her hand and she kissed his cheek.  I love Kylee like Skylar should love Mira and I don’t go around kissing her or letting her kiss me.

I just don’t want to jump to conclusions.  Skylar is my best friend and Mira is my girlfriend.  With the exception of my mom, these two wouldn’t hurt me for anything. Man that would hurt.  It would kill me to think that they would go behind my back.  Just the thought of it gets me so upset, I can’t see straight.

It doesn’t take us long to get ready.  Cl
ubhouse attire is pretty simple; jeans, white tee shirt, sneakers and a hat to wear under our helmet.  Skylar has been talking about joining the club when we’re finished with college.  He really wants to run a shop that fixes bikes and be a part of the club; follow in his uncle’s footsteps.  I’m not so sure it’s a good idea.  Going to the clubhouse to have fun as a civilian is a great time, don’t get me wrong, but all the politics and the lifestyle aren’t for me.

Just as we’re pulling up to the
girls’ apartment, both of them come walking downstairs dressed to kill.  Mira has the longest, sexiest legs I’ve ever seen.  Let’s not even talk about how sexy they are wrapped around my back.  The girl is wearing a pair of skinny jeans, tucked into knee high black boots and the black riding jacket I got for her over the summer.  Kylee looks similar other than she’s wearing thigh high boots.  She’s ridiculous.

The ride to the club house is smooth and relaxing.  This is one of the many reasons that I love to ride the rocket.  Mira is pressing her body so tight to
mine; I can almost feel her heartbeat.  Crouching down even further, I hit the throttle, sending us speeding past Skylar and Kylee.  The grip on my waist tightens and I swear Mira is playing with my dick through my pants.  If she keeps this up, we’re not going to make it to the clubhouse and we’re both going to experience fucking on the bike.
Not a bad idea.

When we get to the clubhouse, we don’t have to wait long before the gates open.
I’ve done this many times but bringing Mira here feels weird.  This isn’t a place I want Mira to be.  These are good guys, but if we’re being honest, they aren’t always on the up and up.  They don’t go around killing people or anything, to the best of my knowledge, but they spend their nights screwing around with patch whores.  I don’t want Mira thinking this is how I want to live my life, because it’s not.

A girl like Mira is too good to be in a place like this.  I should have just said no when Skylar brought up this genius idea
, but no.  I can’t tell Mira no about anything.  The girl runs my universe.  If she wants it, she gets it.

The Hooliganz clubhouse isn’t like most others.  Typically, the clubhouse is just for members of that specific club, but the Hooliganz open their clubhouse to other clubs and the public one night a month to make extra, legal money.  We walk through the front doors and find an open table, which is a surprise.  There must be over a hundred people
crammed in the small bar.  Seeing Mira’s face sets me at ease.  She looks totally comfortable and smiles genuinely at people, regardless of how terrifying or slutty they look.  This girl continues to surprise me.

From the corner of my eye I see Kink, the President’s wife, walking over to our table with a shit eating grin on her face.

“Look at you boys and these pretty girls you came with,” Kink says, pulling me in for a hug and then patting Skylar on his shoulder.

“It’s good to see you, Kink.  Is Prowler around?” I ask.

“Yeah, he’s around here somewhere.  Got a few new prospects in the last week or so and he’s breaking them in.  I think Lance is with him.  If I see them, I’ll send them over.  Get these girls some drinks.”

“What do you want to drink?” I whisper in Mira’s ear.  For the first time tonight, she looks uncomfortable.

“I don’t know what to order.  I’d usually get a beer, but I want to try something different.”

I got just the thing.  I’ll be right back,” Kink says, maneuvering around the bodies and heading back to the bar.

“Are you okay?” I ask Mira.

“It’s a little different that I imagined.  It’s weird, but I feel really comfortable here.  It’s different than a regular bar.  I know it’s supposed to be scary and intimidating, but I feel like I’m safe here.  Like nobody will let anything happen to me.  Does that make sense?”

“Yeah, Pea, it makes sense.
” I kiss the top of her head.  As much as I don’t want her to feel uncomfortable in a place like this, the way she does feel, makes my stomach turn a little.  This isn’t the life I would imagine for us and the fact that she feels so happy here bothers me.  This is the life that Skylar wants when we finish school.  Would she be happier with a guy like Skylar?  Just as I’m starting to over analyze my relationship status based off of a ten second conversation, Kink comes back over with a tray of drinks.

Setting two glasses filled with clear liquid in front of Mira and Kylee and two beers in front of Skylar and
me, she pulls a chair up to our table.  Mira takes her glass and takes a small drink through the straw.

“This is really good.  What is it?”

“Oh honey, that’s only my favorite drink.  Sprite and cotton candy vodka.  Careful though, those fuckers tend to sneak up on you.”

“I’ll be careful,” Mira giggles, taking a cautious sip.

At least an hour goes by before we see Lance and Prowler walking through the bar.

“There’s my old man.  Better go see if he needs anything,” Kink says, bowing out of our conversation in search of her husband.

I make eye contact with Lance and nod my head at him, saying hello.  His crooked teeth are visible through his grin as he starts to make his way over to our table.  It’s like every step he takes, he’s being clapped on the back by someone.  He’s really a big deal around here and a great guy to have on your side if you ever need it.

When he approaches, I stand to shake his hand.
Skylar does the same, but instead of a handshake, Skylar gets a firm hug.  Lance looks around our table, confused, as he doesn’t know who the girls are.  I’m about to introduce Mira and Kylee, but Skylar takes the lead, and I let him.

“Lance, you remember Danny.  This is Danny’s girlfriend, Mira,” Skylar says pointing at Mira, “and her best friend and roommate, Kylee.”

Skylar and Lance share an awkward look after Sky introduces Mira.  Almost like Lance knew who she was, somehow.

“Well ladies, it’s nice to meet you.  If you need anything, let me know.  My house is your house,” Lance says, patting me on the shoulder, “But I have to get back to the prospects.  Sometimes those new boys are dumb as dirt.

“I’ll follow you out,” Skylar says, leaving with his uncle.  This night just keeps getting weirder and weirder.  Why does he need to leave with his uncle?  Is he thinking of patching in still?
