I was drawn to her innocence. Her smile made my heart
twist and blend into an acerbic bumping inside my chest.

Her eyes…

“Fuck…”

My fists hit the wall again.

She has the most hypnotizing eyes; they go from emerald,
to turquoise, to a sweet and light honey, constantly playing with my heartbeat.
It was mesmerizing; every color fit a state of mind. I love how they dilate
over the blazing honey whenever she wants me.

I watch her getting angry, jealous, or stressed. She tries
to hide it, but her eyes betray her. I can always tell what she’s thinking. I
knew she loved me from the moment she felt it strongly.

At first, it scared me. “What a coward I was…”

I mutter under my breath.

I put her in a category of women she didn’t fit into out
of spite, but mostly because she scared the fuck out of me. She is beautiful,
soulful, and addictive.

“Where is she?”

I need to find her. If it weren’t for Jared menacing me,
I’d be looking for her with Jude. But Jared said he had a good lead, and after
I hit the two motherfuckers that knew Caden and Audrey’s associate, he
suggested a shower while him and his team track him down.

I lose all sense and reason when it comes to Clea. So does
Jude. He controlled himself while Jared and I were interrogating the two men,
but once they started talking, he walked inside the room and threw punches
around, resulting in me joining him, and one of them being taken to the ER by
Dixon.

I need to see her. I need to hold her.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

My first instinct was to have her at my side at all times,
to hell with work and everything else. She is all that matters.

I will kill the motherfucker. I will kill both of them. I
should’ve known better than to get back to San Diego for the wedding. I exposed
her to the danger she’s in right now.

I reach for a towel and walk out of the shower. The room
is covered in steam. I can see her jumping up to sit on the counter, offering
me an opening, inviting me to claim her once and again. I can see her flushed
cheeks, her rebelled bun, and her crossed legs. She’d be aching for the touch
of my hand, her eyes burning with desire.

My fingers twitch as if reaching for her reflection,
aching for the feel of her skin against mine. I make her heart beat faster, and
I can feel it every time I take her in my arms. It’s scary; the amount of love
she carries for me, I never doubted it.

Except for that day in my office, when she confronted me
with the video. I saw disgust and disappointment, in addition to something I
couldn’t figure out. It ate at me. It still does.

A knock came to the bedroom and I rush out cursing after
the loss of her image. But there she is again, on my bed, our bed.

“Landon?” The voice is weak and defeated, nothing like the
woman carrying it.

“I’ll be right out Miss Seiter.”

She walks in anyway. I remain calm, I’ve already lashed
out on her way too many times, and I know Clea wouldn’t approve of it. But Damn
that six inch of a woman is so infuriating. She knows nothing about boundaries,
or respecting people’s privacy.

She’s been snooping around my private business, and I
don’t like it, not one bit.

“I’m sorry, but I need to talk to you.” She turns away when
she her eyes fall on my naked waist and I round back inside the walk-in closet
to get dressed.

“What is it Miss Seiter? I’m all ears.” I say to her, only
half attentive. I scroll down the screen of my phone reading Jared’s updates.

It takes me a moment to realize that she wasn’t speaking.
Even being inside our shared closet is overwhelming. I can’t believe she’s not
here, it’s supposed to be our first day of living together, I had plans for the
weekend, but now she’s gone. Taken from me by a scorned psycho and a narcissistic
son of a bitch.

I hope to god – if there is one – that she’s
not harmed. I hope that she knows that I’m coming for her, that she’s not
alone, and that I love her.

I love her for choosing to love me, for being the woman
she is, for making me smile when my heart aches, and for making my chest hurt when
I lose the sight of her smile.

Jenna interrupts the course of my thoughts, “I know I’m
not your favorite person in the world, and frankly, it doesn’t really matter
right now. But you have to know…”

She stops as I reappear inside the bedroom; I nod silently
signaling for her to continue. She swallows, seemingly struggling. She is
Clea’s sister after all, and I have no doubt about the love she has for her,
but she’s invading and disrespectful.

“If this new lead works out… Mhh…I mean, if you find
Clea…”

“When I find Clea.” I correct her and she nods.

Taking me by surprise, Jenna rushes to me and hugs me.

My anger and frustration evaporate the moment her arms
were around my neck. She’s crying and I can’t help soothing her, as she does
for Clea, as all of them do with each other. I remain baffled by their
friendship, all of them. Mostly Jude and Clea, it’s passionate, honest, and
inspiring. I can’t help being envious.

“I’m sorry about what I said to you, I’m scared Landon,
and you didn’t deserve it.” Jenna struggles to talk past her tears, and she’s
still unable to face me, but she continues, “I see it now, you really do love
her, just like we do, and somehow a lot more. Just find her, and when you do,
just make sure to control yourself.”

She pulls away and wipes her tears; her posture is more
calm and composed, “Don’t do anything irrational that you might regret. Just
take her out of there and let the police handle Caden and Audrey. Make her your
priority, don’t let…”

“She is my priority.” I cut her off.

She nods, “I know she is, but your judgment is clouded by
anger and revenge. A lifetime in prison is plenty, and you can find some
creative ways to make them suffer.”

She walks back to me, “Trust me Landon, I know my friend,
so don’t do anything that would make you look dangerous and beyond repair.”

I nod silently.

There’s no fucking way I’m not breaking the bastard’s
bones, limb by limb. I warned him, I warned both of them. They had it coming,
especially Audrey. She knows what I’m capable of.

My ringtone echoes from the closet and I run to it, it’s
Jared.

“You better give me some good news.” I rush on as soon as
I answer the call.

“We found them. Do you want a team out there or the
police?”

“Where are they?”

“A cabin near New Haven, Connecticut.” He announces
rapidly.

I pull a pair of shoes and stride out of the room,
followed by a confused Jenna.

“Can you meet me at exit 17, Triboro Bridge?” Jared asks,
“I mean it’s better, but I can come to you if you want to.”

“There’s no need for that, I have two helicopters on
standby, take one with your team. I’ll text you the address.” I walk through
the hallway and climb the stairs, “I want constant updates, no police.” I kill
the call and walk inside the guest bedroom without knocking.

“We’re up, they found them.”

Jude jolts up from the bed next to Helen and walks behind
me.

“Where are they?” Jenna and Jude urge in unison as Ryan
walks out of the kitchen with a tray of tea. He runs to put it down safely and
turns his attention to me.

“We don’t have time for questions, they’re in CT, we’ll
call you from the car.”

They all acquiesce in silence as Jude and I get inside the
elevator.

“Mr. Davis, we’re ready for you.” The pilot rushes out to
me and yells over the sound of the rotors.

I nod silently and urge him to get going; every minute
counts and I have no idea how Clea is holding up.

“What’s the ETA on Jared and his team?” Jude asks as he
climbs next to the pilot.

“Approximately eight minutes.”

We both acquiesce as the pilot sets up for take off.

My mind goes back to the morning before, the way she woke
me up. It was the whole reason I wasn’t afraid of opening up to her in the car.

I was barely awake, I could see her walking up to me with
a tray of food, dressed in my blue shirt and boxers, she lit up the whole room.

I watched her slip out of the shirt. It slid smoothly over
her silk-like shoulders and along her arms, revealing fully erect breasts. My
mouth went dry at the sight of flushed cheeks, all hot and burning for me. She
picked up a red rose from the tray and brushed it slowly from her cheeks, down
her neck, and circled the petals around her nipples.

Cutting the stem in half, she placed the rose behind her
ear and let her hair fall around her shoulders. She knew I was pretending to be
asleep. I loved how comfortable she got around me, beautiful, innocent, sexy,
and utterly provocative.

Shuffling out of my boxers, she slowly climbed on the bed,
and slid her body along mine.

“Good morning Mr. Davis.” She said with an uncommonly
erotic voice.

I groaned as she rocked herself against me, I could feel
her insides clenching, provoked by the feel of my warm body and my erection,
which had nothing to do with physiology and everything to do with her.

“Good morning future Mrs. Davis.”

I could feel the air rushing out of her chest as I said
the words. She fell silent for a long moment, as if she was picturing it in her
mind before the tension lifted off and let access to the most hypnotizing smile
I’ve ever seen.

She rocked herself against my cock again, “I like the
sound of that, future Mr. Dane.”

She took my breath away; I could feel the tip of my
erection slipping across her entrance. She was teasing me, building me up. I
loved the control she has on me. She thinks I hold all the control, when in
reality, the moment she’s away from me, I feel lifeless and void.

“I had a thought while I was cooking you breakfast.” She
murmured, brushing her pussy over my dick.

I snorted, concealing the effect the gesture had on me,
“That doesn’t sound good.” I teased and pushed my erection to brush over her
wet clitoris.

“What’s your opinion on threesomes?”

The question was out of the blue, but it had an instant
effect on me. My whole body stilled underneath her, so much so, that it felt as
the whole world stilled around her. I calmed my fury before it got the best of
what seemed like a promising start to the day.

“Overrated, sloppy, and so not happening.” I bucked my
hips up and extracted a moan.

She pouted, “So you had one before?” She couldn’t hide the
gleam of jealousy that fired her eyes up and turned into a dark emerald green.
She wanted to play, and I loved teasing her, testing her resolve, and see how
possessive she is when it comes to me.

“As a matter of fact, I had quite a few of those,
especially in college, and when I became successful, and after dating a famous
actress. She was into the lifestyle.”

I spoke calmly, provocative even. I saw the blood drain
from her cheeks and continued; “I guess when you have as many threesomes as I
did you’ll eventually think them sloppy and boring.”

She was speechless until I poked her, “I guess so.” Her
voice was small.

“Why do you ask?” I insisted, willing to go as far as she
wants to, “What made you wonder about threesomes?”

Asking the question, I instantly regretted it, I saw a
fleeting spark, just a glimpse, which usually meant she was up to something and
ready to throw in something infuriating.

“I don’t know.” She shrugged mischievously, “I thought about
how experienced you are in all sex matters, and how new and curious I am
– and I had this idea…”

I knew she was up to no good, and I regretted not stopping
her by sinking my hard cock inside her defying, tight, and oh so warm cunt when
she pronounced the next sentence.

“We can have one; me, you, and maybe another guy, or girl.
Whichever, I don’t mind either.”

I felt a rush of blood rushing up and blinding my vision.
The thought of anyone else touching her, brushing their filthy hands over her
skin, tasting her lips, her wet clit, feeling the inside of her cunt… I saw
red.

This is what she does; this is what she loves, having me
at her mercy, screeching and willing to claim her. In her mind, I was to react
as expected. I had to state the obvious and claim her. However, I had a totally
different idea.

Moving her from atop of me, I studied her, she was naked,
wet, doubtful, and ready for me to take her any way I wanted her. But I hated
that she thought that she wasn’t enough for me, and I knew for a fact that she
doesn’t want another man touching her. I knew she would die before allowing any
bastard to put his hand on her. That’s how much I knew she loved me.

“Come with me.” I said extending my hand to her.

She looked at me, a mix of disappointment and curiosity in
her eyes, and then stood to brush her nipples against my chest.

My pretty mischievous little thing.

We walk out of the room, she was silent, but I could tell
her brain was broiling, especially watching the way she shifted from one leg to
the other.

Once inside my office, I strode to my desk and reached for
a folder in my top drawer and removed it. I flipped through the pages and
smiled at her.
