And here he thought he was a manly man. Chanti had reduced him to nothing more than elemental man, a half step above a full-fledged Neanderthal. Gripping her hips his mouth descended, taking her kiss, swallowing her cries of pleasure. He wanted to be everywhere at once. He didn’t have enough hands and needed an extra mouth. No way would a lifetime be nearly enough.

“Oh God, Egan, I can’t...I’m going to...” Whatever she was going to say was cut off by a surprised little scream, her nails digging into his ass cheeks.

It was beyond rapture. Her pussy clamped down like a velvet vice on him, sucking with determination. No matter how hard he tried, Egan couldn’t hold on. Lord knows he tried. His hips responded, pistoning inside her in desperation for some semblance of sanity. There was none to be found. The hurricane that was Chanti swept him away in her fierce heat, making him surrender not only his essence but all he was, all he would ever be to her.

In his minds eyes, Egan imagined the shackles clasping around him with finality. Oddly all he could do was smile wanly at the image in his head. If he was going to be shackled, there wasn’t another on earth he’d rather be shackled to.

Retreat! Retreat!

Holy shit she’d screwed up big time. Sprawled on her arch nemesis's desk, Chanti knew she’d been changed forever. Nothing was ever going to be the same again. How could she have been so colossally stupid? And she couldn’t even move to beat a quick retreat. Not with her bones all melted and her muscles turned to putty. Maybe if she acted like nothing had happened he would forget about it?

“Umm, so you wanted the numbers?” It sounded stupid even to her own ears so no wonder he was looking at her like she’d just lost her mind.

“You think I need those numbers?” Egan asked her incredulously.

Of course he needed her stats. Otherwise she would have never in a million years have entered the lion’s den, the dragon's lair, the sex pad of a notorious libertine. And yeah maybe she did make up that last bit, but it fit him to the tee as far as she was concerned.

“You damn well had better need those numbers because I didn't come here to be uh, um, well you know.”

The man didn't even have the grace to pull out of her. Instead he did the opposite, flexing his hips to let her know he was still buried deep inside her and...Good Lord the man was hard again. Was that even humanly possible? Maybe he was some kind of sexual alien sent to earth just to torment her.

“You assistant emailed me your stats a week ago, when they were due, nice and neat in an Excel spreadsheet like they’re supposed to be, as she does every quarter.”

Okay now that was a little factoid Chanti didn’t know. Every fucking quarter for over a year, Egan made her recite each and every figure while crowded close at his desk. Just what the hell did he mean he had her numbers from her assistant? And
every
quarter. She was going to kill him. Just as soon as he stopped making those tiny little thrusts. They was making it hard to think.

“Why am I here, Egan?” She didn’t mean to sound all breathless like that. Completely his fault, another reason he had to die. Later.

“Because you are the most stubborn, beautiful, and wonderful woman I have ever met in my life,” he responded as if that explained a damned thing.

“I- I- OH!” Those weren't barely perceptible thrust anymore. He was stroking inside her in earnest, his mouth making itself at home on the sensitive skin on the side of her neck.

She was going to say something, she was sure of it. She just didn’t have a clue what.

“You’re mine, Chanti. You’ve been mine for a while now.” His voice had gone all deep and deadly again. It possessed her every bit as much as his body was. “I did what I had to do to finally make you realize you're mine.”

As much as she would’ve liked to complain, to deny, to beat feet and never, ever return, she was helpless under the onslaught of his passion. Later…later she’d give him a piece of her mind and get the hell out of here. Just as soon as-

“Egan!” The orgasm hit her out of nowhere, knocking every other thought from her mind. Her body shattered, her soul went soaring to the heavens. Corny as hell, but nonetheless true.

“That’s right baby, come for me.”

Didn’t he know she just did? She was so going to give him a piece of her mind. Later.

Much Later...

“I’m going to kill you, you know.”

Egan smiled at Chanti’s words, muttered against his chest. Having finally made it to the bed, it had been twenty-four hours since either of them had left his room. Their room now, but he wisely decided to wait to inform her of it.

“I know, little Fierce. And I deserve it too.”

“I so hate you,” she responded all sullen, like a child told she couldn’t have a cookie before bed.

          “I love you too, baby.”

Chanti grumbled something unintelligible before snuggling down and falling to sleep. Egan allowed himself a full-fledged Cheshire grin as soon as her soft snores floated in the air around him. When she woke to find his ring on her finger she was most definitely going to try to kill him.

          He couldn’t wait.
