Study the Code until you can look at any number and know its corresponding sound(s) or any sound and know its corresponding number. You will use this Number Code many times in this book. More important, once you have mastered it, you are likely to use it every day for the rest of your life.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF THE NUMBER CODE: TELEPHONE AREA CODES

There are thousands of applications of the Number Code. One very practical and timesaving use of this technique is for remembering telephone numbers. In fact, with the Number Code, it is much faster and easier to remember telephone numbers than to look them up!

Here is an example of how the Number Code can be applied to the area codes for cities, while recognizing that some cities have multiple codes:
